Steubenville def. Dover 28-14

  • HeathAlum21
I said before week 11 I thought Dover could give Steubenville a run for their money. We will see how accurate this prediction was. I hope I can make it to this game.

collaros was the best high school player I ever witnessed live. He was unreal in that game. But that game has NOTHING to do with this one.

I think Zach was the better all around QB, but Macon is probably flat out more athletic.

In 06, our D coordinator admitted he made some mistakes that let Dover hang around the game...I don't think he will make the same mistake twice. Besides, I think this defense is better than the 06 one, when healthy, but that remains to be seen.

    Go Dover!!!!!!
1st. I made this last year just for fun. 2nd. It is an Action figure 3rd. Friday you will get to see Big Red In "action, Figure" out how you cant stop them "doll". ... :D

    ROLL RED ROLL !!!

Zach played both sides of the ball and was the best player on each side. No way is Macon more athletic. If he is I want him at Ohio State. Only a big red fan would create his own action figure of a 16 year old kid. That's straight disturbing but totally believable.
  • ManO'War
Macon is faster and probably stronger, but Zach had/has the "it" factor.

Zach played both ways out of necessity....Macon does too on occasion, like last week. Macon also kicks...into the endzone.

If not for getting injured, Macon would have put up some gaudy stats, like he did the last 2 years.

Colleros delivered the killing 103 yd INT return. It was saying something that he was the better athlete on both sides of the ball that day. But, I agree he was and that does include Garner and Ifft, Jr.

Collaros was BY FAR the best BIG RED QB ever.......no offense to anyone else but you can argue who was faster or more athletic than zach but when you suit up and go on the FOOTBALL field no one holds a candle to Zach.......

And let me tell you this, Zach was the more mature in his jr. year than many BIG RED QB's are in their SR. year......

To win me one game, I'll take Zach over anyone and you'll be hard-pressed to find someone who will differ.....his LEADERSHIP qualities are only surpassed by his athletic ability, and THAT's something you won't find at BIG RED now......

Since Zach and Branko left, there's a lot of stuff that goes on that shouldn't be happening and you wouldn't see this BS going on when there were players like Collaros, Pressley, Busic, and Magnone around......

I think THAT will be our downfall before the kicking game or anything else.

Rinehart was dovers best athlete on the field but collaros was on a different level.

    ROLL DOVER ROLL
Haha!!!! Obviously you haven't seen Big Red play this year, so I'll help you out......If Dover win's it'll be b/c Mammo goes Kurt Warner and beats the blitz w/ his arm (in far less than 5 sec)...LOL...5-8 sec.???who do you think your playing????

Or if Mammo can go Fran Tarkenton and scramle around, buying time, and complete passes that way.....

Macon broke all most all of Zach's passing records at Big Red, but like I said, Zach had the "it" factor that you can't coach or teach.

    Guess who's back, back again
    Ernies back, tell a friend

Some of Big Red's players are looking softer than baby poo. I haven't figured out why.

NOPE..............It's never about the other team being better. if only to sidetrack a minute, NW says they would have beat Dover if they score inside the 5 once? The Dover defense had nothing to do with that either?

Next we are going to hear that Stuebenville was just letting Dover hang around for "practice" for the following week. :D

Macon is in an offense that throws a lot more now though. Right?
  • snyds113
I think that BigRed has alot of potential to do both.Salem did a nice job on coverage against us IMO.Holocaust survivor?
  • bases_loaded
Yeah there was a genocide of Dover huddlers the last time these two played. I hid in the attic and made it out.
  • finster4307
    I expect a close game.
    I expect BR to win.
Thank goodness this isn't BCS format...
That's why they play the game...

    WE ARE BIG RED
  • snyds113
So you have brought up the one question no one can answer. Will BIGRED run or pass?Probably a mixture. But who knows?
  • bases_loaded
I expect big red to be multi faceted on offense like they have been for several years with a little more spread looks. Dover I suspect will try to establish the run early.
  • snyds113
I think the Red may have underestimated Salem a bit and tried a few things out on them passing wise.(I like to think that's what happenned)Come friday the Red will run and use the clock against a tough Dover team. This game will be low scoring.
