Blowing two 14 point leads along with LBJ turning the ball over 8x's doesn't help.

Tristan Thompson seemed to be non-existent last night on the glass and just a general lack of hustle from the entire team yesterday.

They are clearly in coast mode until the playoffs but I think the 1 seed would be nice to have.

    Yup...

"Cleveland has also struggled on the glass since Kevin Love went out for knee surgery. Over the past 12 games, which stretches one month, the Cavs have been outrebounded on the offensive glass by a whopping 54. The team is 6-6 in that span."

Needless to say, the cavs need Love back. Hopefully Larry has something in his tank where he can help on the boards. I don't really expect much out of him, so anything positive will be pleasant surprise.

This too. It's not just Lebron, but the rest of the team with careless turnovers. I give the entire team a solid F for effort since the end of February.

TT probably played the worst game of his season. I think we will keep the 1 seed, but they could have locked it up the last 2 weeks, instead of fucking around. Would have been nice to rest their guys. Losing to Miami twice and then losing to the Pistons coming off a back to back is just inexcusable. All 3 losses they didn't turn up the effort until there were 4 minutes left. That's how you dare teams to beat you.

Has anyone seen the terms to the Sanders contract? I would hope the Cavs signed him with a team option.

    Team option for '18

I got an alert that he's expected to play most of the regular season with the Charge?!? I get needing to get his feet under him after being out for a couple years, but what's the point of that if they're hoping he contributes in playoffs? We suck as it is right now, might as well get him adjusted now. Maybe I'm missing something...

Reports are that he has lost a lot of weight and is out of shape. They don't want to just throw him in the NBA on a championship level team after being out for 2 years.

Again, for the 100th time, there is a reason why a lot of teams passed on him including the Cavs.

Also, he's going to practice with the Cavs but play for the Charge.

I actually agree with this idea. He needs 40+ minutes a night to get back to NBA ready and he's not going to get that on the #1 seed.

He'll be up sooner rather than later. I'd bet he's back on the Cavs roster by week of March 27th.

What's the latest on Love's return? Original guess was 6 weeks, it's been 4.

Haven't seen anything. Only thing I heard was lebron yesterday said Love will be back soon. Whatever the hell that means.

    Nice little All-Star game-esque 44 point 1st quarter.

Also, reports of Love returning during upcoming West Coast trip beginning Saturday.
  • Crimson streak
Well at least they finally came to play tonight

There's the Pistons, almost a contender in the east, but still down by 30 in the 3rd quarter.

Cavs bringing Sanders up from charge, where he hasn't even played yet. Been looking for more info on why, after saying he needs to get into playing shape. Is it due to Gobert ?
  • Crimson streak
Love is back tonight. It will be nice to have a couple weeks of getting some chemistry down with a full squad for once

KI & Shump both out with injuries. It sounds like Kyrie's may just require some rest. Any word on Shumpert?

Lue said they are both "fine." Sounds like they weren't taking any chances and they shouldn't. If this were a playoff game Kyrie would have never came out (unless it was a first round sweep or some shit).

Shump might be day to day while he gets rest, which is fine with me. I think Shump needs time away from the court to refocus, because he has been painfully garbage. I can't wait for Korver to get back so Frye and Shump can have their minutes reduced tremendously. So fucking sick of watching Frye try to play defense down low. To be fair to him, that's not what the cavs brought him in for, but Frye also has been cold from 3. Maybe taking away the defensive responsibility will help him out.

    Re: Kyrie

I think he might need to start playing smarter the older he gets. Crossing the shit out of guys 10x can't be good on the knees. He should just cross them once lol. A 24 year old shouldn't be getting knee tightness. He obviously doesn't stretch enough. He should follow Lebron's lead and take yoga.

Not to change topics, but Lue's going to have some interesting decisions, come playoff time, regarding minutes. They are so stacked I hope he doesn't get the "deer in headlights" and pick the wrong guys/rotations. Nice problem to have.

Rotations get smaller in the playoffs, especially as teams progress. It shouldn't be that difficult for Lue. I just want these guys to be healthy for the start of the playoffs. They fucked around and could have secured the east top seed and get some rest. Isiah Thomas isn't traveling with Boston for their weekend road trip against NYC and Philly. This is a good opportunity for the Cavs to create a little more distance and start resting their guys.

I say there is about an 80% chance the cavs lose the 1 seed. This team simply does not give a fuck about playing defense. Giving up 73 points to Denver in the first half is embarrassing. The genius NBA scheduling also has backloaded a bunch of back to backs for the Cavs to end the season [emoji108].

One of those back to backs being against the Celtics, on the road, on the second night.

Keep hoping that they will turn on the defensive "switch" at some point. I know LBJ can/will do it but have no confidence in the rest of this crew doing it. Way too many defensive liabilities.

12 games left and I agree with you that they have a pretty good chance of losing that #1 seed. They aren't a good team on the road but the playoffs can be a whole different animal.

Well, this team has proven twice it is. Still very frustrating to watch them right now.

Crazy the reviewed that on LeBron. Need to put them away
