Listen pard, 45% from the field as a power forward sucks. Compare and contrast that shit number to Verajou or even your dog Hickson. And shooting .347 for his career....345 this season is below the league average. Look it up sleuth.devil1197 wrote: Foot, give it up. We all know you are so caught up in regular season accomplishments.
With the pieces Cleveland has, there is nothing wrong in make a team better without giving up anything.
Jamison shoots 45% from the field and 35% from the 3 point line as a PF. He is averaging 21 and 9 this season. In fact his averages this season are better than his career averages. His shooting in both FG and 3 point hasn't dipped drastically at all.
JJ had a great game last night but the Cleveland FO knows that they won't be able to rely on him come playoff time.
Just imagine having Jamison paired up with Shaq. Teams like the Magic won't be able to double Shaq with Lewis/Howard leaving Jamison to hit the 15 footers. Last night was the first time JJ hit a jumper in weeks (after Mo and Shaq basically told him to shoot last night).
This will either force the Magic to 1) have Howard guard Shaq one on one which equals immediate foul trouble 2) double Shaq and let Jamison, who is great in the playoffs, hit open jumper after open jumper. Hmmmm, does that sound familiar? Lewis getting open shot after having to double Howard last season. Then you pair Z/AV together with Z on the perimeter drawing Howard out and AV cutting/slashing to the hoop.
Why not flip the tables on the Magic by getting a 4 who can shoot WITHOUT giving up JJ in a trade. I can understand your great fasination with keeping this team together, but Ferry/Gilbert/Brown know that JJ is not playoff ready or otherwise he would be playing a lot more in crunch time situations without foul problems. If they get can get a veteran PF or even a SG to shore up any future problems without giving up main parts, you'd be an idiot not to do it.
You think you're the resident NBA GM with all your bullshit here. And it is all bullshit.
The main reason why Washington blows is because Jamison blows.
Keep posting on how bad the Cavs are though. You are fuggin hilarious.
Get your nose out of Jamison's ass. He is not nearly as good as the 2 guys we have already in place. But you're too blind to see it. The grass is always greener on the other side, in your myopic view. Well pard, it ain't.
And just so you know....you stink up the Cav threads with all your fuggin negativity. The team wins their 13th in a row last night ...and you bitch about "too many open looks"....or "who have they played over that stretch".
Incredible and really obnoxious.
The Nuggets lost by 20 plus points last night at home to a very average Spur team. How could that happen sleuth?
Do you think Nugget fans would bitch and moan after rolling out 13 straight wins? With their top 2 guards hurt?
When your team is 43 and 11, you need to bask in joy of your home team playing so well..instead of pissin and moanin over every single thing that doesn't go oh so perfectly.
Of their last 26 games, the Ccavs have 3 losses...all to winning teams...one by 1 point...one by 2 points...and one by 3. And yet you bitch like a 2 year old.
"Fans" like you are quite annoying. It's "fans" like you that would encourage me to leave Cleveland, if I were LeBron James.
Do yourself a favor and shut it down until the playoffs start. You find no enjoyment in watching this juggernaut play ball and win.
Don't ruin it for all the other Cav fans that love this team, the players, the head coach, and the top management.
Welcome to my ignore list too. Life is too short in listening to all of yourt pessimism and negativity. Even in the blogosphere of cyberspace. Have a nice life. -
ytownfootballYou're going to fill up your space on your ignore list pretty damn quick if everyone who doesn't hold the exact same beliefs as you end up there pard.
We get it, kiss Browns ass and don't make a trade. Thank our lucky fricken' stars we're 43-11. -

LMAO at comparing AV/Hickson's layups and dunks to Jamison's jump shooting %. Those two guys do not shoot jumpers and three pointers, its all easy dunks and layups. Of course their % is going to be higher dumbass.
Once again, Cleveland doesn't need to make a move but why not do it if you aren't going to lose anything worth value and those moves make you a better/deeper team.
If you cannot understand that you are a retard.
Save the best record and no moves shit. We had that last season and end result was no trophies.
Any team in any sport can get BETTER no matter what. Why don't you take Mike Brown's dick out of your ass and realize that. -
devil1197Its so funny.
Here Footwedge is saying we don't need to make moves but our own fucking GM Mr. Danny Ferry is the one talking to numerous teams about making his team BETTER AND DEEPER without giving up any core guys outside of Z who would return. You can call me the resident GM but the true GM is talking the same shit my friend.
GTFO if you cannot see the truth and realize that making a move won't hurt Cleveland it will only make them deeper with more options to work with. No player the last two years has come into Cleveland and ruined the chemistry. LeBron won't let it happen and Shaq sure as hell won't let it happen now.
I'll be 100% content with no moves being made but people are idiots to think Cleveland shouldn't make a deal if one comes along. -
FootwedgeIf anyone else wants to know about Antawn Jesus Jamison....AFG% is a tool that combines field goal shooting for both 2's and 3's. Of the top 10 Cavalier players, only Z and DeLonte (barely) have lower AFG% than Jesus Jamison.
As mentioned above, both Andy and JJ rip down more rebounds per minute than Jesus. Both Andy and JJ shoot above 55% from the field. Jesus Jamison shoots a putrid 45% as a number 4 player.
Jesus Jamison shoots a below the league 3ball average of .345 this year.
Jamison makes over 20% more money per year than what Hickson PLUS Verajou make combined. And Jamison is a fossil as it relates to NBA players at 33 years of age.
Anyone with a google button and a brain can easily understand that trading for Antawn Jesus Jamison, would be subtraction through addition.
Rant/ -
SQ_CraziesAbsolutely ZERO reason that the Cavs should pursue Jamison.

"Exact same beliefs"? I hardly think so. Certain people flat out stink up the boards. I have 2 assholes on mute now. SQ_CraziesWhy would we be lucky to be 43-11 with a better team when we had this record a year ago...
-
Cleveland BuckThe main reason I am leery of adding a jump shooter at the PF is exactly what they do well. So, we get Jamison who is a much better shooter than Hickson, and we are going to shoot more jumpers. I don't want to see that. The one thing that the Cavaliers have done on this winning streak is attack the rim. I have been begging them for years to attack the rim. With Hickson on the floor, they have to, because he can't shoot, and because he can finish. I love it, and if they bring in Jamison and start shooting jumpers, there will be nights when the jumpers don't fall, or there will be good defensive teams that won't give up open shots. If you attack the basket, you don't have even have to make the shot to get a positive result, because more often than not, you will at least be going to the free throw line. Having a couple shooters outside is necessary when teams crowd the paint, but you don't need a whole team of jump shooters.
-
KR1245I have to side with Devil on this one. The Cavs dont have a PF that can stretch the floor, that will hurt them in the playoffs. You could see the Magic hanging off of Andy and JJ last night, almost daring them to shoot from the perimter. This will only lead to teams being able to double Shaq and Lebron down low. Now imagine if they had a guy like Jamison on the court. He could park it behind the 3 pt line and totally spread out the other teams defense. Teams wouldnt be able to collapse on Shaq down low or Lebron when he drives it to the bucket. A guy like Jamison or Murphy would totally open things up for the offense.
I like where our team is at but if you can bring in a guy like Jamison or Murphy without touching your core then you have to do it. Keeping the lane open for Shaq and Lebron is a good thing, adding a shooting bigman does that.
I dont think that adding depth is a bad thing, especially come playoff time. If it doesnt cost the Cavs JJ and Z gets bought out this is a no brainer. -
SQ_CraziesGo ahead and lay off Andy and JJ then. That killed the Magic last night--will they go off the way they did last night? Probably not, but they're both very capable offensive players. There is no need to have a 4 who care stretch the floor when we have jump shooters ALL OVER THE PLACE.

KR1245
I agree with alot of this but its not as if Jamison or Murphy cant play down low. Both of them are near double digits in rebounds so they obviously arent afraid to get in there and mix it up. They can play down low but also have an element that Andy and JJ dont have. It makes the Cavs a more versatile team.Cleveland Buck wrote: The main reason I am leery of adding a jump shooter at the PF is exactly what they do well. KR1245Windys latest twitter:
Rumors all over Dallas that the Cavs are close to a deal with the Pacers for Troy Murphy. At this point, not true. Still on table, though.

Nothing new. Just thought I would add it -
Midstate01Now from windys Twitter: Trade chatter here in Dallas insane. Multiple sources say Cavs zeroing in on Amar'e Stoudemire: http://bit.ly/bqM14f

se-alumStoudemire in Cleveland would be amazing!

IS it 2009 All Star Break again? The only thing funnier than this being brought up again is all the comments on the articles saying they don't want STAT. Mo, Delonte, LBJ, STAT, Shaq....unreal lineup...and I imagine that seals both Lebron and him back here next year and a few more. Don't puss out this time Kerr but this is probably all posturing...gonna be a longgggg weekMidstate01 wrote: Now from windys Twitter: Trade chatter here in Dallas insane. SQ_CraziesCount me in for not wanting Amare. No need to disrupt the chemistry for a player like Amare--he's good but we don't NEED him. We don't need a stretch 4 either, but if we're going to get a 4 I'd rather have Jamison and even Troy Murphy. Amare is not the kind of player that we need and with where we're sitting right now there is no need to disrupt what we have for something we don't need.

ytownfootballOf all the players being talked about, Amare stands as the one player most likely to disrupt a damn fine chemistry the Cav's have going. Maybe we're wrong and it could work well, but on the surface I'm not sure this would be a positive move.
-
se-alumWhat has Stoudemire done in his career that make people think he would disrupt the team chemistry?
-
Pick6what happened to this stretch 4 cleveland is looking for. Amare is not that.
-
KR1245Amare can knock down jumpers. He cant go out as far as Murphy or Jamison but he is able to knock down the 15-17 footer pretty consistently

Amare and Shaq didn't always see eye to eye in Phoenix.se-alum wrote: What has Stoudemire done in his career that make people think he would disrupt the team chemistry?
