You steeler-loving losers from Steubenville, PA wouldn't know what it's like to root for a team that doesn't win championships every year. I bet you all root for the Indians and Buckeyes when they are winning but could give a crap about the Pirates and Pitt Panthers, just as long as you get to root for winners, and I'm sure you all watched the Stanley cup finals the last 2 years for the first time since the early 90's. Let me scratch that, THIS YEAR, you didn't root for the Cleveland Indians but the Pitt Panthers are your favorite college team ever. You're right, we don't have trophies to be proud of, but there has never been a Dover team that we were not proud of, except for the soccer team.

That's right, I just bazingad the Dover soccer team lol
If you care to see some real hardware, make your way down to 420 N. 4th street. And if you stop by after 11/20 you can check out the 2009 R11 championship trophy.

Now run along and cheer for your soccer team...

I've never seen a team's fans talk so much stuff that has never done ANYTHING in the playoffs...and this goes back to 1999 when JJ's first started.

Dover thinks they are elite because they beat up on the ECOLi teams year after year.

Who knows? This could be their year, but until they actually do it, it is all talk.

You mean the same Massillon team that made it to the Div 1 State Final that year... they would've slaughtered any D3 team. Especially at Massillon.

Can't wait to see the Big Red play at Massillon next year... *giggle*

Dover and Steubenville are both underrated this yr! Calpreps has Dover favored 27-21, but they are not the favorites! Steuby is the team to beat until they get beat! I stand by my prediction though! Dover winning 27-14! Our time is coming... Our time is now!!! We will go through anyone who gets in our way!

Funny enough, that was all the talk prior to the game this year....Massillon was going to wipe the floor w/ Big Red. Guess what????? Didn't happen.

That's really the best you can come up with....using the hope that some other team will do, next year, what Dover can't.

You're jumping on the Massillon bandwagon for next season's game this early??????

HAHAHA!!!!!!! You always find a way to hit a new low.....I love it!!!!

This thread is a disgrace!! I thought this was about high school football.

Clean it up Dover posters - we're better than that. :(

I would love to focus on football, THIS YEAR'S GAME would be great. But if you want it to flame up we can do that too, we know how therapeutic it is for you fellas to try and knock on other communities. In honor of my previous sentence, I have 2 questions for Big Red fan, pick the one you want to answer-
    1. Do you think your kicking troubles will cost you a game, if not this week than after the region 11 champ has been crowned? Dover has no trouble on extra points but seems to have inconsistent protection on field goals.
    2. If you had to guess, what do Steubenville fans have less of, class? or bachelor's degrees?
  • Strapping Young Lad
We make extra points like pusheDover wins playoff games.....we're good for about two.
  • Mr. 300
Good luck Dover. It will be a great game and hope things stay civil this week.

    Lets get ready to RUUUMMMMBBBBLLLLEE!!!!
Shake hands and come out fighting.

Its all good wes. Dover fans are capable of talking football see last weeks Northwest thread, they were on gaygay too but it got effed up when guess who..Steubenvillians invaded, they are incapable of talking about this years game because they are still cleaning up juices from thinking about the last 10 years.

Steubenville fact of the day: In "Dean Martin: King of the Road" by Michael Freedland, when asked about his favorite memory of his hometown, Martin replied, "The day I left."
The Red will end Dover's season this week.
    Deal with it.

Dover played 4 playoff teams, two of which are still playing. Three division II teams and divison IV team. But they were no way as tough as the Big Red teams. Dover HAS to play perfect to win this game. They can not play like they did last week. Every team that wins a championship has a bad game, hopefully that is what happened last week.

They will have to play perfect to beat Mooney not Steuby!

Stop being an idiot. There is no Mooney if they don't win this week. I'm not sure who is more ridiculous, Steuby huddler claiming Dover is the favorite this week and was in '06 or the fact that you think Dover doesn't have to play their perfect game to win this week.

I know nothing about Dover, I've only seen highlight of them on the News.

Big Red, I like the run defense. Last year, a few teams burned us going outside (AKA Alter). But this year, we have enough team speed to either force everything back inside or stretch the field and have the ball carrier run out of bounds. We have four or five people to carry the ball, each one of them has their own different style running the ball. Arm tackling won't bring Macon down ask Salem, not a slam on Salem, a few times they had Macon in the backfield and he broke loose for large gains.

What I don't like, the defense gives up too many short passes. Salem hit alot of 5 yard passes. Except for Inkster, I really can't remember any team hurting us with long passes. I think the pass rush doesn't give the qb enough time to set up and hit a long one.

Let me clarify... I believe Mooney is the team to beat this yr overall. I don't believe either team will play PERFECT on Friday so PERFECT is too strong of a word. I don't understand why you think Steuby is so unbeatable! You sound like a fair weather fan! A fan who hopes Dover wins instead of believing Dover will win! I love Dover and will not tolerate fair weather fans! I should have worded my comment differently, but don't call me an idiot!!! You don't know me!

I think everyone needs to re-read the rules that are posted at the top of the football forum:

    1. No name calling or threats towards other site members or student athletes.
    2. No inappropriate language. If you wouldn't say it in front of a teacher or coach, don't say it here.
    3. No false accusations or rumor-mongering (this includes blindly accusing private or public schools of recruiting).

#1 and #2 are not being followed by everyone in this thread, consider this a warning.
