It looks like Coach Haley brewing up something special for that Ashland offense!OQB;922606 wrote:We got the point you were making RR1, others are here to do one thing....

RiderwannabeCan the Off. lead this team one weekend and not the Def....A short field for the Rider D all night will not be good.

Hopefully it's consistency ! (for the Arrow offense)Old Rider;922857 wrote:It looks like Coach Haley brewing up something special for that Ashland offense! -

I'm assuming you mean consistency for the Arrow offense, because our defense has been pretty consistent since the day coach Haley took over this defense!you think you know;923307 wrote:Hopefully it's consistency !
I just want to see some Red Rider offensive consistency! -

Correct! -

Rush two drop 9, just a thought.Old Rider;922857 wrote:It looks like Coach Haley brewing up something special for that Ashland offense! -
Red Rider81we should be able to pass on the arrows, here's hoping kyle gets protection and has a big night.

5knots^^And let's hope if Kyle sees 5 yards in front of him he takes off running. That aspect of his game could be the last compliment to our offense that gives a good team fits. Speed and size at Wide outs, aggressive running game, and if you focus on those two, a QB who can do damage with his legs. I would like to see him do this 3-4 times a game instead of that long ball if it isn't there. Of course, you could argue with athletes like Turner and Brenner, the long ball is always there!
-
OQBIt all starts with confidence with Kyle.....if we can run early and use the run game to set up the pass we will be in good shape.
If memory serves me correct, Ashland used the quick pass game last year to move the ball on us. We couldn't get pressure on the QB because he got the snap and the ball was out of his hands a second later. I'm not sure what they are doing this year, but I am thinking more like Riders81 of dropping a lot of guys and force them to run the ball on us, because we all know we can stop the run. -
OQB
exactly, you see this at every level....a QB that can see nothing is there, a bad play turns into a great play because we are still gaining yards with him using his feet.5knots;923729 wrote:^^And let's hope if Kyle sees 5 yards in front of him he takes off running. RedRider1Didn't Clear Fork use that 'drop 9' tactic last year and they won? I gotta think we cam do that too. Rush 2, spy 1 on QB/RB and drop 8.

CCRollyWatch the QB-Draw. Killed the Wooster defense almost as much as the Defensive Coordinator does on a daily basis.

As far as the Rider defense I think Coash Haley will dial something up for Friday and if he can find a way to their QB..we will take advantage, but we can't give Ashland a short field 3 or 4 times and expect our defense to get a stop. That puts too much pressure on them. -

The Riders should be able to do what ever they want because Ashland is Small, Slow and Nonathletic, we are only 2-4 and give up an average of 31.7 points a game5knots;923729 wrote:^^And let's hope if Kyle sees 5 yards in front of him he takes off running. I relocated! My 2 older sons were in 5th and 4th grades and my youngest was 1 yr. old. They participated in football and basketball at the OABGC, OJH and to some extent OHS.62_80_47_Woo;922439 wrote:Series, you say your boys played for the RED RIDERS! Did you and your family transfer in, or were they "Hometown" meaning have they attended Orrville from grade school on up? -

I didn't miss your point. Something bad certainly can happen in any event of life, however, I would hope that character building began at home long before football. But alas, this is Orrville, and I've heard it said that "you aren't anything if you don't play football", and I continue to "hear it" from some of you.RedRider1;922454 wrote:Completely missed my point.
There's chance of something bad happening in just about everything we do...but that's not a reason not to do something. It's not the destination, it's the journey. Matt will get to move forward in life knowing he gave it his all. I think it's quite a character builder that will drive him as he grows. -

I've never called myself an "Orrville guy", I was a fan, anymore, not so much. And, I like Orrville and I live in Orrville, but Orrville does not "live" in me.Red Rider Nation;905087 wrote: ....Dont insult our town, our program, and most importantly our tradition!!!

Red Rider NationIm good with all the schemes on defense you guys mentioned but if you put 2 in the box this QB will hurt you with his legs. He will run all night. That is the Ashland running game. They will take what Orrville gives them, good teams and good coaches do that!
