How much of his staff is he bringing with him? -
BirddogDon't know just heard the DC is not a good coach and not good for players. Heard he uses lots of bad language.
-
THE4RINGZI know some of his assistants and there is one I pray to God he doesn't come with him.
-
Birddog[WU][/U]Well since you live in wooster I bet he maybe in the insurance business guy and he was the DC for haas. You better hope he does not come.

Actually, not the guy I was thinking of but I know who you are referring to. The guy who did the coin toss at the DIV state championship game. LOL -
Red RumIf Haas did indeed get the job, then history dictates that we should start identifying candidates for the Wooster job in 2015

Het, I found a Miyagi T-Shirt at Goodwill ($1.50). Can I wear it when I go to Forums?BlackSmith;1061051 wrote:I'm very depressed today Rejection always does that to me. I will continue to respect Team Miyagi -
RedRider1The safe choice...and favorite all along.
Good luck in weeks 1 through 9, Coach. -

You may have found a Miyagi shirt...and you are welcome to wear it,.......BUT Team Miyagi shirts are personalized with our OC namesBlackSmith;1063893 wrote:Het, I found a Miyagi T-Shirt at Goodwill ($1.50). Can I wear it when I go to Forums? -
jph1589I've been watching WHS football for 6 years and I am really hoping you guys are wrong about the choice.
Didn't Wooster just have a 4-6 season?
So somebody explain to me how hiring another 4-6 team's coach is the right move? I hope I am just missing something, but I don't really need to see another losing year just done a different way.
I guess if I never have to see any more of those kickoff theatrics, I will be happy no matter who it is. Or maybe not. -
THE4RINGZHaas has been my #1 choice all along. The job skipping that he is accused of has really been him working him self up to the right job. I like the hire.
And I don't see him as a 4-6 coach at Wooster. He has never had a program with this much talent in it at any of his previous positions.
The program can once again start to show its General Pride. -

1. There are no tee shirts.BlackSmith;1063893 wrote:Het, I found a Miyagi T-Shirt at Goodwill ($1.50). Can I wear it when I go to Forums?
2. No member would ever willing surrender his shirt.
3. You could wear a Team Miyagi shirt, but not be a member. Just like I see people wearing brown's jersies on Sundays, but I highly doubt they actually play for the team.
4. We are a small enough group to know our members by sight, just showing up in a shirt won't get you very far.
5. Have a nice day. -
jph1589I don't know any of these guys personally, so the only thing I can see is their records and history. His last two years at Cloverleaf were 4-6. Over eight years the record is 39-42. Yes there was a playoff game(loss) at Rittman, but it was followed by a 1-9 season. Yes there was a playoff game(loss) at Triway, but then he left immediately.
I am sure I've ruffled some feathers already but wins and losses is what it is all about. I hope I am wrong!! -
THE4RINGZI do know Coach Haas personally, and you didn't ruffle my feathers. All coaches have their detractors.
I like Haas for the 180 or maybe the 170 he can do with this program. -
Fencer18I too I hope this hire choice is not true, this is not the right choice for Wooster football. I'm sorry, but you can't say that in all his years of coaching at different schools that he didn't have enough good talent to come out with an overall winning record... but it will be different at Wooster? Wooster does indeed have some nice talent coming back, but will he be able to coach them correctly into success??
If rumors hold true, it's unfortunate that the administration did not follow through with the second round of interviews as they have previously stated they would. Hard to believe that with the pool of candidates that interviewed, that Haas wow'd them that much in the first round. -
THE4RINGZI guess time will tell whether this was the right decision or not.
-
Fencer18Yes, you're right. Either way I wish the Generals the best in the upcoming seasons.
-
gowooWith the talent Wooster has coming up they should have more success by default, not to underestimate the importance of good coaching. I think Haas is a good choice, this could be the job he has been waiting for. I think the other candidates, while interesting, would have looked at this job as a stepping stone. Maybe Haas is ready to settle into a program. As said earlier, only time will tell.
-
RedRider1Did they get Haas' shoe size during the interview process?
-
THE4RINGZ

Old RiderHAAS??? REALLY??? LOLOLOLOLOL:laugh::laugh::laugh:
I knew Wooster would find a way to screw it up! -

So, let's say he has a good year and a few bad years. According to what you said, it will be because nobody with talent went out for football, not that he doesn't have what it takes? I don't buy that at all. We can just agree to disagree. If this was the choice, it was a bad one.THE4RINGZ;1063976 wrote:Haas has been my #1 choice all along.
