One of the top running back free agents this offseason, Carlos Hyde has signed a three-year deal, worth more than $15 million with the Cleveland Browns, according to Ian Rapoport, including $6 million in the first year.

Browns draft day picture changes .... with this news  Hyde would be a great veteran addition with Duke and Crow

Belly new pics...

#1 Bradley Chubb DE

#4 Sam Darnold QB

The only RB I could get that would make me not think about Barkley is Leveon Bell.

Why, because you could use the #4 (or #6, if they trade down) on one of those top 4 things I mentioned (specifically pass rusher-Chubb, or CB-Fitzpatrick/Ward)? Any one of the RB's Crimson mentioned would make a significant impact on this offense.

Yeah it would suck. Top 5? LOL he's not even top RB in this class, let alone the fucking NFL.

I didn’t say top 5 talent in the NFL, numb nuts.

This. The later you get in the draft, the higher probability he doesn’t pan out. If we can take a sure fire weapon to add to the top QB in the draft, who would possibly be upset with that?

No, not really. I'm not stating anything any NFL GM wouldn't say.

If you were to survey any one of them (could be an odd outlier) they are going to tell you the top priorities for a team are going to be 1) franchise QB, 2) Pass rushers 3) shutdown corners and 4) O-Line (specifically LT for the QB's backside protection assuming he's right handed). This may not be in specific order of preference. I thought that was common knowledge. Pretty much Football 101.

Selecting a RB high in the draft, more times than not, isn't really good value. If you look at the top 20 RB's in 2017, six of them were first rounders and one (Mark Ingram) was a very late first rounder. Two of those guys (CJ Anderson & Crowell) were undrafted.

Saquon is a little different then your typical “best RB in the draft”. He’s a generational type talent that has no weaknesses. If you want to flip a coin on a 5th rounder, by all means. But there’s a good chance that 5th rounder won’t be on our team next year.

Tyrod, saquon, Duke, Gordon, Landry, Njoku...that offense would put up some numbers this year while our QB learns from the bench for 2020. Again, who could possibly be upset with that setup?

Wouldn't be upset, but I don't believe he is the perfect prospect he is portrayed as. Still 100% the best back in the class, gtfo with any argument that he isn't.

I don't think he's a can't miss prospect, but dude has produced on the field AND is a freak in the combine.

Mother fucker. You were right lol

Wish I wasn't. This, and the fact they couldn't land Solder, is going to likely change how they draft. One of those 5 draft choices (1st & 2nd) will now have to be burnt on a LT out of necessity, not to groom.

Best of luck to him. Definitely a first ballot HOFer and all around good guy.

#Browns great LT Joe Thomas: "This was an extremely difficult decision, but the right one for me and my family. Playing in the NFL has taken a toll on my body and I can no longer physically compete at the level I need to.”

I had a feeling that there was more to this than the tricep injury. Had heard he was having knee/back issues too. Will probably be glad to keep his weight down.

See you in Canton JT ! Sorry this fucking POS franchise couldn't have at least gotten you ONE playoff appearance.

Waste of a great career smh.

Also, I will say it again since his name was brought up.  Drafting Barkley with a top 4 pick is dumb as fuck.  You guys are getting reeled in by the hype.  Every 1.5 years there is a RB in the draft class that has the same hype and he never lives up to it.  AP is the last guy I can think of that truly lived up to that type of hype.  I am 100% with BR.  Browns are not in a position of luxury and drafting Barkley that high is doing exactly that.  Give me the other RBs ranked below him any day of the week if it means we draft a great player at a value position.

I don't know all of the history of the Hall of Fame but I'd bet he might be the only player to make the HOF without ever playing in a playoff game. If not, you can probably count them on one hand. All reverts back to my hatred of the Colts. He should've gone his rookie year (2007) but the Browns botched a few games and the Colts laid down for the Titans in week 17 bumping the Browns out of the playoffs.

This is one of the most ridiculous posts I have ever seen.....I'm not saying he is worthy of being a top 5 pick, but Barkley is most clearly the best/most complete RB in this draft.  Can block, catch out of the backfield, nice cut back moves, good power with speed and agility....reminds me of Adrian Peterson during his time at OU.

No he's not. He has ordinary vision. He's an athlete playing RB, not a RB that happens to be a great athlete. Guice and Michel are the superior RB prospects, really not even close.

Count me in on the Guice bandwagon. Won't QQ over Michel either.

As much as the Colts pissed me off, the Browns have themselves to blame.  If Derek Anderson isn't a piece of shit against a 4 win cincy team, the browns go to the playoffs.  If the Browns don't lose to a shitty Raiders team, they go to the playoffs.  Also, if the refs actually called the push out rule correctly, Winslow scores the last second TD and they beat the cardinals.

Hope JT stays with the franchise in some capacity. Although he was a player, I think he was just as big a Browns fan.
