The possibility of a game with Valdosta is gone for now. Valdosta wanted to move the game out of the week #3 spot, and it just wasn't doable at this point, they will continue to work on a future game. -
coyotes22Well, looks like i will make every game but the Maumee game.

J-DoverLooks like it is building up to be a good senior season for some of the Tigers...fridaynightohio.com/news/massillons-gareon-conley-offered-michigan-kentrell-taylor-toledo

skankConley has also been offered by Northwestern. And Kempt Stanford, West Virginia, and several others.
-
ThinthickbigredIm glad we are playing you guys earlier in the season I hope it stays that way . I dont like playing you guys after a bunch of away games though . There will be even more people at the Big Red Massillon game than last time we played up there . Both teams will contend for state this year . Atleast on paper .
-
FairwoodKingYes, this year's game should be very tough. Big Red brings back a powerhouse, and Massillon should be better than last year. I'd like to see both teams win the state championship. I'm going to make every effort to fly in from Seattle to see that game. I'm sure I won't be disappointed.

skankI've been hearing rumors, could possibly be here next week.

http://youtu.be/N2gW79QF7-g
The kid has nice feet and moves well, he run blocks like a road grader and the limited pass blocking that you see on the video look pretty good too. -

Best of luck with the combine next week. Hopefully you are able to land him and some of the other recruits.skank;1111186 wrote:I've been hearing rumors, could possibly be here next week.

Dont you have an illegal under age drinking party to attend to today with your drunk friends at the Ursulin, or did you flip over to the Mooney side and go with Dego Red this St Pats day.Al Bundy;1119385 wrote:congrats. Are you expecting many more commitments after the combine today? -
Al BundyI'm not an Ursuline or Mooney guy. I'm a fan of a local public school. I was just giving congrats to the Tigers. I talked with a few real Massillon fans today, and it sounds like they brought in some talented kids for tryouts this year. There is a lot of controvery and mixed feelings in Massillon regarding this.

skankI said I wasn't going to respond to the gentleman whos post is above this one, simply because, he is a liar. But I will say this, don't believe a word this guys says, there is no controversy whatsoever in Massillon. The only kid that I know is here is young Mr. Devers, and his dad was transferred here for work. Despite what the poster who I earlier referred to says, I'm sure Affinity Hospitals has more to worry about than stocking Massillons football roster with studs.
Have a nice day. -

It is pretty clear that I have better connections with what is going with Massillon than skank. Skank claimed that Massillon was only going invite kids who have used up their high school eligibility to their combine this year. My claim was that they would invite underclassmen from multiple states. I even offered him an avatar/signature bet on it, but he declined. Massillon did invite several underclassmen from various states to the combine. I claimed that the Devers transfer wouldn't be complete until they were hooked up with a job. Ravenna is only about 30 miles from Massillon and both schools are open enrollment, so the family could live in either community and easily attend the other. Most people wouldn't even move for a job that is only 30 miles away. Once again, the transfer didn't occur until he was hooked up witha a job.skank;1122486 wrote:I said I wasn't going to respond to the gentleman whos post is above this one, simply because, he is a liar. The current controversy involves Massillon's philosphy on building a program. The top programs in Ohio develop a core group of kids who work together through high school. The Massillon philosophy is to hold combines and try to bring in top talent. Many in the Massillon community believe that more effort should be put into working with the kids that they currently have instead of always spending time trying to bring in someone new. Others in the community feel that Massillon should continue to hold combines and bring in kids from all over the country. That has created the current controversy in Massillon. Many in Massillon love playing the role of the renegade program that has been on probation more than any other program. The problem is that playing the role of the bad guy just makes them look silly when they don't win.
Massillon has many great fans. Many of those fans would love to see Massillon win their first state title some day. Good luck to Massillon in winning their first title one of these years. -
skankAgain folks, this man/woman/teenage girl, is a liar. I have NEVER claimed that Massillon would only invite kids who have used up their HS eligibility, I brought it up to page one in the basement forums in the public/private debate, look at page #185, posts #4621 and #4622. Stone cold busted lying.
I'll tell you what, since he's so keen on the avatar bets, I'll make HIM one that he can't find where I said, '"Massillon was only going to invite kids who have used up their eligibility"".
Liar.
Again, for some of the slower posters on here, you know who you are, Massillon doesn't "hold" the combine, they "host" the combine....There IS a difference. Massillon/Canton doesn't "hold" the State Title games....They "host" the State Title games. See where I'm going with this? Do ya? Nike/ESPN "holds" the combines.
I would be willing to bet that a certain poster could not tell us where Mr. Devers worked/works. -
ThinthickbigredDont worry Skank . I know he has double standards and distortions. If Massillon was given the same free reign as the catholic universities then things would be different . I hope you guys go 14-1 next year .

Al Bundy
You claimed that the Massillon combines were for kids going to college, while I claimed that the combines were for underclassmen. Almost all of the kids that Massillon "hosted" were underclassmen. Massillon is even willing to host the top ones for the rest of their high school careers. That is mighty friendly of them.skank;1123270 wrote:Again folks, this man/woman/teenage girl, is a liar. Since Massillon is open enrollment, and Ravenna is only around 30 miles from Massillon, I'm not sure why the job was even an issue in the transfer. Yet, the transfer wasn't completed until the job offer.
Good luck to the Tigers in 2012. It is always nice to see programs that have never won a title have good seasons. -
skankI never said that folks, I said the....NIKE....combine was meant to get kids noticed by colleges, I never said the....NIKE....combine was for kids going to college, again, he's caught in a lie folks. This, ladies and gentlemen, is an example of a guy who's school targets student athletes, and gives them scholarships, but is concerned with a family moving to Massillon because dad was transfered here for work. Now, I haven't checked the agenda for the last Board of Directors meeting at Affinity Hospital, but I'm willing to bet supplying Massillon with football players by transferring their parents to Massillon was not on it.
-
skankSince I don't associate with liars, could someone please ask Bundy if he accepts my avatar bet?
-
sherm03I don't care what the reasoning is that put the kid in Massillon. The only people that should be concerned with why he ended up at Massillon are him and his parents.
BUT...had this kid's dad taken a job at a hospital in Youngstown, and they chose to send their child to Mooney or Ursuline...would you feel the same about the situation skank? I highly doubt it. You would, without a doubt, make a post talking about how he was recruited.
Quit blaming private schools for doing the same thing your school does. -

Again, if you guys want to talk about this, take it over to the public/private thread which, btw, I brought back to page one to prove Bundy is a liar. -
