No doubt; I just find it funny when fans of one team basically take the "It's cool for us to rip on you, but if you rip on us, we're NOT GONNA TAKE IT!!!!" form of banter/trash talk.

I really don't care if a Steeler fan rips on the Browns for having a turd on the team. Just do it in the general NFL forum thread. If a Browns player slips up, I'm sure we'll be the first to mention it on this thread. As soon as our dearly departed Josh Gordon shit down his leg, we were always the first to post it on here. Steelers have been basking the AFC North limelight for years, we get it...we don't need our teams ineptness rubbed in our faces by opposing fans, on our own thread.

Bruce Arians said the only job he would consider is Cleveland.  Bruce threw out Pagano as someone he would consider if he was in Dorsey's shoes.

lol no thanks. Dude is almost 70 yrs old and has been out of the NFL for a while. I forget when exactly he was fired, but I'm hoping we hire someone that is half his age.

Arians didn’t get fired he retired last year. I would definitely be cool with arians with Pagano as the defensive coordinator

Arians first 4 years were highly impressive ....43-17

59-32-1 overall

What about 2 years of Arians and an up and comer on staff to take over in 2-3 years?

Arians wouldn't be the worst hire, but Id much prefer a younger guy that gets along with Dorsey. I want a guy where those two work well together, I could see Arians ego getting in the way.

Yes.

Kelce, mahomes, Hill, Hunt. All his picks. And he brought on Andy Reid.

He knows what he’s doing.

I would say cautiously yes. However, his FA class and draft has some SERIOUS red flags. How much of that is due to dysfunction with Hue Jackson? I'm willing to give him a wait and see pass.

However, not signing better WRs, giving away Gordon for a bag of beans, trading a 3rd round pick for TT, drafting Corbett & Chad Thomas instead of better players can't just be swept under the rug. Those all have to be noted as critical failures.

Top of this year's 3rd round. Who doesn't fit?

65. B. Parker, starter

66. L. Carter, 2 sacks lead Giants

67. C. Thomas, 22 snaps.

68. J. Reid, starter

69. BJ Hill, starter

70. F. Warner, starter

71. R. Freeman, starter

72. N. Shepherd, 4 starts

73. J. Baker, starter

A GM, even the best one, is going to make some mistakes. You can’t expect him to make 100% correct decisions. He’s going to draft busts, make poor trades, sign questionable FA’s, etc.

Youre the guy saying the patriots had a bad draft the year they drafted Brady because their 3rd round pick never panned out. Lol

Count me in on Dorsey too. My only concern could be cap management which seems to be the previous knock on him. My other concern is the obvious, Haslam.

Not saying Haslam will 100% butt in but the asshole should practice what he preaches. When he sold his ownership with the Steelers he said he wanted to "model the Browns like what he learned in Pittsburgh" or something to that effect. Since he's been here he's done the complete opposite. Now do I want them to become the Steelers West? No but there is something to be said about letting football men run football teams. Quit playing armchair GM and let Dorsey do what you're paying him for.

They need Schobert back. That overachiever is the straw that stirs the drink on that defense.

Ive only watched 3 of the Browns games but Kirksey was one of the best players on the team.

Not so much this year, imo. He's been really good in the past but has fallen off this year. Schobert's been their best guy. The whole linebacking corps needs an overhaul with the exception of Schobert. They could bury Jamie Collins in a huge hole, walk away and forget about his pay check collecting ass for all I care.

Kirksey is a leader on the defense though. Really on the team. He may have lost a step this year (not sure if that’s true or not, I haven’t noticed it), but he does a lot more for this team than just on the field performance.
