Thank you for that input. That was very insightful and helpful.

If past playoff games are any insight, big red better hope for an away game week 11

Wheeling Island stadium has been used before, is that closer than Phila?

(as strange as it sounds to hold an OHSAA playoff game in West Virginia, Dover did play a playoff game there against St. Clairsville)

You're right. I forgot about that happening in the past. That would be an option I guess. I was just curious. I don't know if it would ever come up or work out that way. I just know that some games get put in really goofy locations sometimes. Thank you

New Philadelphia would be a likely choice. Yes, a long haul for both teams, but Quaker Stadium has the seating capacity and, just as important, it has field turf. Steubenville has played their round two (or one?) game there as recently as a couple of years ago.
  • Darkon
St.C. now has turf but I don't know the seating capacity.

Away side, I give it a 4 on a scale of ten. Home side, I give it a seven. The field itself is very nice.

Salem and Steubenville had a second round game there in 2009

If IC gets in, its most likely we face Big Red week 11. Which means AT Harding Stadium.

We will wear our away jerseys... We don't want a stadium rental fee.
  • Brutus
IC will get jumped by marlington. IC is out dukes are in. my prediction

    Maybe... But we shall see.
  • Crimson and Gray Hair
IC and Marlington win out, Dukes pass IC.
Poland loses to Canfield and drops out and you both get in.
Neither of you play big red as they will drop too much after losing to the Tigers!:D

    There it is!

(on the other hand...mooney loses out and...I know, I know - but isn't it a little fun to picture!)

get in first, then plan on wearing away anyway. Why wouldn't you be the away team?

I know what you are referring to, just a poor attempt at a joke on your part. Here's a thought, raise some money and make some improvements and you won't need to use another school's excellent facilities if you had decent ones yourselves.

Did SOS get banned from the other sports site "OVathletics" for threatening to kill another poster if he meets him? He is starting to lose it on these chat sites, Threatening other people, talking about kids, he even wants to play Mooney in the first round so IC can show people just how good they are and then hopes to meet Big Red in the second round forcing people to respect them. I know the playoffs can be stressful for some people but he needs to just chill and enjoy the season Creek is having and then be happy if they make the playoffs and enjoy it, not stress over it.

If every message board threat was worth a grain of salt...graywolf wouldn't exist...and I saw him last night at church, he lives!
  • GRAYWOLF
I am what I am. I swear I had nothing to do with SOS. I was walking with God and pop eye.

    GO DOVER

O great, here we go again

Steubenville or Mooney. That pretty much sums up R11 this year, doesn't it? No need to walk with God, pray in church on Tuesday nights or anything else you guys do.

His latest threat was against me...but he makes them pretty much daily.

    He is a loose cannon.

They said it was a Big Red poster, but I haven't seen it yet. A couple of guys from work were telling me about it. I will be signing up on their site today so I can find it.

I'd like to see a first round match-up of Big Red vs. Mooney, and it looks possible.
