Clear Fork 7-1 (5-0) @ Orrville 6-2 (4-1)

OQBLet's get this started! Should be a very interesting week.
A lot of things being played for next week. -
FlashHeard Ashland's QB rolled his ankle and was gimping some in Clearfork game? Did this have some effect on the game or are the Colts for real?
-
OQBThe Ashland defense is less than average, and the colts have a superb running game. I said before they played Ashland if they have long time consuming drives they will win, and they did. Ashland did score 33 points, 9 times out of ten you win when you score that much. I think Ashland will be one and done if that defense doesn't wake up over there.
The difference this week is it's safe to say the Riders have the best defense in the league, and probably will be the best defense the colts will face all season. That being said, if we can get up early should be the same result as in the past, but if we turn the ball over, and commit so many penalties it will be a long night. -
Go RidersThis may be a game of who hits who the hardest and lowest and what people get hurt first. Looks like a good game to get a concussion.
-
OQBWe can't afford any injuries right now...
-
OQBIt's going to be a very very very physical game though.
-
Go RidersGoing to be hard hits both ways. Get ready!!
-
OQBCan we get one of those sideline microphones, so we can hear some of these collisions in real time like they do in ESPN? haha I can't wait!
-
BRFI think we should just forfeit and prepare for Wooster. (saying something like that caused me to be called a bully by sinisterminister, though).
Go Riders!
Edit: is old school hoops still around? Great guy! -
OQBhaha, I wonder how sinisterminister is feeling tonight BRF......Karma, it will get you sooner or later!
-
5knotsCan't wait for the CF fans to invade the 'ville. Invite all of 'em to join up at the RVs and let's talk some "little man" football as Sinister would like to call us. haha. Way to shut those Arrows up Colts!!!! We look forward to a great game in Red Rider stadium Friday night. Here is to one hard hitting healthy game for all. It is going to be a long week!
-
OQBVERY LONG!!
-
GoJPM!Saw Clear Fork tonight and all I have to say is, "Wow!"
If they can't get off the schnide this year with Orrville, then time to get the voo doo dolls out, call the witch doctors, and start the exorcisms. It's not just McCune but it's Doup, Bellamy, and their tight end too. Beans may not throw much but when he did to #12 tonight.....ooouuuuuch. -
5knotsWe love a challenge. We have a big one right in front of us. You could not ask for anything better for a High School football match up.
-
OQBWe're "down" this year, don't worry Colts!
-
RedRider1I think tonight sealed up a week 11 home game for the Colts. A win over Orrville may just give them the region and one of the highest point totals in all of D-4.
I think this is how it will shake out when the dust settles on week 8....
ran some quick numbers....here how it should shake out.
If Elyria Catholic wins
1. clear fork
2. ely cath
3. genoa
4. orrville
5. triway
6. huron
7. og
8. edison
If Ely Cath loses
1. clear fork
2. genoa
3. orrville
4. ely cath
5. triway
6. huron
7. og
8. edison
Pretty confident in saying that the winner of CF/ORR is guaranteed a home game in week 11. -
THE4RINGZWill you predict the region on Sunday after the EC game to predict how the CF v. Orrville outcome will effect the region?
-
OQBCF wins, they win the region. Orrville wins, they move up to probably 2, and maybe win the region with a win over wooster as well.
-
GoJPM!
His running ability was definitely affected but he was still zinging the ball all over the field, threw three TD passes in the fourth quarter.Flash;521134 wrote:Heard Ashland's QB rolled his ankle and was gimping some in Clearfork game? The Colts are for real, imo. They are playing really well right now. -
RedRider1goJPM.....as in Jordan P McCune?
Please dont be another players parent.
and i think CF thinks they should have beat us last year...but when McCune went down, that was a big piece of their offense. Thought for sure they'd get us at the Corral last year.
I think just because it's at Orrville...it may give Orrville 7 points on the scoreboard....but if CF scores 48+ again it wont matter.
4ringz....yes...after the rankings come out, i'll project the orr/cf game each way and maybe just the whole region. Now that we're 8 wks in, it limits the projecting. -
OQBI think you're on to something RR1....
-
5knotsgutsy move by the staff sitting Max and Tre this week, but it paid off. Those two should be back next week 100% and with a vengeance. We'll need them.
-
CCRollyRegardless of the outcome of this game, the Riders WILL be banged up going into Wooster after facing a super PHYSICAL Clear Fork team. Hear's hoping no significant injuries. Good luck to the Riders, but if Clear Fork can't win this year, they never may...
-
5knots
You can only hope CC......I don't care who we put on the field for WOO.....we will be ready.CCRolly;521348 wrote:Regardless of the outcome of this game, the Riders WILL be banged up going into Wooster after facing a super PHYSICAL Clear Fork team. GoJPM!LOL!
GoJPM! as in Juan Pablo Montoya. People who read and understand my sig knows what JPM stands for.
I'm not going to argue with the logic of others who obviously have a horse in this race. However, I will say that if Orrville cannot contain that three-headed monster of McCune, Doup, and Bellamy, it will be a looooooooong night for them. Plus, another thing to factor in is that Ashland didn't really soften them up or demoralize them like they did last year going into the Orrville game. So, I don't expect any kind of hangover from CF.
