Finished the final season of The Man In The High Castle  10/10 they really wrapped it up nicely.

Finished Jack Ryan Season 2 9/10  great show.

I still need to try to get through Season 3.

Just finished. S2 > S1 imo. Got away from the cliche terrorist plot, and it seemed better and well thought out to me. I liked the conflict angle of this season,

I finished it today. Meh, 7/10. The way season 1 ended with him getting the offer to head to Russia, that is where I thought this season would play out with all the spycraft. Instead it was like a redux of Clear and Present Danger, but they just combined John Clark's character with Ryan's.

It was a fine season, but the last two episodes were so far unrealistic, I was out. Jack Ryan is not Jason Bourne, he is a spy and a bureaucrat. Some of the best things about books and the movies was the interplay of the different parts of the high levels of the CIA. We got none of that this season.

Hopefully, it turns into more of a spy show instead of just another special ops shootem up show.

I'll start Man in the High Castle next week. I finished season 2 of Peaky Blinders and love it.

Finished Season 2 of Man in the High Castle. Love it. This became John Smith's show and I loved how they focused on his struggle and his family. The scenes in the train car with his wife were brutal as they had to face with all their past history. The rest of the stories were fine, but the show was great when it focused on John and Helen's story.

I've enjoyed the Mandalorian so far.  Much darker and violent than I expected - pretty consistent with the movies in that regard, but not what I expected coming out of the Disney network.

Pedro Pascal deserves at least an emmy nomination for his work.  The fact it's so good with him dominating screen time tells you how excellent he's been - and we've not even seen his face.  He's really outstanding.

I’m 99% sure he just read lines in a sound booth.

And they need to introduce a plot. Star Wars geeks will watch regardless, but episodic vs serialized will lose casual fans real quick.

I guess that would make sense, but most of what I quickly googled seems to indicate, yes, he's actually wearing the armor.  Also, not a voice-only credit and no one else is credited as The Mandalorian.  I could be way off base, but it seems to me it's a lot tougher to act wearing a mask.

As for serial vs. episodic, episodic with 5-10 minutes of an overarching plot/mystery is a pretty popular and successful formula.  I can see they might lose viewers because they haven't revealed enough of that larger plot, but we still have 1 episode left.

Watched a few episodes of The Witcher. Really like it so far. Gives me a GoT vibe, lots of stuff going on, need to always be paying attention or you'll get a bit lost.

I love Mando. The last episode was probably the best one so far. But, to me it is like a Western. Sure, there is an overarching story, but it is a new adventure show each episode and I'm good with that if it means we get to explore more of the Star Wars galaxy.

I think he acted it out, but he speaks too clearly to be speaking while acting. I’d assume he acts and then voices over his lines. A lot of them seem that way also, as the delivery and sound don’t quite match the action of the character.

Not saying he doesn’t deserve credit, just wanted to point it out.

That's one I want to get to sometime, if for no other reason than that I've played all three games. Well, technically, I'm still playing the 3rd, as I haven't gotten through its two expansions yet. But the world did seem to be that sort of grimdark medieval place where everyone is a scheming asshole, which is what I liked most about GoT, particularly in its earlier seasons.

After the NFL season is over I am getting rid of cable and researching the diff options.  There really are zero shows that I watch that are in current production.   The Disney plus with Hulu and ESPN looks promising and inexpensive.

Tried to get spectrum to lower their price but after many transfers just was not happening.

I have Spotify premium which, for some reason, includes free Hulu (the ad supported version).  Not a bad deal, at all, for $10 a month.

That makes sense.  I haven't noticed it with other actors.  I wonder if he actually delivers the line so his co-actors can get their cues, and then they remove his voice digitally and re-record it in a studio.

There's a rumor or screengrab of him without his helmet.  Without risking a spoiler, I think we can all guess at what will probably be the most predictable "how to" in cinema.  OK, I'll just say it, anyway - Baby Yoda is going to choke you out if you don't remove the helmet.

Interesting.  I dont know much about hulu and will look more into this in January.  I just cannot justify paying what I do when in reality the ONLY thing I make sure i watch each week is the NFL.

With nothing on TV on Christmas evening I saw the iheartradio Christmas concert/show and tuned to it twice.

It is what I imagine watching an abortion would be like.

Man, was it AWFUL.

Love that show. Somehow hasn’t gotten stale after all these seasons.

Currently watching Jack Ryan S2 and I feel like it has a lot of plot holes. The pacing is very weird, sometimes rushed and sometimes dragging on way too much. I still enjoy it, though.

Recently finished Handmaid's Tale (to date); it's slow but has exciting episodes frequently enough that it keeps me going.

Finished Miss Maisel S2 last night. Season 1 really wasn't for me, but Abe and Susie both have incredible comedic chops through the first 6-7 episodes of S2.

Not sure what to binge when we finish Maisel and Jack Ryan, probably by next weekend.

HDMI cable from your computer to your TV.  Done.

And if for some reason you don't have a computer, I believe it can be done some phones and tablets, also, but not sure what adapters and cables you need.

Yeah, and they are (imo) better than a smart TV. You can’t move a TV easily, but can carry your roku anywhere in house/vacation/travel etc and get your services.
