3 weeks until the state championships...Orrville is thinking about its week 12 opponent, not a state title.bobcat14;962454 wrote:LOL...sorry just trying to be down home CrestVigina.......
Why all the hatred toward Norwayne?.....is it because of one video?.....After the Norwayne Hillsdale game I seen all the fans line the exit of the field waiting for the Bobcats....when Hillsdale came through everybody cheered for them and told them good game.
I'm not sure why Norwayne is hated so much......we have been the "whooping post" for so many years but now we are playing good football and we have become "cocky"????..... One player making an azz out of himself should not destroy the whole teams rep....
These are good kids that come from good parents just trying to win football games....
Everybody has been asking "where are all the Norwayne posters??"...we are here......we support our team and OUR "TRADITION"..it may not be the same "tradition" as Orrville has but we have it..........
Two good football teams going head to head with only one thing on their minds..........STATE

The DORK strikes again :laugh:Old Rider;963029 wrote:RR1...Im with you regarding the DR article this morning. Wayne County Showdown?? Its a week 12 playoff game that the media is now calling the biggest game in history. The comment pulled from July was typical fashion for Dorksen...he wants nothing more than for Norwayne to beat Orrville. That fine!
Lets just enjoy the atmosphere and watch these kids play their hardest to move on to week 13!
Go Red Riders! -
Full ThrottleLooks to me like Norwayne is getting what they want. A meeting with the underdog Riders.
-
CCRollyIf Dorkson wants to create a stir, why not go with the McCreary string?
-
riders1The DORK should give equal time to Paul for it to be an unbiased story!

OrrvillefootballThx guys for leaving me in the stone age. I have been reading for a couple days now and decided to jump into the fire. lol. I was wondering why it had got so quit over yander

No answer yet to my first question....I'll be patient.Havin Fun;963014 wrote:Norwayne by 10-14. I don't see Orrville having the ability to control the ball which means the Norwayne offense will have the ball and will find ways to score. We will see. Should be a great game!!!!!!!!!
Orrville has faced three very good dual threat QB's and offenses this year. I would say comparable to Adam Wallace.
Copley with Gigliotti and Argeros Turner (offers from Illinois and Tennessee) and Orville gave up 7 in Regulation
Ashland with an offense that Averaged 45 a game and we gave up 14
Wooster with Daugherty and Anderson and we gave up 7 in regulation.
So for this to occur I guess you are figuring on a shutout of the Riders this week. Not an impossible task. Teams have accomplished this before. But this is a pretty bold statement and I'm just thinking here....Just wondering how many times this year you have faced a team with a guy who runs 4.3 and has a vertical of 35+ inches and State medalist in multiple events on the track? How many backs your Defense has had to tackle who runs a 4.5 and is 220lbs and can rep 225lb bench press 19 times...or how many kids you face who have been so athletically gifted they can just step in when needed at QB and lead an offense to average 44 a game, who is also a multiple state medalist on the track. just thinking out loud here....
Orrville has their work cut out for them this week. No doubt about it. Just like week 12 should be. have to limit the big plays and mistakes. Teams that can do this will win in the playoffs. I don't care if it is by 1 point... just win baby. -
Full ThrottleShout out to Matt Davis. You are incredible. What you do with one good leg is remarkable. In a way, your what Orrville Football is all about.Alot of heart imo.Should be a inspiration for any player with two good legs.No Excuses.

Because that site is terrible...
Welcome to the jungle. -
Diehard Rider FanI'd like to see our dbacks get up on the los and be extremely physical with the receivers this week. That would allow the front 7 an extra second to get to Wallace. I'd like to see a little more "swag"
-
footballnutI think Havin Fun is just havin fun.
There isn't soul on this site that thinks Orrville is the underdog in this one -
Orrvillefootballthis is a jungle all right. something like the amazon. 5knots i like it when you think out loud.

That's EXACTLY how we defended Elyria Catholic's talented WR's last year...and we frustrated them beyond belief...held All-State WR Zach Rogers to 3 catches for 21 years. Of course, that was Tre Simpson on defense for us and he was a very physical DB....but I think we have the kids back there to play like that, especially this week.Diehard Rider Fan;963127 wrote:I'd like to see our dbacks get up on the los and be extremely physical with the receivers this week. Well I asked a serious question about why he felt the Cats would handle us by 14? I just wondered if he/she had done their homework or just spouting off?Orrvillefootball;963153 wrote:this is a jungle all right. something like the amazon. 5knots i like it when you think out loud.
Mason spent a little time with Adam Wallace at the OSU camp in June. I got to meet his father and both great people and Wallace is a very athletic kid....obviously. But we have some athletes over here as well. For fear of repercussion from Ringz I will keep my mouth shut about team speed. I have watched Norwayne and they have speed...no doubt about it. I don't know if they have faced that kind of speed yet? I know we have...and not always a positive outcome. It's different when say the linebackers are faster than the QB...very different. -
OQBGreat posts today guys!!!

Welcome to the OC n00b! Glad to add another Rider faithful! -

That was the best pass defense I have ever witnessed from an Orrville team.....The Db's finally got physical and jammed them off the line rather than sitting back 7-8 yards and letting them find ways to get open. I can't wait to see that matchup.....Orrville Defense vs Norwayne Offense. Going to be a great night!RedRider1;963169 wrote:That's EXACTLY how we defended Elyria Catholic's talented WR's last year...and we frustrated them beyond belief...held All-State WR Zach Rogers to 3 catches for 21 years. Diehard Rider FanNo doubt RR1. Thats why I would have liked to have seen it in week 7 but you we did a good job against a pretty good offense anyway. The problem wasn't defense in that game. I guess I'd like to see us tighten it up anytime we play a spread offense. Those 5 to 15 yarders give us fits at times and those types of qbs love to pick you apart. Especially on 3rd & 4 to 7 yards.

Exactly...the hard thing is when we are playing off like that the QB just catches and throws because we are giving him an open receiver before the snap. Tighten it up and dial up the pressure. It hurt us last year against Ashland as well.....we were trying to get pressure on Fuller, but he had the ball out of his hand so fast, that a good rush wasn't even getting to him because the db's were playing off. Coaches will have these boys ready!!Diehard Rider Fan;963260 wrote:No doubt RR1. Thats why I would have liked to have seen it in week 7 but you we did a good job against a pretty good offense anyway.
