The #Browns are signing TE Darren Fells to a 3-year deal worth $12M, source said. That will help the run game immensely.

The Bills are believed to be moving up to #3 but if that doesn't work out, would you do a deal with Buffalo to slide down to 12 & 22 (likely more)?

Just for 12 and 22?  Absolutely not.  They are going to need to include more in that package considering other teams will be bidding for that pick.  If it is not to trade down to 5 or 6, it would have to be quite the package to go down to 12/22 or wherever the cardinals are.

It would have to be quite an offer.  Their first round pick next year for starters.

Thank got for Hyde. I never truly believed Barkley was in play for 1...but it’s the Browns.

As for a trade, only down to 5/6, where you are going to get the same player regardless. No farther. Get some top 5 talent on this roster!

I think Fitzpatrick is head and shoulders above Ward.  Ward at 12 maybe if we made big deal with Buffalo, but most certainly not worth the 6th pick.

Big difference in their speed. Fitzpatrick is kind of slow for a corner. Ward has makeup speed but is kind of small.

Former Chiefs’ CB Terrance Mitchell intends to sign a 3-year, $12 million deal with the Cleveland Browns, per source.

There aren't the same position though. I'd rather have Fitz as an athlete, but Ward is the better cover corner. Fitz is a self proclaimed slot corner.

Plus I've heard Fitzpatrick might be better suited to safety than corner.

Even with all these free agent signings + the draft pool, in position to roll another $35-$40 Million+ in salary cap space into 2019. Cap space is a non issue in Cleveland

If the Browns are high on Barkley, signing Hyde for 15 mil isn't going to keep them from drafting him.

Would really suck if they did draft him. I’d absolutely hate to get a top 5 talent in our backfield who can make explosive plays for our team. The humanity!

Yeah it would suck. Top 5? LOL he's not even top RB in this class, let alone the fucking NFL.

Maybe not. But signing Hyde doesn't change anything if they want him.

With Hyde in the fold, it would be absolutely stupid to take Barkley with a top 5 pick. The top 4 priorities for any NFL are, or should be:

1) Having a franchise QB/being able to throw the football.

2) Being able to rush the QB

3) Being able to defend against the pass (DB's)

4) Being able to protect the QB (O-Line).

Having an elite RB isn't high up on the food chain. It's a nice luxury but not a necessity. This team isn't in a position to have "luxuries."

Sure, but you're going to have a franchise qb (if he pans out) whether you take Barkley or not. And that's the biggest need currently.

Qb will be the number 1 pick I don’t even think that is a question. At 4 there are so many possibilities it’s unreal. Trading back a few spots or even staying there and then trading back into the first. I would absolutely be estatic with Rosen at 1. Chubb at 4 and then trading back up for Alexander.

This is one of the most ridiculous posts I have ever seen.....I'm not saying he is worthy of being a top 5 pick, but Barkley is most clearly the best/most complete RB in this draft.  Can block, catch out of the backfield, nice cut back moves, good power with speed and agility....reminds me of Adrian Peterson during his time at OU.

No, not really. I'm not stating anything any NFL GM wouldn't say.

If you were to survey any one of them (could be an odd outlier) they are going to tell you the top priorities for a team are going to be 1) franchise QB, 2) Pass rushers 3) shutdown corners and 4) O-Line (specifically LT for the QB's backside protection assuming he's right handed). This may not be in specific order of preference. I thought that was common knowledge. Pretty much Football 101.

Selecting a RB high in the draft, more times than not, isn't really good value. If you look at the top 20 RB's in 2017, six of them were first rounders and one (Mark Ingram) was a very late first rounder. Two of those guys (CJ Anderson & Crowell) were undrafted.

One of the top running back free agents this offseason, Carlos Hyde has signed a three-year deal, worth more than $15 million with the Cleveland Browns, according to Ian Rapoport, including $6 million in the first year.

Browns draft day picture changes .... with this news  Hyde would be a great veteran addition with Duke and Crow
