Cavs @ New Orleans 8:00 pm

SQ_CraziesFW, you continue to say that last year's team was better--so that means you aren't picking the Cavs to win it all this year?
-
ytownfootballFWIW, (speaking of watching the game and paying attention) AC gave a little speech on the subject of this years team being better than last years team during the game. Most of it centered around play inside and better overall personnel.
Curiously, he didn't mention PER stats at all...he's a doofus. -

What I am saying is that happens a lot. And secondly, Brownie should and does leave Shaqtus on the bench in crunch time...for the same reason Ben Wallace sat on the bench in crunchtime.se-alum wrote:
The wording of your statement implies that he only has 5 fouls to "use up", and he wouldn't retire to the bench after 5, he would simply be sat on the bench to be used at a later time. Retiring to the bench would mean he wouldn't be returning to the game. It's ok, everyone makes mistakes.Footwedge wrote:
They sit him after 5 fouls. Pay attention to the game. You want me to post how many times this has happened?se-alum wrote:
Is Shaq going back to LSU to play??Footwedge wrote:
Yes Shaq goes back to starting, will use up his 5 personal fouls in 20 minutes, and retire to the bench. That's been his modus operandi all season.KR1245 wrote:
Shaq goes back into the starting lineup when he returns from injury.se-alum wrote: No way will Shaq be in the playoff rotation over Powe. Check the fuckin' PER man!!
It's a good thing we have a Leon Powe available to step in.
Yes, I would love for you to post hom many times it has happened. Thank you!
Shaq is a hack machine this year. -

Good for AC. I love AC. But he is wrong in his assessment that this year's team is better. He's never gonna say anything that denotes any type of negativity. It's his job not too.ytownfootball wrote: FWIW, (speaking of watching the game and paying attention) AC gave a little speech on the subject of this years team being better than last years team during the game. I heard what he said last night...and his premises were extremely flawed. For example, he kept clamoring that this team is better in putting away the shit teams. Well...he is wrong. What he should have said to be accurate..."this year's team has done a much better job lLATELY in putting away shitty teams"...."because early in the year, there were some horrible losses. *Charlotte, the Bulls twice, and a few others".
And he has his head so far up Jamison's ass that it's nauseating. Just AC being AC. Nothing more...nothing less. -
SQ_CraziesThis team is better at putting away shit teams. Aren't they on some sort of franchise record for wins against sub-.500 records?
-
devil1197Foot, you want to bet that Shaq will be in the game during crunch time against Orlando in the playoffs?
Its all about matchups and Shaq was brought in to matchup with Howard who abused and would still abuse any other big that Cleveland has. -
ytownfootball23? in a row...I think?
-
ytownfootballEarly in the year is purely a function of familiarity with new surroundings. Simple.
-
SQ_CraziesDon't try to explain things like that to him devil, if FW was coaching this team right now they'd be lucky to have won 40 games. Actually, he'd probably just get shat on by LeBron every time he opened his mouth in the huddle.
-
devil1197Also, this team is better against the top teams in the East and LAL. Cleveland has owned the Hawks for years now.
2-0 against LAL (0-2 last year)
2-1 against BOS (1-2 last year)
2-1 against ORL (3-6 last year)
75% against 40% winning percentage?
Yeah this team isn't better overall than last years team. We are beating the shitty teams in which we were losing to last year along with beating the top threats to us in the playoffs. -
SQ_CraziesEven LeBron is better this year.

I am hoping, picking and praying the Cavs win it all. Moreso than you can ever know. I have a little bit of my hard earned money riding on it...just like last year. Just like last year's team, the Cavs are the overrall favorite.SQ_Crazies wrote: FW, you continue to say that last year's team was better--so that means you aren't picking the Cavs to win it all this year?
Let me share with you and your little toadies here that luuuuuv to pile on me.....one of the reason's why I loved last year's team....they were picked to finish 4th, with the over/under being somewhere around 48 games. They absolutely smashed all expectations with the year they had,. Mike Brown won coach of the year in a landslide. The team was mesmerizingly good. I couldn't believe that our Cavs had gone from a middle of the pack playoff contender, to the absolute best in one short year. Obviously, the major pick up was Mo Gotti.
And despite that record smashing team's success, you had your group of Debbie Downers bitchin and complaining...especially during the stretch run, when they had to continue their unbelievable play in solidifying home court advantage over the Lakers.
This year's team is approaching the level of last year's team...and they have an excellent shot at winning it all. Let's just hope and pray that people like Rashard Lewis don't bury last second, contested 3's...Or that sharpshooter DWest doesn't clank a game winning 18 footer from the baseline...or that up one, with 13 seconds to play, a 50-50 ball glances of DWest's leg instead of Howard's leg...or that an easy game winning tap in falls off instead of falling in.
The FootWedge haters can all circle jerk your teeny puds regarding what Jamison is and what he isn't. I've admitted several times that I am in the MINORITY in stating that he's overrated. But what really honks my ass...those people that make the claim that the Magic were better than our 08-09 Cavaliers. Because they weren't. What Orlando did was pull off a major upset of epic proportions. People want to spew their crap on how bad the Cavs defended the 3ball. Last year, under the tuteledge of Brownie, they were the fucking best at defending it. I repeat...the best in the league.
Shit happens in sports. I can remember playing on baseball teams and basketball teams that pulled off huge upsets and how exhillarating they were. I was also on the other end of things, and remembered how horrible I felt.
I can't help the fact that my personality views events from a factual perspective versus the knee jerk, easily sold, perspective. That's the way I am. -
SQ_CraziesBlah, blah, blah, this team is better.

Why don't you look up last year's record, you lazy sob. Didn't the Cavs have a shitty record vs the Magic? The Lakers? The Celtics? Hmmm?SQ_Crazies wrote: This team is better at putting away shit teams. Aren't they on some sort of franchise record for wins against sub-.500 records?
Wasn't that your overall bitch last year? That the Cavs beat the squibbs, but couldn't handle the big boys? Which is it? Look it up and then post. Jesus Christ what a fucking asshole you are.
Look it it up you motherfuckin cocksuckeer. I'm tired of doing your legwork. -

SQ_CraziesI'm not going to waste my time looking up stats because you're too big of a prick to read my posts anyways. Plus you'd probably come up with some "per half-second" stats that "prove me wrong" anyways. Since any stat you look up is automatically more relevant than anything else--because you looked it up. Doesn't really matter what they say..
-
ytownfootballShaq wasn't acquired to go through the motions during the regular season and ride the pine during crunch time during the fucking play-offs moron.
-
SQ_CraziesAww, did you have a rough day today or what? Or is the dick in your ass just bigger than you're accustomed to? Ripping rather than stretching?
-
Footwedge
That's fine. But Austin Carr didn't state it that way, and as a result, what he did state was erroneous.ytownfootball wrote: Early in the year is purely a function of familiarity with new surroundings. Simple.
The team lost quite a few games early in the year to squibbs. Last yaer's team was better at beating the squibbs. for the season. Since the cocksuckin motherfucking Curly won't look it up, why don't you? -

Showing off how immaturity of being a college punk. Go out and chase some sorority pie, you worthless piece of dung.SQ_Crazies wrote: Aww, did you have a rough day today or what? Or is the dick in your ass just bigger than you're accustomed to? Ripping rather than stretching? -
SQ_CraziesAnd since I don't play this game like you do, I'll answer your question.
Yes, that was the biggest thing last year. Guess what? This year they've done well against the top teams in the league--very well. Last year they did beat plenty of sub .500 teams. But a franchise record is a franchise record--it means they're doing something better than they ever have in the history of the franchise. So I asked a simple question, which I believe is true but I'm not going to spend the time to look up because I don't care that much. This year's team is better, period. I don't need that stat to hold onto this argument.
And again, if you're picking the Cavs to win the title and you don't think they're better than they were last year--then you don't make a whole lot of sense. -

Yeah right Shemp. Have Shaq on the floor up 2 with in crunch time during a playoff game. Thank God you aren't the coach. You are an idiot.ytownfootball wrote: Shaq wasn't acquired to go through the motions during the regular season and ride the pine during crunch time during the fucking play-offs moron.
