That was a bad series vs the Tigers, but came away with a 2-2 split. Lost games to Twins and Sox though.
At least we have Bieber lined up for the opener vs CHW.

Pretty rare when a team strikes out the side, then proceeds to give up six runs in the same half inning.

With like 1 hard hit ball the whole inning and a 4th K to end it. LOL
Guardians with a 4 game lead on the 25th of August. Wow.
Hope you didn't jinx them :)
A baseball first for me. Went to a minor league game, 3 man umpiring crew..........HP, 3B, and 1B. Early in the game the RF uncorked a throw towards home and it hit the 1B ump (who was positioned near the cut of the grass) right in the head. He went down pretty hard. He was attended to, and eventually was able to walk off on his own.
Guards just taking the souls of the AL Central contenders the last 7 days. Killed the Twins, and not stopping in Chicago. All but have the division wrapped up 3 outs from now.
What a wild ride. Feels like 1997…

What's real comical about this is about a week and a half ago the Chicago media was interviewing Elvis Andrus. Andrus said "up until now, everything has gone 'just right' for the Guardians, until recently (first sign he's a dumbass as I believe the Guardians were on a 6-7 game winning streak before Chicago came in for a makeup day game and crushed them). We expect them to 'crumble' down the stretch."
After that one off makeup game loss I'm not sure Cleveland has lost (or have lost a couple) while the Sox/Twins have been "crumbling."
'crumbling' = 29 runs in last 3 games

It's good to have faith, even if you have to talk yourself into another teams demise for hope.
It's just hilarious becasue the Sox had to have gone the furthest in a season, with a negative run differential and winning record, than any other team in history lol. Talk about things going "just right".
Guardians to the Sox and Twins…

Pretty much how you close out a division race.

Browns could learn a thing or two from these guys.

Browns don't have a Tito type personality in charge. Nothing against Stefanski, he's a good guy. But Tito is like playing for a legendary coach and knows instinctively how to deal with different team chemistries. Baseball is a different animal of course, but I think Tito's one of the best in my lifetime.

Up there with Danny Murtaugh

I would take a game, before we even talk about division.
Clinch it today !

And did they!
They went into September with a 5 game losing streak, then went on an 18-3 tear.
I also heard that it’s a record that a team won their division with 16 players making their MLB debut during the season.

Yeah, Tito should be AL Manager of the Year just for that last part.
Was driving home later last night listening to the White Sox post game (out of range for AM 1100) and their fans were calling in saying "what this team lacks is 'baseball players." The host went on agreeing, saying the Tribe was loaded with baseball players, with high motors, that would run through walls.
On a side note, I called the Kwan GS today, lol. When he kept fighting in the count I said "this crazy contact hitter's gonna yank one here."
Not to end the season before the playoffs even start, but good gracious the Guardians have some tough, tough choices to make this offseason. Maybe for the first time in ever.
Announcers said the team is actually younger than their AAA team. Wow
I just want to point out that we wasted 2.5 months (and THEN BROUGHT HIM BACK FOR A BIT) on Oscar Mercado when we had guys like Oscar Gonzalez, Will Benson, etc sitting in the minors.
It all worked out, and everytime I question Tito losing it, he pulls a season like this. Also, Tito has stopped bunting, and its the most glorious thing that has ever happened.
Central Division Champions!!
GO GUARDIANS!!

I screenshot this one. Seems like a definite back at you jinx.
Guardians win 2-1 with Trevor Stephan doing his best Joe Borowski impersonation for the save. He walked the bases loaded before getting the final out.
