Episode 1 was a great pilot. Episode 2 was edge of my seat I forgot to breath a few times -- and nothing really happened until the last 15 min. Episode 3 was legitimately one of the best episodes of television in the last 5 years. And it was a freaking one-off. They are setting the bar EXTREMELY high, and I love it.

I’m surprised you made it through episode three lol

No groomers or teachers were involved so probably was acceptable.

The Last of Us has been awesome.

I've enjoyed Poker Face on Peacock recently too.

I watched Copenhagen Cowboy last month and it is very much like Too Old to Die Young. Very slow pacing and strange. But visually very cool.

The Last of Us is next on my list.

I am almost done with Smallville (no idea how I never watched this when it was on TV, once you can get past the 10+ year old Sci-Fi its the best comic TV series ever).

Watched the pilot for The Ark last night, if you are a must watch sci fi geek like me you will like it. I was disappointed in the special effects (a few of them look like I did them on my laptop, not professionals). The story has promise, but I hope they don't go with the typical "crisis to next crisis" trope we get in a lot of space sci fi series (Another Life, Star Gate Universe, The 100, Lost In Space [new one]).

It was fine in the first episode since they all got "rudely" woken up, but I'd like for it to have a story arc rather than just always in crisis mode, like The Expanse, Stargate SG-1/Atlantis, etc.

FYI, the creators were the ones that worked on the original Stargate movie and worked on Stargate SG-1 series.

But without the "monster of the week" trope, doesn't it kind of just become a daytime soap?

I get that maybe you want more complex storylines, but it also kind of sucks to have multiple cliff hangers every week.  That's one big advantage of dropping entire seasons at once on streaming.

Got through the six episodes that make up the first season of The Rig.

For a show that I had heard was marketed as a combination of The Terror (show that I liked, at least the first season -- with the second one a completely unrelated story, I wasn't overly interested in the concept of watching it) and The Thing (IMO, the GOAT of horror films), it was amazingly underwhelming. Not even the presence of Jorah Mormont, Alliser Thorne and King Robert Baratheon could make things consistently interesting, let alone entertaining.

Hasnt this largely been proven incorrect? Succession, Game of Thrones, Breaking Bad, Euphoria, Ted Lasso, Severance, True Detective, etc. The best shows have consistently gone away from that model, and it has helped. As a viewer, I have enjoyed it MUCH more -- its a complete 180 from what I thought when House of Cards came out.

The ones that are still dropping all at once can be good, but more forgettable. Legit forget more because you dont dissect an entire episode at a time and get overwhelmed, but also I think its hurt the quality. Stranger Things, Narcos, The Crown, Handmaids Tale (I think this was a single drop?)

Handmaid's Tale is a weekly drop.

ZeroZeroZero -- very good Prime mini-series about a massive cocaine deal involving an American family with a shipping business handling the transportation between a Mexican cartel and the Italian mafia with all sorts of unexpected issues cropping up. Many of them the result of the Italian don's grandson shooting his shot to execute a takeover of the family.

Andor was amazing. Mandalorian so far has been meh -- but The Pirate was awesome.

Ehhhh, I enjoyed this season of the Mandalorian.  Although not that you mention it, not as good as the first two seasons.

The one thing that I didn't get is did Groku just drop out of training? Spring break? Clearly stronger with the force, but also clearly not a Jedi.

Barry is as crazy as ever.  But not sure I like where they've taken NoHo Hank's character

Interesting.  Never really got into any of the Star Trek's beyond the original.  But the showrunner that took over Picard (S2, I think) is the creator of 12 Monkeys.  So that's really interesting that you thought the ending was great, because IMO the writing on 12 Monkeys is as close as any show comes to perfection.

So was already planning to check out his next project.  I think he has a few, and definitely looking extra forward to it now.

If you haven’t watched Star Trek the next generation it might not be as good for you but they bring back all the old charach

Started watching Silo on Apple TV+ yesterday and it's very good. I read the book trilogy a while ago and really liked it, so I was excited when I learned there was a show coming out.

Plowing thru rewatching the Mission: Impossible movies before the 7th later this month. 1 still holds up. 2 is by far the worst, but passable. Probably take down 3 tomorrow. Then the rest next week.

Is there any question this has become the greatest action franchise, probably ever? Legit 6/6 awesome movies. Maybe argument for 2 being bad, but that would be harsh. And from all accounts, Dead Reckoning is going to kick ass.

Finished Ted Lasso the other day. Great show of course.

Jumped into Platonic and The Crowded Room on AppleTV and so far really like them both.

I'm on episode 2 of Ted Lasso. I like it.

Apple actually has a decent number of shows I want to check out.

Succession and Ted Lasso are on my watchlist.  Justified and Shameless, along with maybe Sons of Anarchy, are next.

I feel like I've never had less tv programs I care about.  A lot of great shows have wrapped in recent years.  Hard-pressed to come up with a single show I look forward to weekly.  Maybe Resident Alien when it returns, but the 2nd season fell off an excellent first quite a bit.

I'm not sure i have a single program I really look forward to on a weekly basis. Not a single current show, I don't think, I could even give a strong recommendation to.  Rings of Power and The Mandalorian might be it.
