5knotsThat's it! I have decided to leave tonight....plan on buying a "Long Shoreman" sweatshirt and cap and just get in line for the free breakfast/lunch program the school offers....they will never notice. I think I will put my blanket on the bleachers at the 50 yard line tonight and just sleep there.....And if I have to "go" ....well...let's just say If I were sitting on the Genoa side I would steer clear of any chair back seat with a wet spot on it!

...and don't forget the real reason they want to be there at 1pm....booze...and plenty of it.
So buhrdog wont be the only one calling off tomorrow....not going to be a very productive day in Ottawa county.
I wish I still live in Ohio...My drive will be more like 8 hours. I coming from Knoxville, TN. -

Good reads...but this made me laugh...
Don't listen to their fans and let it get in our heads.
Yeah...because Orrville's fans are so mouthy. Please, we're terribly quiet until kickoff time. We let our kids do the talking on the field.
We weren't the ones hounding kids as they stepped off the bus last year, either. -

Nah. The game isn't played on here. I'm not biting. Nothing but respect for Orrville from me. They deserve it.THE4RINGZ;564010 wrote:Finally RR1 steps up, this thread was becoming too much of a love fest. This is Orrville v. Genoa people. Bring it strong!!!!! -

It is going to be a good game...this is starting to become a rival. Too bad they didn't play in the regular season. -

buhrdogOberhaus...you taking pictures again?

5knotsDang Comet! No fun at all. We'll get you to bite before the weeks over. haha.
Here is a topic for discussion: the rule reads on the "trick" play that EC ran where the kid acted like he was leaving the field and then stopped by the edge....."it is an infarction if there was intent to deceive" Huh. doesn't every play have some " intent to deceive" ? I did not read the rule but I am sure it refers specifically to a situation where the player is "leaving the field of play". In any event somebody from EC better have gone to confession over that one! -

I appreciate hearing that Genoa is different this year than last year, would like to think we had a lot to do with that....but don't buy for a second that "revenge" isn't being discussed inside that locker room. They think...no...they KNOW that they simply ran out of time last year, and that their own mistakes (which we had no hand in if you ask anyone from Genoa) cost them the game. They STILL don't think they should have lost that game....and I don't care what they say...this is about righting a perceived "wrong" in their eyes. -
oberhausYep. I will be on the sideline. Look for my avatar on the back of a blue jacket.

Good football teams wreak havoc and cause mistakes. This Comet knows the difference and I'm sure the coaches do as well.RedRider1;564042 wrote:I appreciate hearing that Genoa is different this year than last year, would like to think we had a lot to do with that....but don't buy for a second that "revenge" isn't being discussed inside that locker room. If one is motivated by revenge, to the Dark Side they will go... -
62_80_47_WooI would like to thank the pig or pigs that gave up their lives to be part of this game Friday night. With out them we'd be cheering on the grass fairies .

buhrdogRR1 you are right...they can say all the right things but revenge is on their minds. This is a completely different team than last year. They are young but level headed. They are more workman like. They are fundamentally sound. This year is more credit to Vicars. Last year he had the athletes and they were just that much better. Then when they faced someone as athletic as Orrville, they found themselves in a fight. It wasn't until the second half that they realize they had to play the way Vicars wanted. Like I said earlier...I don't see this as a tail of 2 halves, but more like a back and forth battle. To quote Braylon Edwards..."Bring your popcorn"
-
5knotsI thought Braylon Edwards said "Get the F out outa my way afore I pull out my nine and bust a cap in your A.......aight!"

A little less bravado & out-and-out cockiness will hopefully do them good. Two playoff wins against very good teams will do even more. -
Dare668Huh was planning on leaving Genoa around 4-5ish .... now I think that would make me late for the pregame...........decisions decisions
-
oberhausI gotta find out if they have press parking....

Well, Genoa has a fan in Temperance too cuz I work for/with the district. I'll be going to the game. If the guy coming from TN doesn't make the trip, then I'll be making the longest commute for this game! Go me!bwcomet89;563820 wrote:CalPreps has been spot on in a few games this year, and not even in the ball park of others. It's all mathematics, so when you use math to predict the future, expect some outliers. If anyone from Orrville wants to meet me before, during, or after the game, just look for the tallest Genoa fan you can find. That's me. Also if you Orrville fans would like to know, you have a huge fan in Temperance, MI. He's been rooting against Genoa every week because I keep calling off on his ass!
P.S.- OrrvilleQB, judging by the number of your posts on this thread, feel free to go outside every once in a while. The sun will do you some good. -
5knotsYeah, press lot is about 2 miles due North of the stadium. Boat named "Walleye Bill" will shuttle you in. Seriously....not many spots for dignitaries at all. Add to that the Drama play going on in the School, either get there early or park in one of the shuttle lots.
And by the way, they shuttle lot thing Avon Lake does for every game all year so they should know what they are doing.
