Massillon 8th grade vs Marion Local varsity
-
chiefy jonesHow much does Massillon 8th grade win by?
-
chiefy jonesI think it would be close for about the first minute or so, then Massillons 8th grade pulls away.
Big boy football is just too much for ML's varsity. -
skankNot even close.

It would be a nice little introduction to what Chiefy calls "big boy" football, but I think it would end badly for Marion's varsity squad.chiefy jones;1856916 wrote:I think it would be close for about the first minute or so, then Massillons 8th grade pulls away.

chiefy jonesTrue, but playing tougher competition would do wonders for them once they get into conference play. That is if the same kids are playing that week that played against our Jr. High.

SnotBubblesYou're taking it a little too far. There isn't an 8th grade team in the state that Marion Local's varsity football team wouldn't beat by 2+ touchdowns.
Massillon Varsity VS Marion Local Varsity - Yes, Massillon would win - probably every time.
But you're talking 12-13 year old kids VS 17-18 year old men. Let's not get ridiculous.
I'm not saying there aren't varsity teams that Massillon's 8th grade team couldn't beat - but Marion Local is not one of them. -
SnotBubblesAnd FYI...CalPreps.com "project a match-up" says Local 31, Massillon 20 (last year varsity).

Who said our 8th grade team is made up of 12-13 year old kids? Let's just say that most of our 8th grade team can drive to the games.SnotBubbles;1857063 wrote:You're taking it a little too far. ppaw1999Why would Marion Local risk injuries to their varsity players? I know they would enjoy another trip to the Mecca of high school football at The Massillon Paul Brown Stadium but the risk to their players wouldn't be worth it.

I'm not as brash as Chiefy, but my eye test tells me that Massillons 8th grade wins by 21. My eyes never lie.SnotBubbles;1857067 wrote:And FYI...CalPreps.com "project a match-up" says Local 31, Massillon 20 (last year varsity). -

This is exactly what another, very intelligent poster was saying....Don't send your kids to slaughter ML. You may hang with Mass 8th grade, but you'll risk the rest of the season....For what? So your varsity can brag that they almost hung with Massillons Jr. High? I wouldn't take the chance.ppaw1999;1857105 wrote:Why would Marion Local risk injuries to their varsity players? You're suspiciously very knowledgeable about area 8th graders.Al Bundy;1857089 wrote:Who said our 8th grade team is made up of 12-13 year old kids? Let's just say that most of our 8th grade team can drive to the games. -

Look, I know you're a huge Tiger fan, but a few parents asked me to tell you to quit following our 8th grade boys around. They're getting very nervous.Al Bundy;1857089 wrote:Who said our 8th grade team is made up of 12-13 year old kids? Let's just say that most of our 8th grade team can drive to the games. -

No doubt, it's one thing being a big Tiger fan, it's another being creepy and suspicious.chiefy jones;1857199 wrote:Look, I know you're a huge Tiger fan, but a few parents asked me to tell you to quit following our 8th grade boys around. They're getting very nervous. -
skankBack to the subject, Massillons 8th grade has a swarming defense that is very fast and very aggressive. Offensively, their offense can play ball control OR can speed up the pace with a hurry up type of no huddle. Their RB has good size and doesn't go down easily. Heck....I'm starting to talk myself into Chiefy's state of mind. I'm starting to think I should have voted 28 or more.

Jump on board brah. Has Isadore posted yet today? Guessing his age by his, "I'm hiding mine in your mouth" post, and his, "you used demographics wrong but I can't tell you why" post, I'm guessing mommy took his computer rights away. Or the basement flooded.skank;1857228 wrote:Back to the subject, Massillons 8th grade has a swarming defense that is very fast and very aggressive. I believe too that Massillon's D would be the difference in this game. Too many athletes....Too fast....Too aggressive....Too talented. These 8th graders would be too much for a group of Sr's who just aren't accustomed to playing big boy football.skank;1857228 wrote:Back to the subject, Massillons 8th grade has a swarming defense that is very fast and very aggressive. skankWas talking to a guy who had kids go to ML and play football, he has lived in Massillon for 6-7 years now. This gentleman even said as great a program ML has, they couldn't hang with Massillons Jr. High program. His exact words were, "Massillon is on a different level", and when he asked about a potential ML varsity vs a Massillon 8th grade game he seemed concerned about the safety and well being of the ML kids.

I understand completely....And agree. A ML varsity vs Massillon 8th grade game is fun to talk about but why put the ML kids in danger? There's no upside.skank;1857591 wrote:Was talking to a guy who had kids go to ML and play football, he has lived in Massillon for 6-7 years now. chiefy jonesisadore(able) sure is avoiding this thread isn't he? He knows Massillons 8th grade team would win handily. Even with all the cheating that goes on in the MAC.
If his cowardice behavior is any indication of the type of person Massillons 8th grade team would face vs MLs varsity....Massillon may just win by 35.
I'm not joking at all folks. -
skankWow, who choose less than 10?
Apparently someone who hasn't seen Massillons 8th grade team.
Which ironically I was just wondering where Weird Al Bundy has been lately and as I typed this I realized he's probably down under the bleachers watching the 8th graders practice. -
rmolin73I hear Perrysburg's pewee football team needs a game. Maybe Massillon's 8th graders can play them?
-
chiefy jonesGeezy weezy, Perrysburg had a great team against a Massillon team that was WAY below average for Massillons standards. But Perrysburg deserved the victory. What I think is funny is how many times I've seen their name brought up by non Perrysburg people....Keep living vicariously son....Keep living vicariously.
How many national titles does Perrysburg have? If it's 10 or more I'll shut up. Oh....And there's a thread you can post on....That is if Perrysburg or YOUR school has 850 wins or more....Will I see you over there?
