DRF, you'll get used to him after awhile and just not respond.

I think its always interesting to hear what ignorance one can add to the ignorance already shared.

On other news congrats to Drew and Mason for Special teams and defensive POY respectively and Stew Dylan L Trevor W Trevor S Cody W Alex S Kyle L Dakota H Wally W Brandon J Zane V Ronnie L Nick G for their All-OCC honors this year great to see Orrville come away with some many recipients
  • RedRider1
Trevor S was a well-deserved 1st team selection...a lot of times the sophomore gets overlooked...but he earned that honor.

The next LB waiting in the wings? Perhaps.

he does deserve it as well as all the others. The one selection I was happy to see was Zane Vierheller I don't know if it was for offense or defense but for being an undersized lineman on both sides he plays extremely well and plays to his strengths well deserved

Big Rider fan here!! Can't wait for Saturday night.
Perhaps this has already been addressed somewhere, though I looked on a couple different threads.
Why didn't Tyrone White (#22) dress this past Saturday, and will he be available against Norwayne?
He does a pretty good job on defense and has nice height. It would be nice to have all hands on deck.
    GO RIDERS!!

Congrats for a great season boys!

    Thanks for that quick reply.
One other question, does anyone know for sure, what time will the gates open? Presuming an hour before kickoff, perhaps earlier??

    GO RIDERS

I have been thinking the same exact thing.....

    Hoobler/Monheim 2009
    Monheim/Davis 2010/2011
    Summers/Zook 2012?

SHould be 6, but I am sure a line will be forming before that just to get in.....better safe than sorry, get there early! haha

Anyone else think a certain LB coach and HOF inductee named Jason Haley have anything to do with that? I do! We are blessed here.

He is a great coach, as is the entire staff. I loved playing for them!
  • rrfan
5knots you stole my thunder but yes Haley is a huge reason why we have become line backer rich. We do have a history of greats but the run we have had lately is fantastic. Also agree that the next one is on its way with Summers. I had that conversation on Saturday and we talked about his running partner Zook. What a great week of high school football talk is underway. Go Riders!

Some folks forget we were without Zook for a good part of the year with the collar bone. His speed approaches that of Turner. And that is a ton of speed. And he is one of our OLB's! The outside with Dillon and Zook gives us weapons and speed and ferocious hitters out there.

Summers is very impressive and only a soph!! Like Zook he has a very bright future.

How about those frosh RB's Saturday night? cupboard is not bare here by any means.
  • rrfan
I was very impressed with the frosh that played on Saturday. Our cupboard is never bare. That is the great thing about Orrville kids always step up. Look what that does for your team in practice. Our reserves are pushing hard all day everyday and that makes everyone better.

Anyone have a score prediction they'd like two share? I personally have two and the score can be flipped to favor either team but mine are 21-14 Orrville or 35-28 Orrville I say both because it's gonma depends on how our offense plays cause I have no worries about our defense

    I second that!:D

He loves coaching, but he has two children that are coming up through the school system and his coaching days are numbered according to him. I hope he decides to keep coaching!
  • 5knots
I think his kids would miss it as much as he does!

We have a had a few LB's prior to the recent years here but without a doubt Jason has done an excellent job and is a huge reason for the success.

The LB's have been more than just a few! No doubt the last couple of years have been very good. But let's give props to all of the outstanding LB's and coaches we have had. I have seen a lot and I have been around from the late 70's to the present. Go Riders!

    Few being a relative term.

As far as this version of the Red Riders are concerned I would love to see some big hits starting on the kickoff. We need to lay some lumber on these guys early and often.
  • RedRider1
Remember how we laid the wood to Genoa back in '09? We brought it that game. Something about the big stage and a big game that brings out our swagger...and included free of charge is lots of physical football.
  • Riderfan17
We need to play like that Saturday the past two years against genoa were probably our best games
  • RedRider1
Per the students...this Saturday is a "blackout" for Orrville fans..they want to see everyone in black.
