i don't know where you got that idea because i don't think i've commented on a steelers game, ever. i honestly cant even remember the last time i watched an nfl game until today.

i typed a reason when i negged you. i tried to go back and re-read if it actually committed the reason for negging and it un-negged you, so you're welcome.
it was something along the lines of "they beat the bears. calm down".
i stand by my remark. that wasn't an impressive victory. flacco looked like trash most of the game, the bears just sucked worse.

Browns were fortunate than when it hit his foot he kicked it right into the arms of a defender and not up in the air for a jump ball.

I must have missed where BRF, or anyone, said that was an "impressive" victory. As Browns fans, I think most of us were just hoping to get out of there with a win...didn't care if it was 3-2, as long as they won. Considering they are on their 4th QB and almost 30% of their payroll is injured, or on IR, I'll take the "trash."

It worked out, so we will take it, but I'd prefer to rush 4 in a hail Mary situation. It's a much harder throw if QB can't set his feet.
Win, lose or draw, this has been a very special season and Browns fans should savor ever minute of it.
This team has faced obstacle after obstacle but has fought & clawed their way to victories that teams in the past would've just lied down for, and taken the "L."
For all of his criticism, Stefanski deserves a contract extension, along with his staff. I do get the feeling that Bubba Ventrone will be a hot commodity on the head coaching market. He and Schwartz, along with Callahan, have done phenomenal jobs.
And LOL over butthurt Monty...negging comment

I'll take that win no matter the circumstances unless a team gets a bump in the standings by winning "impressively".

Yep. Don't care if they win like the Vikings did over the Raiders as long as it moves them along. People forget about the ugly victories after a few games.

The Steelers had 7 ugly victories just this year….I haven’t forgotten.
But only the “W” matters….there’s no BCS here

Exactly. I just want them to get in. Playoffs aren't exactly the norm in these parts and with the AFC the way it's going, I think they can beat anyone. The Bills would be a concern with the way they're playing. Chiefs, Rats, Jags/Texans/Colts? Nope. Think they can beat them all.

7-1 at home, 2-4 on road….how important is it to catch the Ravens?

If their defense continues to play well, I don't care if they catch them. Just want to get in and see what happens.
This is high praise, coming from Cowher, considering how much he slobbers over TJ Watt on a weekly basis...
The Bears received zero holding penalties yesterday. And now here's a 47-second video montage of the Bears holding Myles Garrett set to the timeless classic "Hold On" by Wilson Phillips. I legit had SB aspirations when Watson was healthy in preseason. Chubb went down, and I overreacted to a RB value (Chubb has tremendous value, but not 3 wins vs 11 wins). But then the defense was even better than I imagined (which I thought would be top-5 in NFL so I again thought it was possible. When Watson got hurt, I completely shifted my focus to make the playoffs and continue to build the culture. 2 plays appearances in 4 years under Stefanski is building on something, its building continuity, its building a theme / style for the team.
Make the playoffs, at all costs. I do not care if they get blown out or lose a close one, ultimately. Just get in and build on that. Come back healthier next year, have a solid offseason, see what happens.

Pretty much my thought process. My biggest concern is that Watson will never be "right", both mentally & physically, ever again. I've heard recovery from his surgery can be dicey and there's no guarantee he'll fully recover.
If he does come back healthy, they have a short window to get a ring as I don't see him, or the team, taking on a second contract.
Multiple teams inquired about Joe Flacco last week, when he was technically a free agent. But Flacco had no interest in leaving the Browns. https://t.co/FRsGyXT0lq

You don’t care to go 11-6 get in and lose first round to the Texans 37-10?
