For those that like/want a combination of Star Trek mixed with a little time travel/alternate universe with the dark side of an Altered Carbon...

Dark Matter on Netflix. It was on SciFi or something years ago but I never saw it until Netflix, I highly recommend it for the SciFi fans out there.

It was a really good show that got cut off early with only 3 seasons.

If you like Altered Carbon and 12 Monkeys...give Dark Matter a try, it has a little bit of both of those but in space.

Ehhhh, Dark Matter was just OK for me.  Probably not a show I'd recommend.

I was excited when I saw Dark Matter was a tv show, until I realized it wasn't based off the book Dark Matter by Blake Crouch. That book was awesome.

Halfway through Season 3 now.

It actually aired over 3 nights and was intended as sort of a movie trilogy.  IMO, it would hold its own with the best seasons of any other series.  And Season 4 is almost just as good (although S4 would definitely be mentally exhausting to try and binge!).  LOL, as for not being able to binge it, then prepare yourself because the pace in S4 kind of...picks up.

I'm two episodes into The Spy. I don't hate it, but it's a bit slow. Worth sticking with it?

Newsflash:  Gut likes the show 12 Monkeys.

Even though gut sucks the 12 Monkeys proverbial Weiner, it's a pretty good show. I really enjoyed it.

Showrunner has an idea for a sequel with the same characters

Does Dark Matter have any sort of ending since it was cut off? Cant stand watching shows that ended up getting cancelled with cliff hanger endings.

Ends on a cliffhanger...

Still some talks of finishing it in a streaming movie or a 4th season like they did with Firefly (Serenity) when it was abruptly canceled.

Just starting season 10 of Shameless. This show has went downhill. Debbie gets more annoying with every season.

Halfway through season 2 of Altered Carbon. It is fine. It has its moments so far. I enjoyed season 1 a little more.

Wife and I just finished rewatching Burn Notice.

Man, they ended that show really well.  I didn't remember the whole thing being as good as we thought it was the second time around.

Finished Season 2 of Altered Carbon. I was disappointed. It was fine, just not even close to season 1 to me. The story was just meh and while it had its moments, it could be so much better.

I loved that show. I think it is a good take on a detective/ noir show. I have the 3rd season queued up next.

I watched the Spy over the weekend. It does start slow, but it is really good if you like real life spy thrillers.  Sacha Baron Cohen is awesome in the story.

The wife and I also watched Ugly Delicious over the weekend. We really enjoyed it.

Westworld returned last night and was good.

Caught up on Star Trek: Picard over the weekend. I actually like it, almost a different genre than Star Trek: Discovery.

Discovery is almost all action while Picard is a little action thrown into a political drama.

Picard also puts the nostalgia of seeing quite a few characters from our "childhood". Got to see a little Riker/Troi, Seven of Nine has been in a few episodes, even a few obscure characters (only in a couple episodes of TNG or Voyager) like Hugh and Icheb are in there.

I definitely like Picard way better than Discovery, and Discovery isn't bad at all.

Saw SPY 2-3 weeks ago. Agree, Cohen was outstanding.

Funny, just finished Season 3 of Babylon Berlin then fired up Season 1 of Westworld.

Agreed, I think Season 1 was great, Season 2 was ok to good at best. Supposedly season 3 has already been green-lighted so they better make it better than Season 2.

I'm wondering if the current state of affairs would make people shit themselves if they watched "The Last Ship".

I enjoyed it, thought it was decent.
