Hey BR, this one is for you ;)

Garretts' PFF grade is 86.4, which is 14th out of 115 eligible edge defenders, and ahead of players like Suggs, Orakpo, Matthews, Bennett, Dunlap, Ansah, T.J. Watt (who is 47th, btw), Dumervil, & JPP. Clowney is 13th. Garrett is a 21 year-old rookie.

Where was he Sunday?

On another (surprising) note, Patriots ink Kenny Britt to a 2 year deal.

I still say Dilfer, Delhomme and Weeden were the worst QBs I have ever watched play multiple games for the Browns.

I'll give you Delhomme but Dilfer (11 TD's, 12 INT's) and Weeden (14 TD's, 17 INT's) put up better numbers. Unless Kizer (9 TD's, 17 INT's) plays three clean games, I'm betting his INT's will be around 20+/-.

Getting rid of Britt was such an awesome first move.

We should have two top 10 picks this year. History isn’t on our side, but here’s to drafting the best QB at 1 and some help on defens with the other pick!

I guess it really depends on how Dorsey goes about this.

If they were to go all in for Kirk Cousins (doubtful), I'd burn the first three picks on offense (WR, RB, LT?) and then fill in the defense from there and FA.

If they were to bring in an Alex Smith type, I'd use the 1st pick on a QB and follow what you're saying.

Not saying they will get a guy like Cousins but, if they did, I'd load up the offensive side of the ball because they should be able to score enough points and the defense should be competitive enough, with a few additions.

I'd definitely add another top flight receiver with the assumption that they won't be able to rely on Gordon in the offseason. If there's a good WR in FA, I'd look at that too.

I don’t think we need to focus on the WR group until we figure out a few other areas of need. Josh Gordon seems to have turned things around, the best thing he could have done was surround himself with the right people and he has. We have a #1 WR and hopefully Coleman can play well these last 3 games and give us hope he can be a legit #2. And I like Njoku and think he can be a good pass catching TE for us.

Not sure we need to focus on LT either. Joe Thomas has several more elite years at LT for the browns.

And id still get a QB in the first round even if we do get Cousins (we won’t). Doesn’t hurt to groom a young QB for the future.

If we go with QB at 1 and a journeyman like Smith, I wouldn’t be against going the redskins rg3/Cousins route and spending the first overall pick on a QB and a 2-3rd rounder on another one. Worked for Washington.

Yikes..

The weakness of a Cover 3 defense is the seam between the deep third defenders. Gordon identifies the coverage well and sits down in the zone’s soft spot 20 yards down the field. Deshone Kizer has all day to throw but elects to check it down to Isaiah Crowell instead. To add insult to injury, Kizer throws behind Crowell.

and

On a 1st and 10 play near midfield with less than a minute to go in the second quarter, Gordon embarrasses Randall and has the deep half safety beat. Unfortunately, his quarterback badly underthrows him. He’s forced to slow up, which allows the safety to cover lost ground.

and

Not only that, but Kizer doesn’t put the ball toward the sideline, which doesn’t give Gordon much a chance to catch it. In fact, that may be the reason Gordon didn’t draw a defensive pass interference call despite egregious contact. Had Kizer thrown this ball with touch on it, it’s likely a touchdown.

and

And while this is neither here nor there, Gordon could have had another touchdown had Kizer not locked onto his first read (Corey Coleman) on a late third-quarter touchdown.

 Josh Rosen/Baker Mayfield please

Yeah, they’re kind of stating the obvious there: kizer is fucking awful.

But that article at least contrsdict’ Vball’s claim that kizer would be good with a good WR. Lol vball any thoughts on that?

I'd pump the brakes on Gordon. Yeah, he's doing fine right now but let's see how he handles a full offseason, with all of the free time in the world, before declaring him "cured" and not having a need at WR.

I'd also pump the brakes on JT. Yeah, he's a great player but let's see if he even has the desire to continue playing. As I've said before, even if he does heal fairly quickly, he's likely going to have to start the 2018 season on IR and won't be eligible until midseason. Will he want to come back halfway through the year? Only he knows that.

If they go with Cousins (unlikely), bad idea to take a QB #1 overall. Cousins will expect to be the guy and drafting a QB there is opening a can of worms.

I didn’t mean the #1 pick. I meant Houston’s first rounder. Or a 2nd-3rd rounder. Someone to groom behind Cousins for a few years. But again, very small chance Cousins comes to Cleveland.

And im not pumping the brakes on JT amd JG. I fully expect both of them to be playing in Cleveland for at least a couple more years and both at elite levels. It’s just my prediction. Not really sure why you think someone who puts his head down and comes to work every day is just going to retire 5 years before he realistically has to, but okay. And again you with JG and his relapse lol from all indications out there, he’s clean and doing perfectly fine. But if you want to keep mentioning how his fuck up is imminent, by all means continue to do so.

JT has discussed retirement and hasn't committed to returning in 2018, unless you've heard something I haven't?

As far as Gordon goes, you have to be delusional to think that everything's sunshine & ponies with the guy. He's an ADDICT. He can fall off the wagon at ANY moment. Has nothing to do with me "predicting" whether he will or not. The guy has failed time & time again. If Dorsey's smart, I sure as Hell wouldn't be relying on the guy to be my #1 in 2018. It would be great if JG is right, and I hope he is, but I wouldn't bank on it like you seem to be. Smart thing to do would be to get an insurance policy at WR because Coleman sure doesn't look like that guy.

Not all addicts fall off the wagon. Just because he was fucking up over and over again doesn’t mean I’m going to assume he’s gonna do it again. I’d prefer to give him a chance before I shit on him call him an addict and say odds are against him.

I agree that not all addicts fall off the wagon, and I hope he doesn't. It would be a great comeback story, but you're acting like he ISN'T an addict ("before I shit on him call him an addict") which he is, and I believe he's admitted himself. All I'm saying is I wouldn't get my hopes up too much with this guy (because you are) when his history tells you there's a good chance he's going to let you down.

Your comments act as if he's a lock to be their #1 WR in 2018 and I think that's far from the case. I want to see how he does this offseason.

I just think he’s turned it around. Just my opinion, but I don’t think we have to worry about him relapsing. I could be wrong, who knows. If you were to ask me a year ago I’d say we’d never see him play again.  But after reading about his recovery and who he’s surrounded himself with, I’m confident in saying he’ll stick to football and not drugs/booze.

Not too worried about alienating an 0-13 locker room. The majority of this roster still sucks.

I expect a blow out from the beginning. Probably down two scores at half wtih Ravens getting the ball to start the 2nd half.
