Hillsdale loses.
Portsmouth West beat Wheelersburg 40-14
Grandview Heights beat Liberty Union 20-17.
Looking good for the green.
The Schrock constellation is in the sky and the stars are aligned.
Hogger53;948813 wrote:Congrats to the Bobcats on the win, heck of a game tonight. Smithies should be in the playoffs, I wish them the best and hope they tear region19 up. I only wish my Falcons could be joining them. Best of luck to all the local teams next week. It'll be interesting to see how far the Bobcats and Smithies go....wishing them both the best!!!
Alright, time to put the in-conference hating aside. I hope everyone represents the county well come week 11! It's like a sibling. You pick on them, but you'll go toe-to-toe with anyone else who does.
And let me now say this with the purest of motives: BOBCATS STALK!
Bobcat;948824 wrote:First I would like to congratulate the Falcons on a great season. You are a class act. You have a great team.
Great crowd tonight. Thank you Bobcats for a great season so far. You kept plugging away tonight in spite of what has got to be the lousiest play calling I have ever seen in my life. Norwaynes offensive coordinator is a joke. All of the credit for this win goes to the players. I'll leave it at that
That offense played with a lot of guts, from the sound of it, and they won that game regardless of what was called. MUCH respect to the Norwayne team that beat a VERY, VERY good Falcons team tonight!
Like kissing your sister ... but you'll still take it.Go Falcons;948827 wrote:Congratulation to the Bobcats for playing a good game. They were the best team on the field tonight.
Congrats to both the Cats and Smithies for their share.
Congratulation to my Falcons for a great season and their second WCAL even if it is shared.
OQB;948858 wrote:The stars are aligning for the Smithies!
I saw Schrock with an astronomy book, trying to gauge his odds.
dhs22p;948876 wrote:Valley won and NY lost.
I was surprised that York came back and made it a game. They were losing 21-0 in the third. Ended up losing 24-21 in OT.
Red Rum;948883 wrote:Did Smithville make it to week 11? anybody know?
They did. Playing in Bucyrus ... the pit stain of Ohio! -

Let's hope the Smithies can make some noise in Bucyrus!
This is encouraging. These are the kinds of fans that teams should be proud to have.OQB;948953 wrote:Completely different atmosphere at Creston tonight. They earned my respect back tonight...see my post earlier about the courage the bobcat fans had to stand up and make a difference.
But OQB, they will forever be the D________s to me.
I've just gotta say, it's nice to see Smithville remembering what it means to play Smithville football, and what Smithville football means. Take pride in your team, boys. We're all incredibly proud of you. -

haha, be nice now
IF and that is a big if this is Coach Schrock's last year on the sidelines, it couldn't of gone any better. Another wcal title, another playoff birth, and 250 wins. He is the definition of Smithville Football and they have not only had a wonderful football coach, but an amazing man that has turned so many boys into men. -

I agree wholeheartedly, been some great things going on over here in the Ville. The plan is to keep it rolling. The two biggest contributing factors were; the inception of our youth league which has cultivated in our varsity squad over the last 3 to 4 years, and Coach Williams and his staff building a great program.OQB;948967 wrote:It's hard scheduling teams that are consistently playoff contenders....it is difficult to judge how the teams will be when you sign a contract 2-3 years in advance.... Last year they schedule Delphos who is in contention for the state championship every single year, and gave the falcons the experience to make that deep playoff run. It is what it is and I hope the Falcon players know they have nothing to be ashamed of and have really been a part of something special in Jeromesville. They have put Hillsdale football on the map and have have many things to be proud about. -
OQB
Youth football will do wonders in a struggling football program....Coach Williams I believe is the next "Schrock" imo. The things he has done to turn the falcons into a wcal contender every year is awesome and bodes well for the wcal. I am still flabbergasted at the numbers you guys have out for football....it puts Orrville to shame.Falcon;948979 wrote:I agree wholeheartedly, been some great things going on over here in the Ville. O-TrapThe Patriarch after the game. Yes, the team got him a "title belt" to put over his shoulder.
-
OQB^amazing pic!
I wish I would've gotten a picture of him after the game last week......it was very emotional for all involved and lots of hugs for the gipper. Very special moment for him having all his assistants and players show their love and appreciation towards their coach! -

Yes we have a lot of boys, I believe that it is the program that lures them. On another note, let me wish your Riders good luck in the playoffs!!OQB;948983 wrote:Youth football will do wonders in a struggling football program....Coach Williams I believe is the next "Schrock" imo. I went to two Hillsdale football games this year and have to say, very impressed with the program and school!Falcon;948986 wrote:Yes we have a lot of boys, I believe that it is the program that lures them. On another note, let me wish your Riders good luck in the playoffs!!
Thank you, but we have to focus on getting some kinks worked out tonight against Wooster so we are ready to go for the playoffs. -
OQBBack to the big game last night, When did Norwayne sign John Madden to be the PA guy? The man had to explain each and every play that happened....very annoying, you could tell he has watched too many football games with his wife.
-
O-TrapBetter than the guy at Chippewa, who you could tell really didn't want to be there.
At one point, he sighed into the microphone so loudly that the Smithville stands burst into laughter. -
was_that_itWell, just got back from drowning my sorrows. Congratulations Bobcats, excellent game, hard fought....really what high school football is all about. Wallace, his recievers, that one zimmerly brother.....STUDs. Norwayne was the better team tonite. Really wish this senior class from Hillsdale could try their hand at the playoffs, seeing all their contributions the last 2 postseasons. Best of luck to Norwayne and Smithville in the playoffs. I will be pulling for you all the way. WCAL football!!!! Go Falcons.

Red Rum wimped out....something about family time important, getting to old for this kind of stuff, Bloody is an idiot for writing his plans on the OC, not healthy Blah Blah Blah....
What game is every one going to next week ? -
OQBSmithville game Friday
Orrville game Saturday -
Mr MiyagiAnd Beastie won the 50/50 ? Guess he is buying next week.....
Something sounds fishy....tells about family health issues, goes to the game ....wins 50/50.....is that how it works in the apple creek ? cant you just hold a spaghetti dinner or something ? -
O-TrapSmithville game Friday. Hopefully Norwayne Saturday (no offense to the Orrville brethren, but I've gotta represent the conference first).
Hopefully, the grinding schedules have them prepared. Good luck to the Smithies, Cats, and Riders! I think the rest of Ohio needs a refresher course on how dangerous those boys from Wayne County can be! -

oldsmithieI am up early and have to say WOW what a week number 10! Congrats to Hillsdale, Norwayne and my Smithies!!!!! I was at the Chippewa game and O-Trap that sigh was hysterical!! I am soooo HAPPY that all the stars aligned! Earlier this week I saw a projection and it said Smithville had a 20% chance of making the playoffs!! Hahahahah! I have to say it does not feel right that the Falcons at 9-1 are not in!! It has been an icredible ride for the Smithville faithful and hopefully the Smithies and the Bobcats will make the WCAL proud!
-
JJ68I have to give those Chippewa kids credit for even showing up. Losing 10 Games in one season is harsh. I thank god everyday I had the opportunity to play for the Green and White and not any other school.
I feel bad for Hillsdale, but that's how the ball rolls sometimes. I give them a lot of credit though. 8 years ago that program was where the Chippewa is now. It's amazing how far they have came.
Norwayne is another team I give credit to. They've always been hard hitters, but were never able to win the big games. It's good to see them finally get succeed.
Really glad to see Smithville back at the top and heading to the playoffs. I really do believe this will be Coach Schrocks last year so I hope they can send him off with his first state championship. -
Havin FunCongrats to the three WCAL champions. Feel really bad for the Falcons. No way they should be home in week 11. They would rip Ridgewood a new one if given the chance.
-
Jmar25can someone explain why nelsonville is ahead of grandview? second level points? tiebreaker?
-
dontcareI believe the College of Wooster was at the Norwayne game last night watching Wallace.
