Mr MiyagiMiyagi signing out till August, talk to you guys then,. Have a safe winter, Happy Holidays and all that jazz.
-
thedemoralizer7we can all jump off the norwayne bandwagon and get ready for the 2012 season. Should be way more competitive
-
oh yeah!!just would like to say thank you demoralizer for hating on norwayne all year I can not wait to hear what you have to say this winter and into next year. You have really shown your football knowledge and have let your hatred of the creston faithful obscure any type of football knowledge you may possses. I to do not like certain schools, but if they would earn something like those boys did this year I would give them some sort of credit. Just for the record I hope they do not let you on the bandwagon at any point in the future! Stay hatin thats the thing your best at!
Go Cats....Time to go back to work! -

when at any point in my posts have i backlashed norwayne? Sure i dont much care for them but i never posted anything to take away what they earned this year! they accomplished something most schools never have or will. and i was a neutral fan during the playoffs for norwayne if you would like to know and just because they made it to state doesnt mean i have to turn into a norwayne fan! and i believe that by not being a fan of norwayne has nothing to do with my knowledge of football!!oh yeah!!;1002424 wrote:just would like to say thank you demoralizer for hating on norwayne all year I can not wait to hear what you have to say this winter and into next year. Norwayne will be in the sun again next year. #1 Norwayne # 2 Northwestern but don't worry the Norwayne coaches and players will make the WCAL upgrade to become the Best League in ohio.1_beast;1000802 wrote:LOL Its actually a little disturbing for some of us!

Bloody ToothbrushA big Congrats to Norwayne!!!!
I really enjoyed reading the views of a few posters this year......but the vast majority of you sucked. I figure I lost a little over 3 hours of my life reading posts that both failed to entertain or inform me of anything interesting. Frankly, I'm a little bitter, I could have used that time to send inappropriate jokes to random penn state email addresses.
I would like to recognize a few people before I depart......
The 2011 Bloody Awards
Best Poster......Paul (everything he said........happened)
Biggest Troll.....Miyagi wins a highly contested race with Beast & Red Rum. The "pitmans gf's van joke" pushed him over the top.
Most Informative Poster.....OrrQB, a little long winded but he understands the game
The "Haterade Award"......Demoralizer, landslide victory. That dude hates Norwayne.....period.
and finally.....
The "Bloodys Best" Award............goes to Luckydog
Year in, year out, luckydog takes no crap, calls people out, gets in fights, and defends his Bulldogs. Bravo Sir.
Now that my awards have all been given out....I end my participation in this thread. -

Mr. RussellI'll still take Smithville to win the league next season, as I did this season, if they go to more of a spread next year. I understand that is a big if though.
-
beatobamaSmithies will need to learn to cover the spread first. Hopefully the secondary will improve over this season. They will also need a qb that can hit open receivers if they would like to run the spread. Don't see Smithies in the picture next season. Looks like a Bobcat repeat with Northwestern behind them.

I dont see the smithies in the top 3. they will lose 4 out of their 5 linemen. I know they got buss, shane, and bates, but who else do they really have that stuck out this year? The hilty boys and ian steiner will be a big loss also. i think 5-5 or 6-4 seems more in the picture for the smithies next season.Mr. Russell;1005703 wrote:I'll still take Smithville to win the league next season, as I did this season, if they go to more of a spread next year. oldsmithieSmithville has not had success running a spread type offense, Schrock tried a modified version a few years ago and it was a disaster! Smithville just needs to work on the passing game and get the Qb and recievers to some summer camps.
-
beatobamaI would rather see Smithies in some type of option game. A true read game to take some pressure of what will likely be a questionable "O" line next season.

Mr. RussellAlex is more than capable of throwing the football and I definitely agree on running some option.
Actually in the summer, Smithville did very well in their passing camps, with Loudonville's coach even stating that they were the best team they had seen all summer in 7 on 7's. When the season came, they just decided to run the ball and did so to a county championship. Also I didn't say a spread and gun it 30 times a game. Smithville ran the ball extremely well this year out of the shot gun, with Hilty and Shane besides the QB and Alex averaging 12.8 YPC in the WCAL, most of which were from the shotgun. It's more about spreading the field than going to a spread and throwing 30 times.
Also, when Smithville went spread a few years ago, it was to maximize out talent. We went 6-4 losing 2 games on the last drive and 3 of the 4 to playoff teams. If we wouldn't have went spread there was no way went 6-4, it would have been 3-7 or 4-6.
Obviously I am a Smithville "homer" but I think that I have a good feeling on the talent that is coming back next year.
This will be it for me posting on this thread. Great season and nice meeting some of you!
Also, I must say, my favorite part about these threads that continue after the season is long over, is that posters who maybe see a school play once or twice in a season claim to know everything about these teams, players, and coaches, over posters who have been there since summer workouts. Gotta love online chat sites. -
beatobama7 on 7 is much diffferent than with pads on and people in your face both throwing and catching. I would say the Smithies went to a running game this past season because their offensive strengths were the "O" line and Hilty and Steiner. The main reason the Smithies used the spread a couple season ago was the use of Orr as a receiver. Just don't see the spread as the Smithies go to "O" next season either.Mr. Russell;1005914 wrote:Alex is more than capable of throwing the football and I definitely agree on running some option.
