It’s mind boggling that hue jackson is ONE AND THIRTY FUCKING ONE as our head coach and is getting a third year.

Well Haslam was a knee jerk fuck with hiring chud and pettine in back to back years.  He most likely doesn't want to pay 3 coaches who aren't coaching. Although I guess you can say he is already doing that with Hue, because whatever the fuck he is doing isn't coaching.

I tried to look that up, I think Chud and Petty are off the books now.  But he has paid so many in the past dead contracts, he might hesitate to do that again.  Wasting millions on a bad product.  Saving pennies to not make dollars.

If Jimmy had any decency, he’d sell this franchise right now.  He may know how to run truck stops, but he doesn’t know shit about running an NFL team.  He’s proven it in every way he can.  Most recently by letting his ego prevent him from finding a decent head, coach.  What a complete disaster.

To make it worse, the fact that he has Haslam's ear makes me think it's a real possibility that the starting QB in Game 1 of 2018 could be AJ McCarron. Uggh.

I remember we were all pretty excited when Lerner sold the team.  Haslam came in and it seemed like he really cared about winning.  I think he still does care, but he has proven that he has no idea wtf he is doing.  It's extremely frustrating that he had minority ownership in the Steelers and apparently did not pick up one good lesson from them.

Also, it is no coincidence that he is UT's biggest donor and they are a complete cluster fuck as well.

One of the questions Haslam was asked right after the season was whether he planned on selling the team. He said no. I think his biggest problem is that he's way too involved with day to day operations of the team. From what I've heard, he's frequently at practices asking questions to everyone from the coaches on down to the ball boy. I think his inquisitive nature has (perhaps) lead him to believe that he can make football decisions. He shouldn't be involved with this at all (see Manziel rumors = Jimmy wanted him and forced the issue).

Does he know how to run truck stops though (honest question)? Everything I read about his business has either “FBI” or “under investigation” connected to it.

I may be wrong on this but I think Haslam inherited Pilot Flying J from "daddy." He took the business and has grown it but, by no means, is he "self made." So he's never really had to grow a business, like the current state of the Browns, from Ground Zero. I'm not confident he can turn around a failing situation like the Browns franchise.

I think Hue stays bc Jimmy boy has expensive lawyer fees and fans aren't coming to the games anymore. That's hitting him in the pocket book and he doesn't like shelling out $30M for execs/coaches no longer working here.

Browns are going to interview Sean Ryan, the QB coach in Houston. Sounds like Ryan wants to call the plays in Houston and O’Brien won’t give up those duties.

Would be a pretty good hire from what I’m reading. He’s done a lot of good work with Watson.

I just want an OC that calls run plays and tells Hue to STFU. Ryan can do that? Great.

If the Browns could convince anyone to come in as an OC at this point it will be a small victory.

Sounds like TP will be a Brown next season.

Grass apparently is not always greener. Only played in 9 games and had 1 TD. He destroyed his value like an idiot by signing that 1 year.

You are right about the FBI. His company got busted a couple of years ago for cheating smaller carriers on their promised rebates - or something similar.

I remember that well too.  Randy Lerner was not a capable owner and at least had the decency to sell.  Jimmy came in guns a blazin and said he’d get things turned around pronto.  Like you, I thought his Steelers experience was going to be huge - he’d seen first hand how one of the best franchises in all of sports is run.

Flash forward to today and I think the only thing he has accomplished has been to haul ass to the top of the list of worst owners in sports.  If the Browns were a publicaly traded company, they’d have gone bankrupt and out of business.  Pathetic.

So Hue may want to bring in this guy, after he was fired by the Bengals after a "near mutiny" in their locker room?

"Excellent, Smithers...(eyes rolling)"

Oh sweet Jesus, NO!

The bengals didn’t score a fucking point with him as OC. He gets fired and they immediately start scoring points.

If Hue hires him, he’s straight trolling Cleveland.

Seems like Hue loves the Bengals guys he had success with. Doesn't mean it's a good idea now, though.

Anytime you can hire a guy that was fired after 2 games for failing to score a single point, you gotta do it.

I mentioned it earlier, and I'll call my shot now (not really a stretch or a major prediction), but if AJ McCarron hits the open market, he'll be the Browns starter in week 1.

Fuck Hue for even considering Zampese. Fuck Haslam for allowing this to happen.
