I've got a lot of players following my twitter updates and thoughts....let's just say kids need to think about what they're posting publicly. If I was a coach, that would be a topic I'd touch on every single week.

Get that logic out of here. The vendetta will only occur on the OC

Just heard a very reputable sports talk radio show host say this...."Remember to love your kids and like sports". He was referring to all the "knucklehead" (his word) fans who do nothing but berate coaches and players. Even if you don't have kids, you get the idea behind what he is saying. I have to believe that there are a good number of people on these forums that have that backwards.

I am not saying that coaches are not to blame but not ALL THE TIME. Do you really think that losing a game 42-0 is the fault of the coach? Now, I am not saying that it is the players fault either but everyone wanted to point the finger at the coach after the Waynedale-Smithville game. THEN, they wanted to say that kids no longer like playing for him because he demands too much from them. Then we talk about him kicking a kid out of the weight room because he doesn't play football. Think about what I just said there!!! Think about it!!! Nothing but attacks.

I could take it a lot easier (not really, ha!) if the Bears would have lost 24-21 to the Smithies and people would blame the coaching. However, it still boils down to the players executing. If you ever listen to the pro athletes talk after they have a coach/manager get fired or have one that is on the "hotseat", they will ALL say it still comes down to the players getting the job done.

The problem with these types of sites is that it empowers "Joe Schmo". It gives some people the false sense that they know what they are talking about.

There is no high blood pressure here...just a lot of common sense.

wcalfan;914260 wrote:Falcon...A lynch mob? That is EXACTLY what some of you do on these forums. THAT IS MY POINT!!!

I know many coaches and players as well, I am telling you right now SOME of the things that are said on here are not "healthy". I give Beast a lot of credit for deleting his post about the Smithville game because that was not an appropriate post. Maybe that isn't the reason why he deleted it but I can at least hope that was the reason. You REALLY believe that things that are said on here don't upset people? Maybe I am giving you guys too much credit but I know that things said on here spread like wildfire throughout the coaching ranks.

4Ringz...you are just validating my thoughts about these forums. If you consider this a distraction then why would you continue to be a source for that? Like I keep saying on here...even if coaches/players don't get on these forums there are still people that do and word spreads quickly.

The only point I am validating is there is a lot of information and opinions on the internet.

You are validating your point however. Your point is you have a personal vendetta against beast and are using this platform to further your agenda.

Just another internet punk trying to make his bones by knocking off a legend.

Legend??? Legend of what??? An internet public forum? OK...

No personal vendetta against Beast at all. Just a vendetta against people who need to know ALL the facts before they start spouting off...

Guys, if wcalfan is the same one I'm thinking of, then he was around JJ for awhile before the great diaspora from there.

By this statement, you would fall under that catagory.

A walking taco is some kind of food (I don't really know, I'm a chicken sammich fiend) served at Hillsdale concession stand. I was just doing my part to encourage a healthy Falcon revenue stream Friday evening.
BTW-diaspora.....good word. Kudos for working it in.

    Bobcat3-
I'll take Norwayne, you give me 7 1/2 pts? Sure!:)

    Bearider-
nice attempted backhand group putdown.....I have a sneaky feeling you read this thread more than "once in awhile". Also when your son and his friends are feeling sad for the posters on this thread. Please, Please, Please buy Kleenex tissues w/aloe to dry their tears. My 401k has alot of stock in Kimberly-Clark (owner of kleenex brand) and we sure could use the money.

    wcalfan-
Filibuster on, you can't make others think like you.

    Ringz-
I agree, personal vendetta. It's becoming painfully obvious. Also thanks for the insight on "RainPaul". I think I might be on the cusp of understanding.

Ya I agree. I know a lot of you are talking about the big one this week Hillsdale-Smithville (understandable) but I would love hear some comments in the battle of the Dogs and Huskies. With the improvements the Dogs have made throughout the season it would be great to get win #1 this week. The second half of the schedule for the Dogs is much better and if the Dogs could win atleast 3 it would give them good momentum and confidence going into next season.

Focus in Jewish religious history in college. Diaspora was a big deal. :D

I'll be having a walking taco Friday.

Actually, the 7 1/2 is refering to the number of TD's the bobcats will have in first half.....
  • O-Trap
7 1/2 TDs at the half? I'll go with under.

I wish Hillsdale - Smithville was covered by CPI so I could watch it Friday night after I watch My Bears put a cowbutt stalk on Norwayne....

7.5 TD's at the half???? Good Luck....get those speakers ready to play Hells Bells....

As for the Dogs vs the Dogs... Let me tell ya, a team with a Dog mascot will win!!! All jokes aside, with Dalton coming on strong and maturing as of late, this would be a good week to notch a win...On the flip side of things...Northwestern has played a pretty solid schedule, Crestview #8 D5R19, Black River #4 D4R13, Mogadore #7 D6R21, Norwayne #2 D4R13....and of course Chippewa....but those 1st 4 games should have NWN battle tested and ready for a level playing field. If the Huskies are healthy, I give COACH THUT the upper hand over the rookie and take Norwestern in this one.
