The LeBron v. Kobe Debate--Official

How many rings did MJ win his first 7 years in the league? Don't care how good a player is, you have to have a supporting cast to win championships. The argument that LeBron hasn't won a title yet is a fuckin joke.Glory Days wrote:
that and whatever kobe does is working for the team, 4 rings....what lebron is doing for the team hasnt worked yet, no rings.wes_mantooth wrote: I don't understand why people are comparing assists with Lebron and Kobe.......passing is not Kobe's game. He flat out shoots daggers in the other teams heart at the end of games. They are soooooo different in terms of their game that it is retarded that we keep comparing them.
If the Cavs win it this year, and then resign him, (highly probable), there is no reason not to think that LBJ and the Cavs would mirror the 8 year reign like Jordan and the Bulls did.
Quality free agents will give their left nut to play with Bron. A perfect example of this was the Shaq signing. Mo has publicly gone on record in stating that wherever Bron goes, he goes. -
FootwedgeBTW...the MVP award has already been decided...barring injury to LBJ.

golf4life2008Kobe had a great game last night:
2/12 shooting for 5 points, 6 assists, 3 rebounds in 37 minutes... MVP? I think not! -
ytownfootballAnd the weekly updated cbs sportsline numbers...this should be a Durant/James debate so it would seem

golf4life2008Lebron with a little 47/8/8/5 night vs the Knicks should help his case towards winning another MVP!

KnightRyderas charles barkley put it , if lebron played with the lakers they would go 72-10. lebrons basketball IQ sets him apart from kobe.

SQ_CraziesWho gives a shit. All I know is that no matter what argument you make, if you still think Kobe is the best player in the league then you're either trying to hold onto the past or you're just a Laker fan and won't admit that he isn't. It's not even close and since this thread was started it's become more obvious night in and night out. LeBron is on a level by himself right now. The title argument isn't even relevant and it hasn't been the whole time--it's a team award/accomplishment and we're comparing individuals. No one in the history of team sports has ever won a title by themselves. Ever. When LeBron wins a title it sure as hell won't be by himself--we already saw something close to that, the Finals against the Spurs was about the closest you'll ever see to a guy trying to win it by himself--even though he didn't really try to win it himself, he didn't have a team around him at all. When you stop acting like a fucking retard and compare apples to apples--this isn't even an argument anymore.

Durant is in 2nd right now and his rating is a 90. Exactly my point, no one else is on the same level right now. -

They don't have anything else anymore. You never hear anything about Kobe's stats when arguing with Kobe fans, simply because Lebron dominates him in all of them. The only thing Kobe has on Lebron stat wise, is a slightly better FT %, and that's it. LOLSQ_Crazies wrote: Who gives a shit.
