The managers etc...are fired up. -
thavoiceDont count out DSJ to be Trimble's opponant next weekend. MSML and DSJ played earlier and it was only 28-14 which dropped DSJ to 2-4. They have not lost since. They have since found their identity as the coach said a few weeks ago and since they have done that it has been a diff story. I look for the MAC to go down to Trimble in the finals and bring the title back to the eastern part of the state
-
BlueJLooks like Marion Local has DSJ beat. It's amazing how I have never heard their team, coach, or fans ever mention recruiting when playing DSJ. Classy team, classy community, not surprised at all at their success. You want to pick a team to emulate go with Marion Local.

supermanTrimble vs. MSML for the first ever Division 7 State Title.
-
GoChiefsHope its at PBTS.
-
BlueJIn my opinion ML by at least 30. Good luck to both teams. ML could have beat DSJ by 50 if they wanted to tonight. Seems like they let off the gas about midway through the 3rd quarter.
-
Mohican00Here ya go, Trimble. Make it happen
-
ts12277:00 PM Saturday at Massillon
-
supermanThis is what Trimble wanted all along. It may ended being a mistake, but we wanted a shot at the best.

I think most teams in the MAC look at DSJ as a diff animal when it comes to being private. We dont see them getting new "recruits" in during HS like you see some players jump teams at some private schools. Some private schools get athletes coming from other schools in JH and HS and are not their home grown, but most see DSJ as having the same kids from start to finish like publics. -
EnforcerLook out Massillon, The Mafia is coming!!
-
EnforcerAnyone from up that way give Me some info on the stadium , I've seen a pic but it small. Is there any places to stand to watch a game? We have a few Who like to stand up to watch, How's the parking? Any good local places to eat???
and can someone get Me the actual address for the stadium? -
GoChiefs
Just for the heck of it...here's Massillon's indoor practice facility next to PBTS.
You won't have any issue with parking. Plenty of it.
The address is:
1 Paul E Brown Drive SE
Massillon, OH 44646
There's some decent places to eat close by. Smiley's if you like Italian is OK, Rockne's, BW3's, Menches Bros, Cameo Grill, Firehouse Grill, Erie Street Pub, Applebee's, IHOP, and Top Of The Viaduct are all within a couple miles. Plus all your major fast food joints are within close proximity as well.
As for standing, it's not really allowed. -

Our team has played up there quite often and you can ALWAYS find places to stand and watch the game. You may not be able to stand in the seat that you are assigned but you can most def find places to stand and watch. I think just one time I watched a game seated with the actual seats. Most times I head for about the 10-20yard line and go up a bit and watch it from there.
With his game being DVII there will be PLENTY of spots to watch it standing. -
GoChiefs
OK, well that was from someone that attends all the Massillon games at PBTS. I was told you can't stand, there's really only one place you can, but they don't let you. Maybe that's just for the Massillon games, I dunno.thavoice;1545670 wrote:Huh? WHy not?

We have played in the DIV and DV finals there, and I have been to DVI finals at PBTS as well, and there are always places to stand.
If you are on the side with the press box you may have to get to about the 10 yard line or so, but on the other side it is taller and you can usually stand at a better yard line.
The end zones are always wide open as well to stand.
I hate sitting at games as well and even though they are reserved seats at the finals I just go where I can stand. Last year it was about teh 10 yard line at PBTS -
ts1227Average finals attendance last year was 7,319... D6 (smallest division last year) was 5,509.

BlueJI don't know how Trimble is planning on stopping Bertke. No one in the MAC sure figured it out and that includes Coldwater who is playing in the D5 title game. Seems like against DSJ the guy was throwing 30 yard passes at will.
-
EnforcerTrimble should easily have around 2000 fans, from a school with 400 students
-
superman
Was he laying on his back, when he threw them? Because that could make a difference.BlueJ;1545807 wrote:I don't know how Trimble is planning on stopping Bertke. He might very well do it against Trimble but We won't know till Saturday.
Everyone said SCC will get You , Yoy can beat them
Everyone said IF Your luck to get by them Shadyside will beat You for sure
Everyone said there's no way in HELL You beat WR
Now it's You can't compete with the MAC, Well last I checked ML is just one team, Yes they are very good, but We have nothing to lose, and all the pressure is on ML in this game -
BlueJ
Also remember that teams like DSJ and ML hear the same thing year in and year out from the east side of the state. Anything is possible, but it's not like you can blame fans from the MAC for having confidence. Norwalk St. Paul shocked a lot of people a few years ago (although they are probably not what I'd consider an Eastern Ohio school). Untill a team like Trible comes to the title game against a MAC school and puts it to them expect to be considered the underdog.Enforcer;1546023 wrote:He might very well do it against Trimble but We won't know till Saturday.

Good Luck against ML, and congrats on the already successful season. -
EnforcerHell We don't blame fans from the MAC For their way of thinking, they have EARNED that right to think that way . You guys are standard in Small School Football. We hope to start the tradition like You have of being DEEP in the playoffs, But We have EARNED the right to be there this year and We be leave We can win!!
This group of Young Men at Trimble are the finest We've seen in a while.
They are fully focused on task at hand are looked forward to the test of ML.
