I’m on Season 9 of Married With Children.

#willing/to/discuss/show

NIIIIICCCCCEEEEE!!!!!

I actually started that a few years ago, lasted about 3 episodes and no reason I stopped just life.  THAT would be a really good call, because TBH I don't think I've seen every episode (compared to Seinfeld, where I've probably seen every show at least 4 times).

I've been wanting to watch The Shield again.  Had started a Sopranos rewatch, also, but didn't stick with it long.

Just finished season two of Ted Lasso. Nice little twist at the end.

Curb Your Enthusiasm is hilariously awesome, imo.

My wife and I are coming up to the end of the ER episodes.

Wife and I started watching suits a couple weeks ago. Really loved the show until season 6. I have no clue why the showrunners made the decisons they did in that season.

I love Suits, but agreed, it was almost like they wanted to really change the nature of the show because they ran out of ideas or something.

Currently watching Arrested Development (Netflix) and The Morning Show and Invasion on AppleTV. I’m only on episode three of Invasion so not sold yet.

I havent watched, but I find almost any show -- detective shows with a new case have more wiggle room -- almost always trail off after S3 or 4. They should never go past S5 without source material to pull from. Just the nature of a show writer to have a great idea, and even have some branches to it for a decent chunk of episodes and an ending. But when its making money, studios tell them to string it out, and then it inevitably trails off. No one can keep the same characters interesting that long.

Also, got thru first two Eps of Silo last night. REally interesting concept/pilot (almost a double pilot episode with the main characters shifting after the actual pilot). I am intrgued and will watch at least this season, as it has been renewed already for S2.

Maybe that’s why Grey’s Anatomy was constantly killing doctors.

Being a doctor at that hospital was more dangerous than the trenches in WW2.

Silo is great. I read the trilogy years ago and really enjoyed it. The show did not disappoint.

Invasion is good, but it's less sci-fi (like I originally thought) and more about the human experience of going thru the experience.

My manager is a big sci-fi nerd as well and he highly recommends Foundation on Apple. I haven't watched yet because I want to dedicate a weekend to binge it all.

Did you ever watch ER? They had a doctor lose his arm in a helicopter accident, and then in a later season get crushed by a different helicopter.

I did, but the number of doctors killed/maimed in ER compared to Grey’s Anatomy is like comparing the Ohio/Michigan war to the Civil War in terms of deaths.

I kind of had to decide between Invasion and Foundation and went with the former but Foundation might be next.

Watching a show called Patriot on Prime. Pretty entertaining, mainly because I'm a fan of dark humor and this show can get pretty dark with the humor.

Did you end up enjoying that Winnie the Pooh horror movie? It’s available to stream somewhere, Prime maybe? I watched a trailer for it again the other night and it looks so fucking bizarre.

Also, I’m all for turning kids shows into horror movies. Paw Patrol, where the dogs go nuts and massacre the townspeople? Let’s go.

Winnie the Pooh was actually late to the game. One of the lesser known shows from a few decades ago, The Banana Splits Gang, was made into a horror movie a few years ago.

As for Blood and Honey, I enjoyed it, but that probably should be graded on a curve due to how I love low-level horror stuff far more than is healthy. It's basically a B backwoods slasher with bad acting and two Pooh characters doing the killing. Watched it with a friend in the theater and we made sure we had a good buzz going in (and a flask for it) and had fun, but if you're looking for anything resembling sophisticated cinema, you likely won't get all that much out of it since it's a kinda generic slasher that doesn't even go all out with tits or gore. But I thought it was entertaining dumb fun.

Just watched the episode of Curb where Larry's friend killed himself because of the Jets. LMFAO.

Not sure if I like Curb better than Seinfeld, but it's REALLY close.  Definitely scratches that itch.

Speaking of which, Jerry teased a reunion show not that long ago.  Thought one source said it might be more substantial than just a 2-hr special (perhaps a 8-10 show arc?).

But I don't know.  Jerry is almost 70, and Jason Alexander looks completely different.  Not sure I'm interested in their take on "Golden Girls".

Agreed.  And, for me, Suits definitely fell way off after the first 2-3 seasons.  I think what ultimately kills those shows is the slow but steady advance and evolving of the characters to the point the dynamic that made the show great initially is totally gone.

A lot of the more successful sitcoms don't really do that with the dynamics a lot more static.  The "real time" of the series, ignoring aging of actors, could just as easily be only months as opposed to a decade.

Binged Fallout (Prime Video) this weekend.  Easily in the top-5 post-apocalypse shows.  Like Westworld meets Walking Dead, only 10X better than either.

While I suggest you avoid any and all spoilers looking up reviews, I'll just say Walton Goggins KILLS everything he's in.  Definitely one of the best television actors in our lifetime.
