Official NBA Trade Deadline *Moves and Rumors*

  • Eric Taylor
If Washington keeps Z, he will not be a starter so the likelyhood is that he will be bought out.

What is up with Drew Gooden. 10 teams 8 years. Today he was traded from the mavs to the wiz to the clippers. Why is this guy shuffled around so much?

espn is reporting this now too.

Here is what I think we have when everyone is healthy..

    PG-Mo, Boobie, Bassy
    SG-Parker, West
    SF-LeBron, Moon, Williams
    PF-Jamison, Hickson, Powe, V
    C-O'Neal, V, Z(if he comes back).

    ^^^lol @ espn.

They are always the last to the party.
  • Cleveland Buck
The Cavs can still sign and trade Wally. They can make another move, I just hope it isn't a stupid one.

JJ will still play for now. If Z gets bought out, then he has to wait 30 days to come back, and JJ would get some minutes because Anderson would be getting the backup C minutes. If Z doesn't get bought out, then JJ will play for the rest of the year.

    LOL @ this tweet....

Christopher Reina: Wolves are paying almost as much to rent/audition Darko as Blazers are for Camby @chadfordinsider Over 1 hour ago.

The tweet is funny because Darko has already came out and said that he is going to return to Europe once the season is over. I doubt Minnesota will convince him to stay.

I would continue to start Hickson. Why mess w/ the chemistry of the starters. You can always get a quick substitution to Jamison when you're playing teams like Orlando.

*Z, first rounder, and Emir, for Jamison and Telfair

*Deal was about money and cap space for Clippers, and about clearing cap space and rebuilding the team for the Wizards. Deal worked because the Wizards wanted cap space, and because Gilbert is willing to take on so much salary.

    *Cavs first choice was Amare.

*Cavs had flashbacks of last years talks, and they pushed the Suns to make a decision. Suns couldn't make a decision, so Cavs went with the "backup" plan.

*Tawn is way better fit for what the Cavs need right now.

*Windy thinks about the series against Washington a couple of years ago when Jamison averaged 32 and 10 against the Cavs with no help. Great character guy who won't mess up chemistry. Played with Lebron in 06. Fits in perfectly on this team.

*Numbers aren't tremendous shooting wise this year, but he's had no help this year. No PG to get him the ball in good positions, won't be a problem here with LBJ and Shaq.

*Big bonus for the Cavs was that they didn't have to trade JJ.

*Wouldn't be surprised if JJ started and Jamison came off the bench.

*Loves the versatility and thinks he could play just fine with Andy, Shaq, or even play C with Lebron at PF
    Windy on radio:

*Can't set up the buyout with Z before any deal is made.

*Gilbert and Ferry wouldn't risk anything by trying to set up a buyout before any deal is made.

*Says that the Wizards have no reason to keep Z with Blatche and McGee needing to play.

*Says that the Cavs could offer Z the BAE if he's bought out.

*Says Jamison will be in town, but doesn't know if he'll play. Cavs fans should be very excited.

I wouldn't mind seeing Jamison come off the bench either. Adds a proven scorer to go along with the second unit.
  • 2quik4u
he did with the mavs i believe
  • sportswizuhrd
Wally, Green, Jackson to Phoenix for Richardson. Dooo it.
  • Eric Taylor
At this point I would bring him off the bench.

The chemistry this team has is pretty good at this point and you dont want to risk it by putting in someone who hasnt played with this group.
  • ytownfootball
Jamison off the bench at least short term would actually be the smarter move too I think.
  • devil1197
    OT: Billy Buford is beastin

if they sign Z back who do they get rid of?

    Not sure.

They could make a trade for a SG and get rid of a couple bench guys, or get rid of a bench guy with no move.

    ^^^^
    Telfair?

I dont see him having any value at all to this team.
  • I drain 3's
Couldn't they just release someone like Darnell Jackson or Cedric Jackson?

    Jackson is already gone.

Going to get interesting with Powe coming back

I'd rather have too much talent than not enough.
  • ytownfootball
I'll tell you what, Powe could really make this team a monster. Have pretty high hopes he'll do well.

might as well get rid of all the jacksons

I think Cleveland will look to get more at the SG before just cutting someone.

They still have some things to work with, and I think since they went with the smaller deal (LMAO Jamison smaller) then they'll look for a 2nd move. Windy reported that the Cavs could make two moves today.
