PS...your very last sentence made no sense. Even our company here at the house can't figure out what you're saying.
What did I say?!?!?! LOL. I agree with you Nice! We should disband all the Privates, and mASSillon while we are at it! They cheat more than the Privates!! How many times have they been caught with their hand in the cookie jar now? 3, 4 times? Pitiful. All that, and they STILL cant win ONE on the Field!! -

End of LineLinsly School in Wheeling W.Va. has NOT been a military acedemy for at least 25 years. it was an all boys prep school for a few years and has been a co-ed institution ever since. their biggest football star in recent memory was Eddie Drummond who was from the Pittsburgh area i believe.

Big Al Carter actually DOES call it the way he sees it....Unfortunately he usually sees it wrong.
I'm beginning to see a trend with you also Be Nice. -
Be Nice^^^trend? no, just the facts. Sorry to hurt your feelings.

They introduced girls not too long back . They are a prep school . They cannot participate in the WVA playoffs because they get kids from PA and Ohio . Do you see the irony in this . The kids that go to this school must pass an entrance exam and this school is entirly pro academics . Now I say let them participate in the state playoffs. Catholic schools mask people who come to thyre school just for football all, the time especially in Ohio but Wheeling Central gets kids all over . The hypocracy and double standards are overwhelming. We need two playoff systems or we need to allow an open recruitment policy for publics as well . dont you guys think that if Massillon had to play by the same rules as Mooney ,they would be winning titles like Iggy does . everybody rips them for not winning it on the field but they are under a huge microscope and when they do do something wrong it is brought to everybodies attention. they might get a few kids in from other districts but it like public knowledge . Those certain private schools that we all love get many ,many kids from all over for football . They have a free licsense to recruit . Publics dont. We attack each other . We need to pull together and attaqck the real problem and that is the private schools . -

It's only a 'real' problem to those who want an easier route to the State Championship. -

Yeah, and those people who complain about their opponents taking steroids just want an easier route also. Let's let kids compete despite the fact that they haven't gotten a grade higher than an F since the 4th grade. -

Massillon's last two prominent quarterbacks: Justin Zwick (transferred from Orrville) and Kyle Kempt (transferred from Oregon). Name the last Catholic school to get a kid from more than one state over.
By the way, if you want to talk about open enrollment, take a look at Brookhaven's 2004 state championship team. They basically raided the entire Columbus City League to put together an all-star team, yet no one calls them on it. Let's talk about Glenville getting a fresh crop of kids year in and year out from Benedictine, Ignatius, St. Ed's, and University School...all going to pursue the rigorous academics at the powerhouse that is Glenville. -
DoverI ask this in the stubby thread and then realized this one was more appropriate.
How do the open enrollment rules work when it comes to crossing state lines?
If it's allowed is there "tuition" or compensation to the district?
If it's not allowed, what is required to make one eligible as a resident of Ohio? -

Matt Martin was not prominent? Bobby Huth? Robert Partridge? All of these Massillon boys led the Tigers to a state semi final appearance, with Huth leading the Tigers to the state title game.
Furthermore, He is right, getting a kid here and there is not "stocking up" on talent....Like the Parochials do. -

Funny that you totally ignored Brookhaven even after I brought it up, and no, none of those guys you mentioned are "prominent" in the sense that no one outside of a small area was familiar with them. Former AHL defenseman Matt Martin is more known to people across America than former Massillon quarterback Matt Martin is.
I live down in central Ohio, and in any given year you can count on one hand the TOTAL number of transfers into the CCL schools, and even then there's cases of someone who was in the Catholic middle schools who went to a public school in 9th or 10th grade. The only schools that see these huge influxes of talent within a particular year are Glenville and whichever Columbus City League school happens to be on top at the moment. The idea that Catholic schools are adding between 5 and 20 top-level players on an annual basis is absolutely absurd. -
skankI guess I see your point, because everyone knows Kyle Kempt is more known to the American public than AHL defenseman Matt Martin, (sarcasm). And 90% of the time, when people talk about parochials, they are talking about either the big boys in Cleve or Cincy....or the smaller guys in the Y'town area....THOSE are the ones who have seemingly perfected the recr....er, I mean, advancement of young men due to a religious education idea.

FairwoodKingSteubenville plays more Catholic schools than any other public school in Ohio, and yet we do the least amount of complaining about recruiting. Over the past six years, we are something like 30-4 against privates and we have beaten Mooney, Ursuline, Alter, SVSM, and DeSales at least once during that span. Instead of accusing them of something that is probably not true, we just do our best to beat them.

That's very sweet FK, but try playing teams with the "parochial advantage", that have twice the amount of boys you do. -

They are letting them use 22 players? No wonder you have never won a championship. -

What does that have to do with anything? The last time Ursuline (Div. V) played your boys from Massillon, Ursuline won. -

Hence the "parochial advantage". I could talk slower for you, but I can't type slower, so I don't know what to tell you.
