    Barkley's a funny guy.

Some interesting things to chew on....especially the level of competition Jordan had versus Lebron.

Same. The media sure loves to change their narrative. First it was Mj VS Lebron and now all of a sudden they are bringing up Kobe? Just like the media has conviently changed the narrative on the East. How many times did we see that the raptors/wizards/celtics all had a chance to steal a series from the Cavs? The cavs go 16-1 (the one loss being a ridiculous collapse that still took a buzzer beater) and all of a sudden the east is trash and everyone knew the cavs would be in the finals. Bullshit, not what I heard from a lot of pundits back in February, March, and before game 3 of the raptors series.

I am not a certified Kobe hater, I think he is great and loved his kill them all attitude, but I think Lebron has surpassed him. If you gave Lebron early in his career somebody as dominant as shaq, then Lebron would already be looking for his 6th ring this season.

Sounds like the CAVS are the GOP and the West is the left... /QO

You mention LBJ passing Jordan for the all-time scoring lead. A lot of Jordan supporters will cry "but Lebron has played in so many more games than Jordan." But, if you look deeper, LBJ surpasses MJ in the efficiency category. Yes, Lebron has played in more games but it took him 118 less shots than Jordan to score MORE points.
People said this last year when the Cavs beat the all-time wins team with the first unanimous MVP coming down from 3-1 with only 1 all-start(Lebron). If he wins this year, and I think they have a good chance, people will make up additional excuses and set the bar even higher.

Lebron is the best to ever play the game. Reality, it always wins.

I know you are attempting to troll but you failed hard. I predicted sweeps in all series and was wrong on this one. Grow up.

I wasn't always of this belief, but I've come around. His numbers, not just the scoring, show me. Plus, Jordan did not face the level of competition in the Finals that Lebron has.

I know the fact that they are in the Finals again can be another "ho hum" moment for Cavs fans but we REALLY need to enjoy these moments because when LBJ is gone, we probably aren't seeing another Cavs championship in our lifetimes. He's that special of a player.

BTW, I'm taking the Cavs in 6 against the Warriors.

What has been really interesting has been the last couple days of podcasts.

Bomani Jones admitted that the only reason LeBron James will never pass Michael Jordan was because he's "just not Michael Jordan." He even broke down the elements of their game and pointed out that James can be argued to be better than Jordan at almost every aspect of the game.

Stephen A. Smith even said that if he had to pick on player in history for a whole 82-game season, he'd pick LeBron. If he had to pick someone for the final two minutes of a close game, he'd pick Jordan, but that LeBron was the most talented all-around basketball player in NBA history.

I found these both really odd, as these two guys had been pretty ardently backing Jordan in the conversation over the last several years. Granted, I suppose they have a different idea of what "best player ever" means, so they still might say Jordan was the "best," but it's funny that they came this close to saying something to the contrary.

Since 2008 the Western team that beat the Spurs lost the next round.
  • BR1986FB
Since 2011, Stephen A Smith has been wrong on every prediction of who would win the Finals. He has the Warriors in 7 this year.

LeBron has never won a championship in a year that Alabama didn't win the CFB championship.

And since 2004 (I believe) the team that has knocked out the Spurs has gone on to lose the next round. Which crazy streak will end?!?!?!??!?!
