Never said that, but you assumed it. lol Publics would compete better against privates if they were also allowed to recruit (cheat). No separate conference would be needed. Let's say...a more level playing field?
  
  Also, it's funny how YOU mention recruiting violations against Hartley and Kettering Alter. Did I say they have violations? Better re-read. It's not nice to assume. Or do you know something we don't? (wink, wink) I have nothing against Catholics just the way Catholic football plays the system. Here's a big smooottttccccchhhh! From now on I'll try to BE Nice.

  Actually, "be nice" you did say Hartley cheats, and there it is right above - in quotes - by you - to help jog your memory. It's unfortunate that you get so cynical and sarcastic and rely on your prejudgments of any and all involved in Catholic school athletic programs/schools, because your potential arguments are lost in the fog it creates.   Known violations, known violations at least not yet. Re-read my last post on the previous page or can you even comprehend what it says? Just my opinion and others from HS coaches to administrators, players and fans. Sorry, but that's how most of us feel.

  Be Nice has no clue what he is talking about yeah EC got caught recruiting so...This thread is about the Kettering Alter and Hartley game not about recruiting if you want to complain about recruiting why dont you just start your own thread about it besides giving these fine young gentlemen a hard time and telling them they recruit which they dont and I can tell you that Private Schools recruit there feeder schools but they have to recruit everyone not just one specific person

  It's great that "most" have made you their spokesperson, Be Nice. Your doin' a bag-up job making their case for them. And no, my husband doesn't coach the team. I grew up in the neighborhood where Hartley is located and have seen the impact the school has made on the ENTIRE eastside community by which it is surrounded. Hartley's feeder schools have dwindled to nearly nothing because of suburban flight and yet, somehow, Hartley has risen out of the ashes of urban decay to become a gem of the eastside. I have professional experience with the public schools in the same neighborhood, and they are inadequate at best. If a kid is afforded a chance to gain access to a better school through sports, then good for him/her. You may have a legitimate argument to make, but you are losing it when you insist on lumping every Catholic school in your little box labeled "cheaters" . And as far as your feelings on the next game for Hartley - that would be the State Championship, right? - I guess you won't be attending? Smooch back at ya.

  Wouldn't go if I had a free ticket, free gasoline for the car, free hotel room and meals paid for. Will I be watching on TV. No. Football season at the HS level is over with for me. Seriously, have a safe trip up there if you go. See ya' next year. Time to move on to basketball.

  Wow - you are right, CenterBHSFan. That last post of mine was classless -and I should know better. I got sucked down into the muck. I'm sorry, Be Nice. You were, well.... trying to ....be nice. I'll end by saying to you, Be Nice, that I hope YOUR favorite high school teams and their fine young members have as much success in their current and future endeavors both on and off the fields/courts as mine are/will. Enjoy your upcoming basketball season.
