Week 9: Newton Falls (2-6) at Campbell Memorial (6-2)

    NOW LETS NOT START WITH THE RUMOR THING HERE. 2 OF THEM KIDS WERE NOT FIGHTING. IT DON'T MAKE IT RIGHT BUT THE BOY STARTED THE FIGHT WITH THE ONE OF THE FOOTBALL PLAYER. THE OTHERS GOT IN TROUBLE FOR BEING THERE. AND THIS ISN'T A RUMOR I ONLY STATE THE FACTS OF WHAT I KNOW NOT WHAT I HEAR!!!!!THIS IS WHAT I HATE ABOUT THESE FAKE FANS. IT'S NOT THE KIDS THAT YOU ALL THINK ARE THE TROUBLE MAKERS YOU NEED TO LOOK CLOSELY. YOU ALWAYS HAVE SOMETHING NEGATIVE TO SAY AND SAYING THINGS YOU DON'T KNOW NOTHING ABOUT. BUT YOU ARE KEEPING QUIET ABOUT THE FIGHT THAT HAPPENED EARLIER IN THE SEASON AND NONE OF THEM WAS SUSPENDED, BECAUSE OF WHO IT WAS, AND THEY WERE FIGHTING, NOW COME ON IF YOU ARE GOING TO STATE THINGS MAKE SURE IT'S TRUE!!!!

    and let me guess? the other 2 innocent kids refused to tell the administration because they didnt want to be a "snitch"??? because being a snitch in todays day and age is worst than losing a chance to win a conference championship. the mentality of these kids and this poster is obviously completely oblivious to common sense. common sense isnt too common. how many strikes do these kids want? you wonder why people end up in the situations that they are. my black folk need to wake up and realize what kind of kids we are bringing into society. we want a handout for everything and dont take a bit of responsibility for a thing. shame on us. our kids are too busy thinking they are lil wayne to be football players. i commend coach on suspending the kids but now its time to kick them off the team. enough is enough. when i played we did our talking on the field. ya racial slurs were dropped, but what did we do? we destroyed the other team, not get flagged every single time. my black community needs to wake up and smell the roses...we are taking steps back not forward. obamas not coming to save us.

    NO THE ADMINISTRATION KNOWS EVERYTHING THE BOY WHO WAS FIGHTING TOLD THEM HE WAS THE ONE FIGHTING. THATS WHY THE OTHER BOYS DIDN'T GET THROWN OFF THE TEAM, THEY ONLY GOT IN TROUBLE FOR BEING THERE. NO ONE SAID THEY WAS INNOCENT THEY SHOULD KNOW IF A FIGHT STARTS TO WALK AWAY. JUST DON'T WANT THOSE TWO GUYS TO BE GETTING BLAMED FOR WHAT HAPPENED. AND AS FOR THE COACH, HE LETS CERTAIN KIDS GET AWAY WITH MURDER, TALK TO HIM ANYWAY, LATE FOR PRACTICE AND CERTAIN KIDS DON'T PRACTICE LIKE THE WHOLE TEAM DOES SO HOW HE PUNISHES KIDS AND LET OTHERS GET AWAY WITH EVERYTHING, I GUESS IF YOUR NAME IS A CERTAIN NAME YOU CAN DO WHATEVER AND THATS NOT FAIR. AND YOU CAN BE THE BEST PARENT AND TEACH YOUR CHILD RIGHT THAT DON'T MEAN YOUR KIDS ALWAYS LISTEN SO YOU CAN'T ALWAYS BLAME THE PARENT. I JUST COMMENT ABOUT SITUATIONS I KNOW ABOUT. I DON'T LISTEN TO ALL THE GOSSIP ABOUT THE KIDS BECAUSE THE ONES THAT YOU ALL THINK DON'T DO WRONG, THINK AGAIN. I FEEL SORRY FOR A COUPLE OF THE PLAYERS ON THE TEAM THAT GETS BLAMED FOR EVERYTHING BECAUSE PEOPLE LISTEN TO THE STREETS. IT JUST SEEMS IN CAMPBELL A LOT OF THIS GOES ON. I GRADUATED IN 89 BEEN LIVING IN CAMPBELL MOST OF MY LIFE RAISED 3 BOYS AND ARE VERY CLOSE TO SOME KIDS ON THE TEAM. I'M TELLING YOU TALK TO A FEW OF THE KIDS AND SEE WHAT GOES ON AT PRACICE IN THE LOCKER ROOM AND HOW HE TREATS MOST OF THEM. DON'T JUST GO BY WHAT YOU SEE AT THE GRIDIRON MEETINGS. LOOKS CAN BE DECIEVING .

    I will leave my opinion on off the field issues for somewhere else. With all due respect to everyone posting about the off the field issues, and I understand if a few of you are upset about what you have been hearing, I feel it's best to keep those opinions off this forum. The same goes for how the coaching staff treats the players and how they deal with issues. They are there day in and day out. I am not. We should consider ourselves very fortunate to have such a good coaching staff at Campbell. This is a big game and Campbell needs to win it. Keep the mistakes to a minimum and Campbell should be okay vs. Falls. Turn the ball over too many times and it could be interesting.

    Congratulations to the 2011 AAC blue champs Campbell Memorial. With the win they share it with Girard. From what i was told by my brother this game was a good one but with the worst officiating he has seen since the old Campbell JFK games.

    Officiating was garbage. They looked like they had no clue what they were doing.

    Campbell Memorial wins an ugly game despite missing two starters. The Red Devils scored three defensive touchdowns in this game. The game was marred by several penalties on each side and an officiating crew that never seemed to be on the same page. Campbell needs to play better next week vs. Struthers, a game which will have an impact on where Campbell is seeded in the first round of the playoffs. I was very disappointed with such a poor turnout of Campbell fans.

    With this win and last weeks win Girard i would say yes. but the struthers game is for playoff position. But have to see what Joe E. comes up with.

    Let me tell you something Campbell Ohio, you are by far and i mean by far the worst supporters of your team I have ever seen and the student body is as pathetic as it gets. 300 people and maybe MAYBE 60 kids. For a shot at the AAC and thats what you bring?

    Ugly game. Officiating by far the worst I have ever seen in my life. No high school game should take 3hrs and 10 min to finish. They had no clue what they were doing. None!!

    Congratulation Devils on your second straight title. Defense played bend but dont break and had three big TD's of its own. Missing a couple players put the offense on its heals at times but it seemed like they drove the ball well and ran into their trouble in the red zone. Nonetheless, we overcame some ugliness and won a share of the title. Coach Sikora, I can only hope you and your staff are around for a long time. You deal well with adversity and its been awhile since we had that kind of a staff. I dont care what some of you on here say.....the man handles the disciplinary issues and handles them well. He stays patient. But still disciplines and gives these kids options to either follow rules or leave. Because he gives a second chance or work with a kid on a third chance does not make him weak or show he has favorites. The damn guy wants to give the kids a chance to learn from mistakes. Get off his case and realize that obviously after more than a decade he has kids wanting to play for him. It is NOT BECAUSE HE LETS THEM DO WHATEVER THEY WANT!!!!!!!! TELL ME WHAT TEAM EVER SUCCEEDS WHEN JUST A FEW DO WHATEVER THEY WANT. They dont folks. So save that crap for someone else that he allows a few to do whatever. If you can do better than what this staff has done in 4 years or so...please by all means put your butt in there and handle it. We are all anxious to see.

    Congrats Red Devils on sharing the Blue Tier Title. That is great!

    Now, as far as the playoffs are concerned, here is what I got for Region 17 after this week:

    4. Springfield Local=13.5389
    5. Campbell Memorial (with a Edgewood Win) = 13.2833, If Edgewood Lost, Garaway = 13.0167
    6. Garaway = 13.0167 (Edgewood Win), Edgewood Loss - Cuyahoga Heights = 12.9333
    7. Campbell Memorial = 12.7833 (Edgewood Loss), Cuyahoga Height = 12.9333 Edgewood Win
    8. Columbiana = 11.9611
    9. Southern = 11.8722

    Now, I dont have all of the scores for Barnesville and Ursuline made a nice jump. So the Struthers game is huge. Does anyone know if Edgewood won?

    Amen!! And i hope they stick around. Cause after this year who knows how they feel about staying.... All we can do is hope...

    Friday was not a very good night for the schools that Campbell Memorial has beaten. The only opponent Campbell beat this season to win last night was Girard. My hope is Campbell will remain at #4 this week. Springfield Local will definitely make a jump this week with its win over Columbiana. And Ursuline will make a big jump with their win over Mooney.

    Wait, actually Girard winning helped us so I guess no reason to even bring it up.

    Dean your right. I had seen a web sight that stated that Mineral Ridge and south range had won. the score were backwards. So yeah this is not good news.. but Girard won so that helps. But we it all depends how position 5 and 6 went last night.
