What does Indian Creek do now?

  • FairwoodKing
The Indian Creek school levy was just turned down by the voters. What does Creek do now? They were counting on a new high school building and, I believe, some renovations to the stadium. Their high school building is ready to be condemned. Many of their classes are held in old trailers.

The wisest thing would be for them to give up and move the high school students into the Steubenville High School building. As a Big Red fan, I would hate to see this happen. I remember the problems the Mingo and Wintersville students had in integrating in the 1990's when the consolidation took place. Big Red doesn't need those kinds of problems.

It doesn't appear that Creek is going to get a new building anytime in the near future. I just wonder what they are going to do.

Now from what I heard, they can still get it somewhat in the near-future. They can put it on the presidential ballot in November, unless the 5 million the state was gonna give us is gone.

They better make plans to consolidate with Edison. The levy will never pass, no matter how many times you try pushing it. People are tired of the wasted money that they have already received with past levies and they keep begging for more. The bad part of this is the kids suffer because of an inept school board who have looked out for their personal interest over the years, not the interest of the school. How about that condemned elementary school on Fernwood Rd that was in such bad shape that it was beyond repair, so the board decided to sell it to one of their doctor friends who turned around and renovated it, turning it into a business complex, selling off some of the land that now has a hospital built on it and now he has sold the remaining property and building to another school to be used as a SCHOOL. You have a couple of people on the board who are not fit to run a lemonade stand, let alone a school district.

The kids dont have to suffer. Steubenville has the top two rated elementary schools in the entire state !!!!!!!! Why in the world would you not send your kids to Steubenville is beyond me . They will continue to beg for more money and it will either pass or they will eventually consolidate with Edison .

That would be an interesting situation. Would Connors and his staff take over the football program or would Reno and his staff be left in charge? What would happen to the Steubenville school board, would they be replaced by the Indian Creek board of education?

First off, Indian Creek IS NOT in the city of Steubenville. Ward 6 in the city of Steubenville is in the Indian Creek school district. The remaining school district is in Mingo, Wintersville, Bloomingdale, out to the Harrison County line. To say that Steubenville schools are closer to most of the kids than Indian Creek schools is a stretch to say the least. Bet you didn't know that did you??? So before you lay claim to the Indian Creek school district, get your facts straight.

Nah, he'll just keep saying how great Steubenville schools are. How everyone should go to them. Kinda reminds me of the kid from Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure that has to give a speech and really has nothing to say, so at the end he just yells out "San Dimas High School Football Rules!" and all the kids clap for him.

I think FairwoodKing is off the mark in his condemned statement. Unless I missed something. Has the fire marshal or state officials done an inspection and cited IC for violations? If so what were the violations???

I know that at least one IC building was condemned. Maybe it was the middle school. At any rate, if their buildings aren't condemned, they should be.
