Ever been in their locker room? This post is a FAIL FAIL FAIL.Josh wrote: New Philly has the nicest stadium outside of Harding and PBTS. -
Strapping Young LadHow old is the stadium??? It looks very new....Did they build onto an existing stadium? Or what???
-
snyds113The surrounding area, the park and the atmospere of the area is really nice at NP.

They added the field turf, video scoreboard, replaced visitor and home side stands and renovated the press box and maybe added to the home side in the last 10 years. Oh and renamed it Woody Hayes Quaker Stadium...replaced the Quaker Oats guy on the outside of the visitors press box with the flying NPStrapping Young Lad wrote: How old is the stadium??? unclestinkMy sources tell me that there has not been any discussions between the two schools.
-
Strapping Young LadWhere they'd come into all that cash????
-
september63By renaming it Woody Hayes Quaker Stadium. They went out and solicited some of the $$$ from distinguished OSO alumni that played for Woody!! Their Booster Club did raise alot, too though.

QUAKERBACKER
fundraising, fundraising fundraising.. when the score board is paid for we are building another large restroom on the east side of the stadium to the left of the fieldhouse.. also what dover fan can talk about locker rooms.. your visiting locker room isnt anything special either.. i guess we could paint it pink like iowa does.. that could make it better..Strapping Young Lad wrote: Where they'd come into all that cash???? -
september63I am a Dover fan that gave nothing but praise to that stadium. Ive never mentioned visitors lockerooms. I defended that stadium when Big Red fans said it wasnt worthy of them playing there. But alot of the fundraising WAS former Buckeyes associated with Woody Hayes.
-
Strapping Young LadNo one said it wasn't worth playing there. We wanted to know where the Dover fans would fit.
-
september63Why would we want to go see you play them? We'd have a game of our own. If it were a Thurs or Sat, then I might go.
-
Strapping Young LadDon't lie. You can't stay away when the Big Red is right in your back yard.
I skip Big Red games if they're playing some cupcake and there's a good game close by. Especially if it's someone in our region and I want to see em before the playoffs. -
Crimson and Gray Hair
But remember, it's pretty tidy around Quaker Stadium so there is no ready supply of the requisite broken concrete block available for throwing at your opponents fans or band members.september63 wrote:
Ive heard a home/home for 2 years. BTW, Quaker Stadium is, at the least, equeal to Harding Stadium as far as quality.outdoorsman_121 wrote: If so, Im sure all games will be played in Steubenville. -
zhon44622Interesting fact - New Phila once beat Steuby 126-0

DthaneI'd be fine with NP, but 4th best stadium? Josh? It's not bad when you are on the home side, but you might want to hold that thought until we sit on the V side. Sam, if NP is so bad, my boss tells me that they actually were pretty good when they played Indian Creek. Not sure how many times or what the results were, but he was impressed.
I'd give it a top 20, with the band shell a firm #1, but I am not sure it cracks the top ten. Maybe from looks, but not sure about total. Sounds like a good off season thread. -

i hope that statement was a joke!! our away side nothing better than for a junior high game?? are you f'n serious?? i don't recall 2 to 3 thousand people ever having to stand at harding stadium for a game unlike the new philly stadium that they stuck us in this year!!!september63 wrote: Big Red's away side isnt exactly worthy of much more than a JV game, either!! -

smoked may be the biggest under statement ever posted!!wes_mantooth wrote: I really hope this is true. I know Philly will probably get smoked, but they need to beef up their schedule a lot. Not to mention, travelwise, it won't be bad for either team. -
bigredintorontonew philly's stadium is a good facility..... for a division 4 school!!! please.... comparing that thing to harding stadium... you must be on some serious stuff!!!!! harding is only behind paul brown and faucett as the best in ohio... period!!!! i don't give a damn if you named it after a former buckeye coach or not... in fact, what the hell does that have to do with anything?? maybe you should have put a few more seats in before making comparisons with harding stadium.... yes, bigredintoronto is back in full force!!!!

Harding stadium would improve alot if they put faculty and administration on the home side where they belong. Only stadium I've ever been to that does this. Why is it done in the first place? They take up the best seats on the visitors side. Wrong, wrong, wrong.bigredintoronto wrote:

Dr. Ray StantzNP's stadium is a top notch facility, you people crack me up. IMO this game won't happen, NP AD doesn't have the grapefruits to schedule Steubenville.

Dover and NP must have the same A.D.?Dr. Ray Stantz wrote: NP's stadium is a top notch facility, you people crack me up. IMO this game won't happen, NP AD doesn't have the grapefruits to schedule Steubenville. -
Strapping Young LadHe shouldn't be afraid to sched Big Red...It's not like Reno will let it get embarrassing. Buck up, NP. I'd enjoy this game.

Al CaponeBigredintoronto finely made it.
