That's 3 from WCAL moving on to week 12! And our league was said to be so mediocre this year....NOT. :-)
I hereby eat my words......Congrats to all 3 teams.

got back from WR a little while ago and just had to say I can't recall a team coming out as sharp as Hillsdale tonight - 2 successful onside kicks in a row had WR on its heels from the start. Hillsdale backs were getting to the corner virtually untouched all night, defense created 5 TOs - except for allowing a TD, Falcons played a perfect first half. A lot like Orrville jumped Genoa last season.

not to mention Dalton running by Wynford Fri. and the Bobcats coming back from 20-7 down on the road. very impressive

Great weekend for Wayne county football!!!

As opposed to 1:30 am in the morning? ;-)

BRF tip of the hat to Dalton, Norwayne and Hillsdale....in descending order.

BTW, where's my pal Mr. Miyagi? I want to be entertained.

may the FOOTBALL Gods be with us all this week, especially the Bobcats getting Ursline.
Counting on some damn good FOOTBALL this week!!

    GO BULLDOGS

I don't believe the WCAL allstar team could beat one of the 2 Youngstown all star teams, the WCAL just doesn't have as big an area to draw from :(

Since Hillsdale is in Ashland county, they need more timely direction than Wayne countians :)

He's gunna come out of the woodwork BRF...he usually doesn't post unless his name is brought up.

The Ashland Arrows sure didn't need much timely direction while they were laying a beatdown on the Riders.

Also, I must have missed the post where one of us poor WCAL chumps said our all star team could beat a Youngstown all star team. Where did that come from?
  • OQB
Yes they kicked our A$$....we moved on, and are now playing in week 12.

FYI: Going 10-0 isn't really a high priority in Orrville...of course it's a goal, but we know our schedule is brutal and we are battle tested going into the playoffs. All of Orrville would rather go 7-3 and go the the regional final, than go 10-0 and lose in the first round. If we wanted to go 10-0 every single year we could, just change the schedule...I personally like taking our chances against the big school, even if we do get it handed to us....we are better for it.

Good luck this week Bulldogs, Bobcats, and Falcons!

Misinterpretation...... I was just saying that I don't think the WCAL could field an allstar team that could beat either one of the Youngstown all stars, meaning we probably can't compete because of the huge drawing area they have to pullin players :)
  • Red Rum
    Riders1,
I didn't misinterpret anything....it pretty much goes like this...
An Orrville fan comes on the WCAL thread and decides to compare a WCAL all star team to a Youngstown all star team...then he can say how the WCAL has no chance. Sure, its true, but the point is why did this comparision get brought up in the first place!!! None of the regular WCAL posters were beating the "Our all stars could beat Youngstowns" drum. Why not compare the WCAL all stars to the Firelands or Patriot Athletic all stars? I know why, our guys may win against them and that wouldn't be any fun for you. Smells like a troll...

You then make jokes about Ashland countians (after Ashland slapped Orrville) Sounds like a troll...

I think you've been trollin' the thread, Riders1.

OrrQB-as far as your FYI, nobody cares, this is a WCAL thread.

BRF-You can't stand the toothbrush (not my favorite either) yet you taunt him. Please stop bringing him up.
  • OQB
And I have been keeping it wcal football until you had to bring up our loss to Ashland on the wcal thread!

Practice what you preach....keep it wcal like we have been!

As a Dalton grad, who now lives in Orrville district ( last house before Waynedale district) an follower of WCAL playoff games for years giving an opinion on "your personal" thread which is open to the public as I and other Orrville, Wooster, and triway fans have been on here for weeks doing also. We have supported WCAL teams and gave our opinions and will continue to do so. The comment was simple facts, public vs parochial and the uneven playing field of districts vs diocese, and no comment was made of having no chance, pull you panties out of the corncob up your butt. And the WCAL allstars against the Firelands or PAL would be a good matchup.:)

I pretty much do practice what I preach and if you actually follow the thread, you would know why I brought it up. I'm from Ashland County.

I really didn't enjoy reading your endless "I know this so you must respect me" posts from earlier in the season. You have calmed down, I thank you for that. However, you have managed to achieve the effect on me one has when running a cheese grater across ones face.

So I'll tell ya what, lets have a little poll. Who is more annoying? OrrQB or Red Rum.
If your found to be more annoying....You leave the WCAL football thread until the end of the 2012 season.
If I'm more annoying....I'll leave OC forever.
Only those who have posted on this thread in the last month can vote (10/7/10-11/7/10)

I don't actually know anyone on here, so once you get your orrville pals BRF & riders1 to vote, your already up 2-0. I probably ruffled a few other feathers as well, so you have a great chance here. Voting ends Sat 11/13 at midnight.

What do you say , OrrQB?
We'll see who "practices what they preach".
All it costs you is a couple seasons on 1 thread. If I lose I'm gone, from all of OC, forever. Not a small deal since I've been around on here and JJ for a 1,000+ posts over the years.

Holy shit fellas, can we get back to Hillsdale, Norwayne and Dalton being in the freaking playoffs?

Not my thread, never said it was. Once again, your comment came out of nowhere. This public/private argument must have been going on in your head or on some other thread because I didn't see it on here. The Ashland county joke just seems like sour grapes. I still maintain my opinion that your a troll. Deal with it.

Great job to all three WCAL teams advancing last week. That is a heck of an accomplishment and each team should be commended. I think Dalton and even Hillsdale can move on to round 3. I don't see many teams playing better than either one of these schools right now. As for Norwayne, it has been good knowing you. Next game could get ugly.
  • riders1
My opinion still stands it's hard to beat the YOUNGSTOWN ALLSTARS, and in my opinion you are a moron, deal with it :)
  • OQB
Haha wow you really are from Ashland county....

Here's a cookie for your "1,000 post" accomplishment, I'm sure your family is so proud of you! :D

I could really care less what your little poll would result in....Maybe you need a little self gratification, I don't know. What I do know is that this is a free, public site and I as well as the rest of the OC are allowed on this thread, and until you become the "owner" of this site (which is HIGHLY unlikely) you will just have to suck it up.

I have been very supportive of the WCAL over the years, and have attended a lot of games....What does you being from Ashland County have anything to do with Ashland Arrows beating us...Nothing!

Was this the kind of Cheese Grater you were wanting?

How dare you talk negatively toward a WCAL football team! You should be kicked out of here :D
