Roethlisberger accused of sexual assault...AGAIN

    What pattern?!?
    1) Riding a motorcycle without a helmet, WHICH WAS LEGAL, and getting hit by a car?

    2) Being accused IN CIVIL COURT of rape, which any nutcase could go after anyone. A case which appears completely bogus from the start.

    3) Being accused of some sort of sexual assault, but not yet charged? What if there's nothing to this? GBI already withdrew their request for DNA.

In my view, the last incident is the first and only issue here. No charges should equal no suspension. Now, foreplay in a public restroom and drinking with a 20-yr old I think could fall under conduct and possibly warrant 1-2 games.

Really you can't act on accusations that are unsupported by actual evidence and witnesses, because any player could be targeted with that. In at least 1 of these instances, Roethlisberger is a victim but people are trying to make it out as contributing to justification for suspension.
Good post Gut. The DA's office has just dropped the request for Bens DNA. So I guess the only thing Ben will be raping is the Clowns defense.
Don't believe DNA is required for charges that could be brought against him.

Yeah but it sure would have helped if the chick had a legit case. I've been listening to local Pittsburgh radio lately. Not saying what I've heard is true, but it sounds like Ben's side is rather confident nothing is going to come of this.

I'm not as worried as I once was. Still terrible PR for Ben and the team.

    No dna= No evidence
    Ben's guilty of being stupid
She's guilty of lying to get into the bar to begin with. She volunteered to go into the restroom with a well known celebrity. She goes to a 3rd rate college in a town with almost 20% unemployment. What do you think her motives were?????

No "wet dream." We beat the shit out of him the last game and we'll do it again. Besides, when did I say he wouldn't be in the AFC North "this season?" I thought he'd get a suspension, which he still will, but it won't be for the season.

So..we are all assholes for having an opinion about Ben without him being charged...but...you can say she has a 'motive' without any facts about the case being provided yet?? Gotcha.

Beating the shit out of Ben doesn't always mean getting a win. I think the Browns have beat the shit out of Ben several times....but it has only amounted to 1 win for them over the last 6 years.

I'll bet you $100 that he writes that woman a check. Does that mean he was guilty of rape? No. Does that mean that he behaved in a manner not 100% innocent? Absolutely yes.

If they decide there's nothing to go on, fine. If there's yet another settlement, he's guilty in the court of embarrassing the league. A suspension would be in order.

High priced attorneys got Ray Lewis off too. OJ, anyone remember him? Ben isnt an OJ, but look.............Every Pitts fan still labels Ray Lewis a murderer, at minimum an accomplice. Sportsnation poll tonight said 64% believe Ben has serious issues and they dont look at him the same way.

How the hell do you know that? Have you asked EVERY Pittsburgh fan their thoughts on the Ray Lewis situation? I've joked about him being a "murderer" on and off the field but fact of the matter is.....I don't know what the fuck happened that night nor do I claim to.

LOL..............Cmon. Your guy keeps getting breaks and you look the other way. Other players get breaks and you all cry foul!!

Ill patiently wait for a Steelers fan to justify that information?

Seriously do I have to say it AGAIN. You can't judge an ENTIRE fanbase by the statements of one or several fans.

Holy shit how stupid can you be?!

Who is looking the other way? As a Steeler fan I'm pretty pissed at the situation and I know A LOT that feel the same way.

Again with the blanket statements. We "all" cry foul? Bullshit. I haven't claimed that he's innocent nor have I defended him.

Anyways....what break did he get? Is there a double standard? OF COURSE THERE IS. No team in pro sports is going to dump a franchise-type player the way they would an expendable player. No team. And in that regard....the Steelers are no different. Now, if he's charged and it goes to trial and he's found guilty or it happens again after all of this......it won't matter how good he is because he will have fucked up too many times.

Justify what information, that hate article?

I just listened to a piece with Adam Schefter who's covering the owners meetings in Tampa, he even said that it's unikely Ben gets suspended if no charges are filed. Goodell will call him in, talk to him and maybe even order counciling for him but there's no way he's going to suspend Ben if he has NO PROOF of an offense.
