There is so much jealousy over lebron james that...

last year when the Cavs were eliminated by the Magic last year and Lebron walked off the court, the media and the haters made a huge deal out of it. Lebron was actually classy enough to apologize about it.

Yet....since then there have been a few stars that have stormed off the court after a loss this year. Kobe was one of them during a regular season game. The media didnt say anything about it, and it was hardly talked about on here.
Sunday night, when the Colts lost the Superbowl, Peyton Manning stormed off the field without congratulating any of the Saints players. It has been on ESPN a little bit, but nothing has really been said about it.

There was an article last night on yahoo about why it is ok. They said what Lebron did was ok now too. So if it was ok, then why was it blown way out of proportion for him and not for the other stars?

At least Manning showed up for the post game press conference and answered the tough questions like a man, Lebron not so much.

I haven't heard Peyton Manning say anything ridiculous to defend himself like Lebron did. "I'm a winner"

    Are you sure it wasn't "I'm a Whiner" ?

So that makes the act of walking off without shaking hands okay? Had only LeBron known that...maybe he would have been spared the criticism.

The difference between Lebron and Peyton is Lebron's dumbass reasoning for it and saying he would do it again because he couldn't bring himself to shake someone elses hand whom he had just battled. He can apologize all he wants for skipping the post game press conference but the not shaking hands and his reasoning makes it look much worse.
  • Fab4Runner
So had Lebron not tried to explain it at all it wouldn't have been an issue? I find that very hard to believe.

I don't understand how LeBron "making it look worse" makes the two incidents any different. Both players did the exact same thing. Either it is a big deal or it isn't.

    Weak.

It's too difficult to find flaws with his game so the next best route is to attempt to find a character flaw. If not shaking hands is indeed a character flaw you find significant enough to take umbrage, I don't know what to tell you.

It's not like he raped somebody.

That happens in the summer of 2010 when he does it to an entire City.

Who really gives a shit? It happened months ago. EVERYBODY get over it. When you make threads like this you look like an idiot, just like the people that originally had a big problem with it.

Haha I have to admit that is funny. You're dead wrong and a total douche, but that was funny.

Speculation and conjecture = I got nothin'

You do realize the vast difference in the end of the SB and the of an NBA playoff series, right??? The field after the Super Bowl is total chaos.
  • bo shemmy3337
It is still not ok to walk of the court at the end of a basketball game when no one rushes the floor. The Superbowl has lots of people on the field and it does make it hard to shake hands. What Lebron did was classless and immature and he apologized for it. Leave it be. your obsession of Lebron James is becoming a problem. You need to go to lebron James therapy. Well if it was your way it would be sex therapy.
  • Strapping Young Lad
Also, Lebron James is no Peyton Manning.....
  • Trueblue23
    Who cares?

Manning said he wasnt going to interrupt Brees with his family on the field and that he would just call him later when he got a chance. like someone said, there is a huge difference between what goes on at the end of the SB and the end of a NBA conference championship game.

Ok, so other Colts players congratulated the Saints after they won.The coaches still congratulated each other. You dont think there are celebrations after a conference championship series upset?

Nobody has yet to give an explanation on Kobe.
  • Skyhook79
"Nobody has yet to give an explanation on Kobe."

He is the best player in the World, that has already been established.

Once again...both players did the same thing. It's either right or wrong. There shouldn't be two answers to this question. I think what LeBron did was wrong. I also think what Peyton did was wrong. See how that works?

No they didn't do the same thing. Peyton showed up for the post game press conference to answer the tough questions. Lebron skipped out on the post game press conference and went and sat on the bus because "he is a winner"
and left it up to his teammates to answer the tough questions.

It didn't cost either of them a 4 million dollar ring.

You gotta love the obligatory Kobe-rape comment that any Cavalier fan will make when Lebron gets criticized. I'm no Laker fan and I hate Kobe, but I have to laugh at Cavalier fans when they get into panic mode and make a statement like this.
  • ytownfootball
    Panic my ass, lol

The truth shall set you free.

Whether he "raped" or not, he still shelled out a cool 4 mil. for a ring

    LeBron/Manning = not so much

Now cue the obligatory "skyhook posting the picture of kobe holding up the finals mvp trophy".
