Biden was elected to the US Senate in 1972 the same year I was born.  He feels the need to project hardships.  Trump on the other hand is confused by his recolction of  watching "Gods and Generals" Longstreet did not want to fight uphill and Picket fell off his horse and got back up wondering what happened to "his boys" and Lee failed. 

He kind of had Robert E. Lee confused with an Irish pirate “Don’t fight uphill me boys.”

If I were managing Trump, I would strongly encourage him to stay away from historical subjects or most world events.  His knowledge of both is about as deep as a puddle.

Biden spending a lifetime chasing power in DC and going for this blue collar up-from-the-people thing is pathetic.  He should be working on a 50 piece puzzle in the day room.

Respectfully disagree.  He had Lee confused with Longstreet and the "my" "me" confusion with Pickets quote from the movie was from the Irish sergeant on the Union side.

Well, as this election cycle has repeatedly shown, really old people do get random shit confused all the time.

Well, to be fair, people have been conditioned to welcome mental illness in favor of embracing diversity. Social media has made it a social contagion. Not sure if that can be rolled back in any meaningful way at this point.

It's why we don't have enough (or in some areas, none) mental institutions to begin with. Long ago the idea caught fire to just prescribe & forget in an effort to normalize mental illness. 

Interestingly enough, that started being implemented right before the rise, and spike, of mass shootings. It was an overreaction to, at the time, of the deplorable practices and low funding of insane asylums.

The majority of the medical profession who advocated for the new practice of just scribing every mental patient came to regret it in hindsight. The ones still alive are ignored and sometimes shunned. 

We've seen something very familiar in the reactions to covid. It was over-reaction. Look at how doctors were censored and banned for even talking about medicines outside of big pharma's realm.

So I guess Trump was invited to the LP convention and he accepted. Not sure wtf they were thinking to invite him, though. My guess is that a lot of people will think that the LP is selling out. 

For myself, I would lean into their ideology much much more if they could nail down a better consensus amongst themselves. In fact, I would bet that a lot of people would jump ship out of the duopoly if the LP could manage to do that. But since they haven't progressed that much in this particular area people are unsure and largely ignorant. 

Perhaps the organizers are trying to expand their ideas using Trump as a free billboard. Perhaps they are trying to attract the politically homeless. Who the hell knows. 

But we can all probably agree that the corporate medias are most likely to organize with each other to relentlessly focus and attack the LP, which would put it further into shambles.

Or maybe I'm completely wrong and this move will have the opposite effect.

So it has come out that the FBI not only staged evidence of classified documents from mar a lago, but it was also manipulated.  Jack Smithsaid he doesn't know how or why or who, but he admitted that he lied to the FISA for this to happen.

As if anyone on the left cares or will report about it. 

Totally looking forward to the potential Biden-Trump debates. Good chance it will be the least coherent debate in the history of debating, but regardless of how moronic and out of it both guys act, their groupies will act like their guy ran circles around the other and showed true leadership and whatever.

I like a few things about the proposed setup like the turning off of mics when time is up and no studio audience. What I don't like is Biden's only wanting corporate media there that he knows will give him a favorable portrayal. 

Although it will never happen it would be nice to see CNN, FOX and some independent media televising it. Also a purely independent fact checker with no ties to a political party would be nice. It would also be nice if all notes and teleprompters were banned so people can sketch for themselves just how much mental acuity each man can present.

They should care about it because that is an easily turned table. 

Unfortunately we have watched a two tier justice system at play for a number of years now. Hillary Clinton and Joe Biden are allowed to do a thing and not have anything come of it. Trump does the same thing and gets prosecuted for it with staged and manipulated "evidence". 

So Cohen has admitted to stealing 30k from the Trump org.

The NY prosecutor is 1.) trying to throw this trial 2.) knows the trial is a foregone conclusion, no matter what because it's already messing with Trump's campaign 3.) is one of the most incompetent prosecutors of all time.

I don't know which is my pick!
