Will the US go under quarantine?

SC closed schools starting today. Today the local mayors also said no gatherings over 50 people. People still going to bars and restaurants though. I do think a lot of restaurants will switch to take out only soon. Our daycare is still open. I’m only aware of one person in our area that tested positive and they had just returned from Italy.

Crazy that they have no confirmed cases.

Well when you’ve only tested 40 people

Inbreeds.

No voting in Ohio tomorrow. DeWine is having them ordered closed as a medical emergency. Apparently a work-around that is legal.

PA was the first to close liquor stores.

That is a bad move.  #Belly's thread about backlash

Also, my grandkids live at Fort Bragg NC and they had school today.

My guess is that small pockets will end up locking down.  These big cities where people are still messing around with public gatherings will cause the problem.  Small towns in Ohio will be fine

New Jersey just implemented a 8pm-5am curfew. Don't like that.

It's coming here very soon.  Local sheriff's departments are training as we speak on how to enforce.  That is no joke.

I honestly believe we are within a week of complete Martial Law.

You guessing or does your wife's co-worker's brother's cousin's co-worker's nanny know something concrete?

If you’re going to make these predictions throw out a link or source to it.

Not buying it....nationally.

I do believe NYC will be shelter in place in the next 48 hours, maybe less.

Sorry. I didn’t know we needed much more. My thoughts have no evidence or links. I’ll try to follow the rules better.

I don’t need a source to make a prediction.

It's going to be hard to get people to follow it. San Francisco went "Shelter in Place," and it was mostly ignored.

Just saw on the local news that bars in Ohio flaunting the shutdown are getting their licenses yanked.

I don't know if liquor licenses are transferable, but it's not hard to imagine some places are going out of business, anyway, if they shutdown.

I have no idea how many people work in retail, restaurants/bars, hotel and airline, but only the big corporations could afford to pay people.  If this goes on for months, that has to be more people missing a paycheck then at the bottom of the Great Recession.

When you think about the potential losses, $1T in stimulus will barely scratch the surface.  This is much worse - those businesses have no income, at all, to even cover rent/mortgage, insurance and utilities.
