Is it that they can’t discipline, or just never have?

It sounds like the punishment has to be dealt with by the team, if it happened in practice. By that stupid logic, apparently Roethlisberger & Watson should've waited until practice to commit their transgressions so their respective teams would have to deal with it (eye roll).

It does sound like there's a lot of outcry for the league to do something about Donald, except for ESPN, because it's "part of the game."

It's just more arbitrary bullshit from Goodell.

Just realized the Seattle QB competition was Geno Smith and Drew Lock. That's a "say you're tanking without saying you're tanking" sort of thing that makes me think they're not gonna be talking about their 12th man advantage this season.

After last season, and at his age, can Pete Carroll afford to tank a year?

The 49ers are keeping Garoppolo for the year? And with the no trade clause?

Also can't franchise him after the year's over. Smart move on their part. If Lance busts, they are ready to win.

I don't know if he can afford to, but if Geno Smith is the #1 and Drew Lock is the #2, I can't imagine that he'll have much of a choice in things unless they happen to have the best D and running game in the league. I'd say comparable to Baltimore when they won it all with Dilfer, but honestly, Smith/Lock make NFL Dilfer look like NCAA Dilfer.

Oh, there's no question they're gonna suck. Kind of think they were banking on snagging Jimmy G when he became available this year. Oops...

Were their names really in the mix as far as actually making offers (as opposed to "they have to be, don't they?" speculation) for any of the guys who were considered to be moving. Jimmy G and Baker would both be noticeable upgrades over what they are going with, but they didn't get either and I don't recall hearing that they even really tried. That's what makes me wonder if they're tanking. I mean, I read that Baker thought he'd wind up there and a conditional fifth isn't exactly the highest bar to clear, so...
