    nah...been there, done that

    Personally, I don't give a shit.

Curious (but not enough to look it up), why do they play the anthem at sporting events, but not other entertainment events?

Put me on the don't give a shit what they do side, as to me, a flag is a symbol of government, not country.

I don't want McCown anywhere near the field once the regular season starts. Hackenberg showed promise in the first pre-season game, he was infinitely better than he was last pre-season. I know that he was dinking and dunking a lot, but he has been absolutely abysmal at passes near the line of scrimmage so this was definite progress. If he doesn't win the starting job I'm not going to be paying much attention to the NFL this year.

The only reason I give a shit is because all the attention and whining gets really old after a while.

Yes, exactly. It's discussed incessantly. WHO CARES?!

I love PTI, but it's a daily topic with them.

I don't car because I personally think what Kap did/is doing is the type of protest we need more of. He was silent, didn't go crazy in the media and blast people or groups. Just silently took a stand and made people talk about an issue he felt strongly about.

Agree or disagree with his stance, the way he went about it with his "voice" should be a teaching moment, imo.

My only issues with Kap is that he started doing the protest after he got benched and he wears the stupid Fidel Castro shirts.

I'm almost positive that if the Bengals didn't have Dalton/McCarron they would have signed Kaepernick months ago. Mike Brown doesn't give a fuck.

All NFL owners don't give a fuck. It's about winning and making $$$$.

Precisely. If Kaepernick were a real good QB, he'd be on an NFL squad. If Tom Brady or Aaron Rodgers had pulled that crap, and were on the street, they'd be signed in a heartbeat.

I see it opposite.....my country, not the government. I will always be proud and support our country, the government not so much

I agree, just saying if it was an issue with worrying about backlash from fans/media, Mike Brown would be the first to not give a shit.

Kaepernick isn't a great QB but he is far better than most backups across the league. That's obvious. You are fooling yourself if you can't see that. However, with that being said, he is having the same thing done to him that was done to Tebow. If he was just a normal guy, they would have both been given opportunities after their last job. But NFL teams hate distractions from backups. And that's what both of those guys do.

I'm pretty sure that's the point BR was making and the point that has been made numerous times in this thread...

Anyone been watching Hard Knocks this season? I was reluctant to give it a shot after last season was boring as shit, but this season hasn't been too bad.

I like it so far. Koetter is a boring coach, but the players are interesting. They need more of Miko Grimes, she is eletric.

She's too much of a psycho **** for my liking. I did like their interview where she said how much of a trash talker Brent is meanwhile he can't get a word in over her.

This is insane. It's 2017 and people are still shooting videos in portrait mode.
