outdoorsman_121If so, Im sure all games will be played in Steubenville.

september63Easy there fellas, I just asked if anyone else had heard this? We cant all bash NP every year for a weak non-conference schedule and not give them credit if they are trying to set up this game.

Ive heard a home/home for 2 years. BTW, Quaker Stadium is, at the least, equeal to Harding Stadium as far as quality.outdoorsman_121 wrote: If so, Im sure all games will be played in Steubenville. -
Strapping Young LadBig Red would never fit on their away side, so i would hope it is played in the Ville....Eh, maybe for a reg. season game, but what about all the Dover fans who would skip their game to come see this one.....Where would they sit???

september63Big Red's away side isnt exactly worthy of much more than a JV game, either!!
-
GoChiefsTotally agree September..nothing wrong at all with New Philly wanting this game..they may just be trying to shut up everyone that says they play nobody..but I believe they are jumping WAY over there heads on this one. But yes..I have heard about this happening..and I also heard it was close to being a done deal..didn't hear any details on where it would be played or anything..but also agree with you on Harding Stadium..very nice facility they have down there.
-
Strapping Young LadI love that stadium, I just feel bad for all the Big Red fans who will miss the game cuz they have to stand and won't be able to see, then all the Dover fans who won't be able to get a seat....
I hope thay at least put some hand sanitizer in their port-a-potties....
I'd love to see this game happen. It's so much more fun playing local teams then these out of staters....
Props to NP for taking on this challenge, if true.....Hopefully more locals will follow their lead. -
J-DoverI will be cheering for NP for once! :-0

J-DoverFor some reason I just can't like Big Red. Don't know why, think it started in ooooooh '06

september63Jimmy, ur telling ur age. I played and lost to Big Red at Harding Stadium in 1982. We lost 7-6. I talk alot of trash but that is one hell of a program. Some schools have great teams. Big Red, and on a smaller level Dover, have great programs each and every year.

Why would you think that? In recent years, we have played home-home with East Liverpool, Wheeling Park (WV), Massillon, Poland, Beaver Local, Columbus Watterson, Canton Central Catholic, Richmond Edison, Youngstown Ursuline, Akron SVSM, Zanesville, Niles McKinley, Brooke (WV)....outdoorsman_121 wrote: If so, Im sure all games will be played in Steubenville.
Why would New Phila be any different? For the record, I haven't heard anything about this possible matchup, but I hope it is true. I really enjoyed their stadium in the playoffs. -

New Philly WOULD BE STUPID if they do not get a home game in this. There stadium is very nice.outdoorsman_121 wrote: If so, Im sure all games will be played in Steubenville. -
DthaneRefresh, I know I have been to Cartwright (sp) but it was for a scrimmage, have we ever played an actual game there? NP would be nice, but Dover would be better I would think, or both. NP can not be as small as Poland. We'd be ok at NP, just not as many fans would go. Plus, they have time to find a way to expand a little between now and then, from the sounds of it the Dover-NP game has SRO also.

Pescara71I liked NP stadium, very nice stadium and town.

Don't pay any attention to that nonsense. If there is any truth to these rumors, I would bet that one of the main reasons for the game is New Philly's excellent stadium and field turf. If we went to Poland and East Liverpool this past year, I think we could make due with New Philly's (excellent) stadium.newarkcatholicfan wrote:
