Geezy weezy, side note. Please do not post about pee wee football players on here, we have enough trouble keeping weird Al Bundy away from the 8th graders.

He's already got a thread about a 5th grade boy.

Word is talks have stalled between Mass. Jr. High and Orvilles varsity. Too many demands. Orville wanted 6 minute quarters AND a running clock in the second half if Massillon goes up 28.

Talks are ongoing with ML's varsity.
  • skank
That is fact Chiefy. Orrville had too many demands, every time Massillon would agree to a demand, Orrville would throw out 1 or 2 more, almost as if they actually wanted Massillon to say forget it. It worked.

    BREAKING NEWS

A private message from Massillon's biggest fan Weird Al Bundy has just confirmed that an agreement has been reached for Marion Locals varsity ball club to play a home and home series with Massillon's 8th grade squad in the years 2019 (@ Marion) & 2020 (@ Massillons beautiful Paul Brown Tiger Stadium.) He said details would be made public later, but he's hearing Marion Local is very happy with their haul.

When is the last time Massillon won a state title on the field? Just curious...
  • chiefy jones
I appreciate your passion for knowledge but please stay on topic. This is big news, I'm hearing that it's a trend that's going to take over, bigger more powerful teams 8th graders playing varsity teams from smaller schools that don't quite play at the level the bigger schools 8th graders play at.

Another barrier broken by the Tigers. You're all welcome.

    Question with no answer.

1972. We are planning a big celebration for the 45th anniversary.

Oh sweetheart....If I had a dime for every question I asked without receiving an answer I'd be a rich man. Well, I am a rich man but I'd be WAY richer.

Btw, where were you when these jokers don't answer my questions?
  • chiefy jones
Anyway, who do y'all think is gonna win the Massillon Marion game?

These other people are jealous of us and can't stop thinking about us. Every day they wake up thinking about Massillon. As Massillon fans, we never even think of the MAC except as an afterthought. We think it is cute when they come to our place to play in a state title game with tackles that weigh 190.
  • chiefy jones
Exactly, they are inspired by all of our championship banners, by our 17,000 seat stadium. The MAC is a league where mom and dad come to your games and that's it, not like Massillon where people come from miles around.

I don't care about receiving an answer. The point as that there is no answer to the question that was asked.

I just leave them alone. Their weird hypothetical threads have to be more entertaining to them than the usual "Who's gonna beat us in the first round THIS YEAR!?!?" reality of things.

Since 2002, we have only lost in the first round 4 times.

No answer if you're a believer that football was invented in 1972 that is. Pretty simple really. I never really thought you were too intelligent but I thought you were at least smarter than that.

Yes, no where near as important as the, "what was your last dream about?" Or, "what did you have for lunch today?" Threads that you're a big part of. Lol.

...wouldn't it be more entertaining for the players and fans to watch Massillon's varsity play a school like Cardinal Mooney instead of an 8th grade game vs the likes of Marion Local? With such great history for each of these schools, a matchup on the field would be HUGE draw for football fans around NE Ohio.
  • chiefy jones
"vs the likes of Marion Local?" "Vs the likes?" Wow....Disrespectful.

You want our varsity to play a tiny D4 program? It would be an ugly game, and it could be a safety issue for the kids.
  • chiefy jones
A "tiny D4?" The more you type the more your ignorance shows Weird Al. That "tiny D4" is one of the top schools in the state regardless of division with hand picked kids from all of the surrounding school districts. They're like St V....They both have recruiting bases that would make colleges like Alabama & Notre Dame jealous.

They only bring in kids from the surrounding school districts, but we are a national program. Our combine had kids come in from 30 states and 2 countries for a tryout. It would be a major upset if the Cardinals could prevent a continuous clock.
  • chiefy jones
    We ARE Massillon.

Just for fun....Name one kid our combine netted us.
  • chiefy jones
But you're right, we would probably dominate Mooney regardless of their recruiting practices.
