Apparently that's all you think about!

Just found this online at Ohio.com:

Orrville junior LB Mason Monheim took an unofficial visit to Ohio State on Dec. 17, according to Orrville coach Doug Davault. Monheim, who has an offer from Illinois, is one of Ohio’s top players in the 2012 class.

He has also taken unofficial visits that included Nebraska and Michigan.

Those are some big time programs, congrats to 5k and Mason!

great great article on the blog RedRider1 on the RED RIDER history!
  • RedRider1
thanks 5k....was very interesting researching. So thankful for a good library.

Heard that the Oregon Ducks are interested in a certain Red Rider that wears #25...5k, any insight to this?
  • RedRider1
    ^^Huh???

Looks like it's time for some RR1 investigative reporting for the blog.
  • Old Rider
That news was passed to me from a certain coach. I guess another coach on staff has a friend that is a grad asst. at The University of Oregon and thus your connection. It is a small world remember.

Tough to say? " Interested in" means different things for different folks. eg letters in the mail.... to me doesn't show much interest, but calling and requesting some film shows a little more interest.......doing that more than once a little more yet.....coming to the school helps....and wanting to get you on their grounds where they can talk freely with a junior even more. That being said Oregon...somewhere in that mess. with as much Big Ten interest and success of the storied programs in the Big Ten over the years...I would say it is a pretty safe bet #25 is going to end up at one of them. Which one depends a lot on what needs a particular school has, unless you are a 5 star blue chipper and they want you no matter what. Does that help?

You forgot to end your post by calling him a "bee-atch"! :-

I know the attention has been on Mason when we talk about recruiting, but is their anyone else getting looked at?

    Brenner
    Turner

that would be a very safe assumption. I think both have DI possibility. depends on the.... work put in = results come out .....equation.

Just heard the news today that Coach Bo Pelini himself will be in town tomorrow.....
  • RedRider1
    Good reading......

    Hope everyone is doing good.

About 219 days until the first regular season home game.
  • CCRolly
So what your saying is only 220 more days until I question why Wooster didn't make a coaching change again?

www.keepMcCreary.com. (Don't click on the link. It's just a joke)
  • Old Rider
CC...you mean you are going to "wait" to question that subject...no need to wait just "continue" the conversation.

5k...that is good to hear. I am one Red Rider fan hoping he ends up just south of here at that Big10 school...best wishes through the entire process!

After what was turning out to be a "light " year for LB's in OSU 2011 recruiting class that has all changed in the past couple weeks......this is a large class (23) compared to what is available next year (16) and there may be as many as 5 LB's by the time it is said and done. some question that move by the buckeyes and some say that they will not pass up a stellar athlete just because they play similar positions? whatever the reason.....it may not be a great sign for #25. On the other hand......that "other" school up north is in the complete opposite situation. Dang!
  • Mr. Russell
Did you see who the Wolverines hired as their d-coordinator yesterday? What a great opportunity that would be for a linebacker!
  • 5knots
I had not seen that! Wow! Ravens D Coordinator coming back to shore up his Wolverines. Arguably one of the best defensive minds in football. Dang it!
