Spread All Day^You picked Campbell to win state in 2011. They scored 3 points vs the cats that year.. so if anyone is off on predictions its you.
Thats actually well known about the BBall coach, you dont even live here to know though.
Struthers will be better though, you have no idea what you're talking about. All those sophomores that beat CMHS last season are now juniors!! -4/5 linemen back as well.
Replacing the tight ends, d line (subs are still there) , some backers (the best one is back) and 2 guys in the secondary.
QB at Struthers is a stud. Has D1 interest as a sophomore. Has D1 size as well. -

Spread i said i would not listen to you at all. And if you don't get why i said what i said then you must be from Studders. I never said Campbell will compete this year. i never said anything about basketball. I know Rozum will be on the sidelines this year and next. We have a lot to be excited about. He is going to be getting some talent this year and next year that should start to pay off. Don't think for one second i believe anything you say about Ursuline Oh i mean Studders. 5 and 5 if that . Mark it eat it smell it my boy. No matter what strudder can not compete in that division. You get lucky once or twice but never has studder in the last decade maid anything happen. And you want my prediction before the season. yes enjoy it this season win against us. but it coming like a slow and methodical animal. Creeping up like you never thought it would. Rozum knew what he got into. He knows it would take a few years to pay off. and this is not the season as far as i know. Unless something changed and ill keep you posted on that one Spreddie.Spread All Day;1731594 wrote:^You picked Campbell to win state in 2011. OhioI don't get that post at all. Struthers has been very competitive the last couple years in the conference. I don't see Campbell competing with struthers in football for at least another 3 years and that's not outlandish to say, even their best team in recent years lost to a mediocre struthers team 22-3. No chance they are even competitive in the next 2 seasons.

The kids dont respect rozum. They dont show up to practice. But keep going man... you'll stop posting on this site around week 3 again. Nothing is coming like a slow animal, anyone from Campbell will tell you that. Campbell isnt the same anymore. Its not the same school you went to.reddevil90;1731889 wrote:Spread i said i would not listen to you at all. And if you don't get why i said what i said then you must be from Studders. And you say Struthers got lucky...... Campbell cant compete with Struthers at all. Thats a complete joke.
and i remember you being a fan of indian creek? I cant be a fan of a team with family on it but you can? Sorry that school is... not ursuline.
So stay in your river shanty lol -
soupcitysoldierKids definitely getting stronger. Still far away from where they need to be but marked improvement from last year in the weight room. Bottomline have to get in the weight room to turn things around. Other than that the Struthers guys can keep you posted on all things Campbell! I find it very strange so many Struthers guys on this Campbell page...its very strange. You guys have dominated us but you still have an inferiority complex...lil brother syndrome. Very hard for me to understand. Maybe its just stuff from your guys own high school years and now you feel the need to vent. I dont know. I just find it strange you guys are on here so much adding nothing intelligent to the conversation. Is what it is, whatever gets you going. I get it Campbell has a much more successful athletic program in their histories, but were not even close right now. Its night and day...why do you still have this "auburn" complex.
-
OhioThat comparison is moronic, this isn't the stone age anymore. I like to base things off the last decade. Be lucky if you even have a team week 6. Ineligible kids, and kids who will quit after getting abused week in and out.

Thanks soupcity. All i wanted was a update but i got it a little while back. I love how our coach is quitting before the season or im sorry looking for a new coach already. I guess it is the thing to do over there in Stunkers. I now know why i hate them. they have half the success of our football team ever in history of the gridiron and yet they are the monsters of the gridiron.soupcitysoldier;1736301 wrote:Kids definitely getting stronger. soupcitysoldierExactly Ohio, so stop trolling and get rid of your inferiority complex. You guys are like a bunch of Red Sox fans chanting "Yankees suck" after you guys just won three World Series in a decade. This lil brother trolling I really don't get, but it's a free world you guys should at least try to act like a successful program. No one is denying Struthers success but your trolling screams inferiority complex.
-
YtowngirlinflaNot to high jack the thread but whatever happened to the devils den? I used to hang there and another bar down the street. Had really good food but the name escapes me now. I lived in Campbell for 8 months before I joined the Navy about 7 years ago. Had some real good times. My roots go back pretty deep in Campbell as my Uncle uses to play the trumpet at the football games a long time ago.

Soup, quite beating up my Red Sox!! It would be great to see a competitive Campbell-Struthers game for a change. I believe the game is week 6 or 7 this season.soupcitysoldier;1736469 wrote:Exactly Ohio, so stop trolling and get rid of your inferiority complex. Talk about the last two decades. Talk about since the inception of the steel helmet trophy, Struthers LEADS the series 24-17, and have won what? 13/15 games???
I truly wish Struthers would stop playing CMHS for a few seasons, because right now it is not what were used to. None of us... even you band members on here.
Cmhs fans that claim superiority are like Michigan fans over Ohio State fans. Yes, UM leads the series, but Ohio state have been ruling that game for a while now. Similar toCMHS - Struthers.
Cats play Devils week 7 @ Laddie J -
Spread All DayCampbell SHOULD have a pretty good sophomore class, unless they left CMHS.

The Devils Den is now known as Moe's Lounge. The best bar food was at Mike's Place, which was near the bottom of 12th Street. Mike's was famous for chili dogs. Mike's is gone. The place was renovated a couple of years ago and reopened as Two Reasons. I am not sure if that is still in business. Was your uncle's name Archie P? If so, a great guy who is missed.Ytowngirlinfla;1736513 wrote:Not to high jack the thread but whatever happened to the devils den? I used to hang there and another bar down the street. Yep that's my Uncle Archie. He was such a great guy. Used to take me to the football games in the mid to late 80's. Every time he'd give me a $2 bill to spend but I never spent them and still have all of them today.
Campbell had/has the greatest dive bars I've been to anywhere in the US. -
OhioSeason hasn't started yet, and nothing.... Already given up

soupcitysoldierIts been quiet no 8-2 predictions and complaining about Hubbard getting recruits and how were favored to win our division here...yes its quiet, but so is the delusion.

Struthers is strong on offence. But not very strong on D. They will not produce shutouts. There going to let a few games get away! I say 5 and 5 at best. Might get to 6-5! As far as Campbell goes we have both lines back with a year of experience. I will not go and predict anything cause I just don't have a clue what they have going on other than they are stronger and faster and have two very capable QB's! This should be the turning point this year that will produce a potential League championship team next year. we have a ton of talent starting this year and a for a few year going.soupcitysoldier;1745149 wrote:Its been quiet no 8-2 predictions and complaining about Hubbard getting recruits and how were favored to win our division here...yes its quiet, but so is the delusion. -

Did i just read that? League championship next year???
3-7 AT THE VERY BEST FOR THE RED DEVILS. This year, and next.
He said struthers 5-5 lol okay. You're delusional. They lost 3 games last year in the late 4th. Could of easily been 7-3 but the ball didnt bounce their way. I expect it does a lot more with a division 1 quarterback, and 4/5 linemen returning.
Struthers could hang 60 on Campbell this year of they wanted. But i expect the Jv's to be in at the start of the 2nd half.
You guys won't be posting on here after week 3 again.
Be back week 7.
and gar, try to leave your river hut once in a while and learn about mahoning valley football. -

There is really no need for Campbell to worry about Struthers except during the week that they play. It's true, Campbell does have all five starting linemen back from last season. But keep in mind some of those linemen were freshmen last season. And that was a 2-8 team. In fact Campbell has 7 starters back on both sides of the ball. And due to the usual lack of depth on the roster, most if not all of those returning players will play both ways. The improvement this season from Campbell will be their physical strength, which has improved alot over last season. That being said Campbell still has a way to go. Will they be improved this season? Yes. But being improved does not always translate to wins. Campbell is rebuilding. It will take some time. If Campbell finishes with a .500 season this year, that will be a step in the right direction. Three of the first four games are really tough. Where the team is by week five will say a lot as to how they finish. Rozum is trying to get the kids to believe in themselves, to realize that the only way improvement can translate into wins is to work harder each and every day.reddevil90;1745168 wrote:Struthers is strong on offence. OhioNot being a "hater" of any sort, but is it wrong to think that Campbell will be 1-7 to start the season?
-
soupcitysoldierOhio I appreciate adult conversation so Ill jump in. Id say absolutely a possibility. A very real possibility. Looks like Struthers will stay D4 and Memorial will drop to D6. Mooney and Ursuline move up a division also.
-
OhioI see Newton falls and champion as wins for sure, but the other teams on the schedule for them are tough games. Playing liberty week 1 or 2 woulda helped also, no clue how or who will actually suit up for liberty week one
