SportsAndLady44-18 in the 4th. Wtf

Ironman92I sat down in Bdubs after a double header and Cavs up 16 with 6:40 left in game. Watched some while focusing more on Masters and just cooling down. Glanced up and were up 5 with 16 seconds left....food comes and I stop watching. I look up 7-8 minutes later and there is 4 seconds left and a jump ball??? WTH? Terrible jump ball defense with a 2 point lead. Players just standing.
Then fuck those refs n OT. That foul on LeBron to foul him out was a complete flail as he barely touched him on rebound....then Cavs shit themselves and played no defense without him and lost.
If I'm Silver I fine players $50,000 per flop or flail and can be done by reviewing game film.
Inexcusable by the Cavs -
like_thatI don't know how a team with this much talent can pull off what they did the last 2 games.

sleeperBTW roster spot is allegedly going to Dahntay Jones. LOL

Bc they don't give a fuck that's why. Lebron basically said it himself. They won't give a shit until the playoffslike_that;1846630 wrote:I don't know how a team with this much talent can pull off what they did the last 2 games.

I have a hard time buying this excuse for everything. The last two games show this team has problems.Crimson streak;1846649 wrote:Bc they don't give a fuck that's why. Lebron basically said it himself. They won't give a shit until the playoffs

friendfromlowryI don't know how much resting and monitoring MPG really, truly means, but Lebron, Irving, and Love played something like 47, 45, and 42 minutes tonight (in a loss). Draymond and Klay played 21 and 27 last night. Curry sat with a knee contusion.
-
friendfromlowryTwo games left, at Miami and home to Toronto. They could win by 25 or lose by 25 and I wouldn't be surprised which way they do.

The problem is complete lack of effort. They are just going through the motions bc they just don't give a shit right now.like_that;1846653 wrote:I have a hard time buying this excuse for everything. The last two games show this team has problems.

BR1986FBSo glad this team won their ring last year.

Azubuike24Boston has 2 home games against Brooklyn and Milwaukee, so I don't see how they lose again. Cavs just have to win the last 2 and they have home court, due to 3-1 head to head, correct?

Correct. Cavs have Miami (tonight) who is still fighting for a playoff spot and Toronto left.Azubuike24;1846716 wrote:Boston has 2 home games against Brooklyn and Milwaukee, so I don't see how they lose again. I understand this excuse, but I don't buy it 100%. They had the 1 seed wrapped up and then they lose to a Hawks team without their starting 5 and follow it up by giving up a 26 point lead. There really is no excuse for that. Now they are playing a back to back and I would not be shocked at all if they lose the 1 seed. I get they do this every year, but they didn't do this this late in the season the last 2 years. I could easily see this team knocked out in the East or get hot and win a title. Neither would shock me.Crimson streak;1846649 wrote:Bc they don't give a fuck that's why. Lebron basically said it himself. They won't give a shit until the playoffs

The magic number is 2. So need 2 wins, or 1 win with 1 Boston loss, or 2 Boston losses to clinch.Azubuike24;1846716 wrote:Boston has 2 home games against Brooklyn and Milwaukee, so I don't see how they lose again. We would already be clinched if we beat the Hawks Friday and Yesterday. -

The lack of effort was there but the refs were absolutely dog shit as well. Multiple missed calls in the 4th Quarter didn't help(the quick 5 second count on Lebron's inbound, Lebron's 6th touch foul, and the "jump ball" with Lebron calling a timeout and the refs missing the 2 players out of bounds by the Hawks).Crimson streak;1846706 wrote:The problem is complete lack of effort. The effort explains a majority of the points in the 4th but the refs turned the game from a narrow Cavs victory to an OT loss. -
sleeperIf Lue wasn't hand picked by Lebron, I'd have fired him already. With this roster, to only win 51/52/53 games is an absolute joke.

I'd start with the supporting cast. All five starters were positive on the +/- ratio. All four bench players were negative, in some cases, hilariously so considering their minutes (Shump, -23 in 18 minutes; Williams, -10 in 8 minutes). Regardless of how good the stars are, if you're not getting quality minutes from other guys, winning isn't going to happen consistently. No matter how good LeBron and Kyrie are, the gap between them and others isn't so large that it can overcome shit production from most everyone else.like_that;1846653 wrote:I have a hard time buying this excuse for everything. Lue's excuse for the game was that the starters were tired. Well geez, who is supposed to manage the minutes of the starters? This coach is absolute trash.Heretic;1846748 wrote:I'd start with the supporting cast. All five starters were positive on the +/- ratio. Rest > #1 seed I guess. If they're playing like a crap with all of them and losing, might as well rest and lose.friendfromlowry;1846801 wrote:Love, Lebron, and Irving all out tonight. -

I reluctantly agree with this decision. They clearly are fatigued and the 1 seed isn't worth coming out to start the playoffs completely flat. The reality is, we aren't going to have the HCA in the Finals regardless and we don't need HCA to win the East. It would be nice to have it but it is not required.Benny The Jet;1846802 wrote:Rest > #1 seed I guess. If they're playing like a crap with all of them and losing, might as well rest and lose.
Fire Lue though. -

Part probably has to go to management. This is an amazingly expensive team that leads to a ton of luxury tax being paid and what is there? The 3 stars, TT for rebounding and a bunch of role players. JR hasn't been good this year, Korver and Frye either are on shooting or pretty worthless and no one else can even be mentioned as more than depth that may be quality one night and then pathetic the next. Leads to a situation where, as a coach, Lue knows that he has to ride his starters because the bench will just get overwhelmed, leading to the starters getting tired and overwhelmed. How do you manage the minutes of the starters when you know that the guys you bring in for them aren't likely to be competitive with the other team?sleeper;1846750 wrote:Lue's excuse for the game was that the starters were tired. Sorry not buying that. There are teams that don't have 1 star that the Cavs have and Lue needs to find a way to maximize their minutes on the floor to get the most production. There's no reason to play Irving, Love, and Lebron all at the same time the entire game. The bench isn't exactly full of trash, Lue just doesn't know how to manage the roster. He's a 39 year old coach with little experience who was gifted a strong roster and Lebron James and he sucks.Heretic;1846806 wrote:Part probably has to go to management. In Lebron we trust though. If there's one player in NBA history who can will any team to a championship, it's Lebron James. I don't bet against that guy. -

Looks like Lebron gives no Fs. At a night club in Miami to 3am last night. -
vball10setThis team WILL NOT be in the Finals. Period.
