I don't remember a play where he took a shot.

He was playing receiver, slot position right side. Streak straight down, caught ball on a 15yd stick, leveled by safety from Triway...

Wish him the best. Hope he comes back next year better than ever

Why was he playing wr if he is your future franchise qb?

NWN Injury.........The loss of the soph QB is probably gonna be felt more on the defensive side as he played significant minutes last year at safety as a frosh. Bummer for the Huskies.

On the Bucyrus thing.....Hillsdale by 20.....still, a nice upgrade over going back to playing Lucas.

Go Falcons.....The resemblance to Braveheart is uncanny. How much does that friggin' bell weigh?

Beasty.....I ain't no Husky fan. Strongsville Mustangs Forever!!!!!!!

Ringz.....visited Fredricktown ayyy.....Scouting report? They have had some very tough teams the last couple of years. I think their coach has some kind of Dalton connection.

Red Rum.....Here's a word for ya.....Buffoon.....Look in the dictionary or mirror....either one will do.

Miyagi....Did you stop by last night? I ask because someone picked through my trash and the dog's pregnant.

    Is the NWN soph Noletti?

NWN top 4...way to go out on a branch...such a gambler!!!

Hate seeing anyone get hurt. Hope the young man doesn't get too down. At least he isn't a senior. Bummer still though. Here's to a speedy recovery.

That really sucks! He's such a great kid and an all around good athlete. My oldest played against him for 2 summers in the Wayne/Holmes Summer Baseball League. We scrimmaged aginst his frosh squad last year, and that class has some solid athletes all around.

The Stutz's from West Holmes hope for a speedy recovery and back on the field! Good luck kid

Thanks for the rundown, guys. Wish I could have made it. From the updates I got, it sounded the complete opposite of sydfl's comment that "Triway looked probably the most prepared tonight." But if that's the case, then I'm a happy man! But maybe that was just Ringz having high expectations. But hearing that after a slow start we started to meet his expectations, that's a good sign. I'm upset about missing Marty's chicken, too. Haha. I'll be at our Dalton scrimmage next Friday.

You are missing the chicken BBQ too? What on earth is coming between you and your Triwayness?

fredericktown's coach is Brian Baum - very good player for dalton in the early 90s.

Fairless had a good mix of run and pass in their first 10 plays and gained 49 yards. Fairless also went 100% out of the shotgun in their first series. In the 2nd set of plays, Dalton moved the ball much better once they went under center. You could tell they were more comfortable there. The plays developed much faster when under center (seeing Dalton in the shotgun with plays that were clunky and slow-developing was a shocker to me). In those 10 plays the Bulldogs moved the ball 48 yards. Fairless was stalling a bit then hit a big 40-yard pass down the sideline and scored on a 10yd pass a few plays later (the only score of the day).

All in all, I'm not really sure who "won". Both teams had times where their offenses stalled, and both showed bright spots and a few big plays, as well. Fairless hit the 1 big play which put them in the red zone while Dalton was more methodical moving the ball (once they went under center). Just a first scrimmage, so can't really take too much out of it. Fairless was definitely the team with more energy. Good luck to both squads this year! We scrimmage Dalton this Friday.
You hit the nail right on the head pitman

I gave you Rep on one of your posts over the weekend

I think it was the Norwayne fan who stoked this years annual "WCAL vs Orrville" exchange. He's probably a little gun shy. He got e-thugged pretty good.

When the Cats jump out to a 4-0 or 5-0 record, this thread will be crawlin' with cats.

1486-- What position did Brian Baum play?
  • THE4RINGZ
Yeah you have to have thick skin around this place if you are going to make predictions like that. Hopefully the Cats do have a great season, as the old saying goes, "the sun shines on every dogs a** once in a while."

Hope our DOGS have a good week in practice, we need to jell this week or we're going to be the nail..........

Actually, if I recall, the Norwayne fan just commented on some Orrville fans posts. Orrville got loose about a JJ thread that had the 2 paired in the playoffs. When the Orrvile fans ( of which I am one) got ahold of that they went wild. Some went as far as to say our freshman could beat Norwayne ( I strongly disagree). The Norwayne fan ( "bobcat" i believe) actually came back and said he actually never hears anything from the kids on the team. He claims there is 0 smack being talked in Creston. I do know several Norwayne guys and they aren't saying much. It's very low keyed. I called a couple of them last night to see what happened at Fridays scrimmage and they claimed not to know much. I'll pry a little more.
